The main city was the safe harbour and a supply station for all the players. Without medicine and other supplies from the main city, the efficiency of the players training outside the city will decrease drastically.

Moreover, every equipment had fixed durability so once they were damaged, they would just be destroyed since there was nowhere to fix the equipment outside the city.

What would it feel like to live in the wild without medications and equipment?

This would mean that the players could only battle small monsters with little EXP and not the monsters with a slightly higher level or even BOSSES.
