Cams 9th birthday

We are currently in the year 2009 and it's February.

It is the 29th of February and it's Cam's 36th birthday or like he would say, his 9th birthday as he was born on the 29th of February, which only exists every four years.

Remembering the 17th episode of season 3, I talked to Mitchell a few days ago on a brunch.

In that episode, it was revealed that Cam told Mitchell that he would like to have a quiet birthday. Mitch did that and Cam was mad at him.

After the brunch, I asked Mitchell what he planned for Cam's birthday, to which he told me that Cam wanted a quiet birthday. I looked at him like he was a fool.

Seeing my look Mitchell wanted to know what was wrong and I asked him if he really knew Cam. After not understanding me at first. I told him that Cam wanted a big birthday party.

Finally understanding me, he asked for my help as he needed to organize a birthday party in just a few days. If it was for a normal person it wasn't hard, but we needed to satisfy Cam. That is Cam is not a normal person and has higher standards.

I and Mitchell met each other regularly in the past few days and planned Mitchell's birthday party. In the meetings, I happened to meet Pepper for the first time. It was nice to talk to him. I liked him.

Today was the day.

We had luck as Cam was at school, for the summary of the first half year of school and the continuation of that year. The meeting would take place from 9 am (9) to 3 pm (15). With the average driving time to school of 20 minutes, we had a bit more time.

Mitchell had to work, but, I, Haley, Claire, Phil, Jay, and Gloria had time.

Me, Mitchell, and Pepper decided to make the birthday in a farm style.

I told them about my design ideas. It was pretty much the same as the Thanksgiving party in season 8, episode 7.

They liked my idea, and we only changed it a bit to be more glamorous.

Anyway, after we brought all the hay and the animals into the house, the others were mostly exhausted.

We still needed to bring in a few decorations like ice sculptures.

Luckily Claire, Gloria, and I still had energy and brought in the rest before Cam came home.

After we were finished at around 1 pm (13), the first guests came. They were supposed to come between 1 pm (13) and 3 pm (15) as we wanted to surprise Cam.

At around 3 pm (15), Mitchell came home as he asked his boss if he could finish his work earlier today. He told us to hide and we did.

At around 3:25 pm (15:25), Cam drove into the driveway. Mitchell got out of the house and greeted Cam. He acted like he did as Cam told him, that was having a quiet party with only Mitchell.

After Cam opened the door with a bit of sadness mixed with anger, he saw us in his house and we shouted, "Happy Birthday Cameron", with a banner dropping from the ceiling with the same sentence and a little background music.

Cam was surprised at the first moment and screamed like a little girl, which made us all laugh.

After Mitchell came in, Cam thanked him immediately and they danced intimately.

The party continued until 10 pm (22). After the party, Mitchell came to me and thanked me again for reminding him of Cam's nature.
