Time To Leech

'Once I join 'Snow' all I have to do is join their expeditions and secretly steal the loot with my loot aura!' Zoom had an evil smirk on his face while imagining his progress within the game.

It didn't take long for Zoom to now be a part of Snow, inside the guild chat which was a function only available to players with a guild, countless groups were recruiting members to join them.

'Since I don't want to say that my class is the 'Looter Class' I'll simply use my sword and maybe buy some armour after I sell the corpses I have.

It was best that Zoom became a tank or maybe a melee fighter who were in the frontline because his loot aura unfortunately had a very short range of only 10 meters around him so being a frontline fighter was so that he was always close to the loot.

Zoom went to the commercial area of the city which was fully packed of people, people from different races and species could be spotted everywhere. After 10 minutes Zoom had arrived inside a shop that was filled of weapons on display.

Zoom approached the counter where a clerk was stationed and asked if he could sell the corpses of beasts which the clerk nodded in response. Zoom was escorted towards another room which was spacious enough for Zoom to place the corpses.

A pile of different beast corpses lay on the ground with the most notable ones being the Giant Red Mantis and the Wind Tiger. After appraising every corpse the clerk offered Zoom 43,700 UC.

[UC = Universal Coins which is the currency used all throughout the universe.]

Zoom had no idea whether the prices was fair or not but nonetheless he agreed to the offer because upon arrival he saw a set of plate armour that costed only 10,000 UC.

"Do you have any armour that has very high defence yet isn't too heavy and can still give me the ability to run as fast as I can and a shield, oh and my budget is only 43,700 UC." The clerk pondered for a bit before he escorted Zoom to the shop where an armour set and shield was displayed.

The clerk took out the armour set and shield, then he presented it to Zoom for him to appraise.

[Wind Plate Armour Set (Level 8)

+40 Endurance +50 Defence +5 Agility

Skills:

Two Lives: The wearer will receive an additional 100% health buff.]

With this armour, Zoom's health is doubled and the 5 points in agility is a great addition just incase he needs to run since plate armour is usually heavier compared to cloth and leather armour.

Zoom was still new to the game and to him, the consequences of death are still unknown to him so he had to tread carefully, luckily you don't lose the items in your inventory upon death which is good news.

[Wind Shield (Level 8)

+20 Endurance +20 Defence +5 Agility

Skills:

Reflect: 2% of the damage that an enemy deals to your shield will be reflected and considered as true damage.]

With this Zoom paid a hefty 25,000 UC which was more than half his wallet but he didn't hesitate since this was a great investment.

After wearing the set Zoom was now fully clad in armour coloured in light green, the armour wasn't too thick back is was durable and it was comfortable to move, his shield was rectangular in shape and coloured in green as well with small spikes protruding in front of it.

Before Zoom left the shop he bought a few health potions which costed him another 5,000 UC.

Now that Zoom has fully geared up he went to the guild chat and searched for a party that was looking for a tank and it didn't take long for Zoom to find a group that piqued his interest.

His party consisted of twenty players with three tanks, three healers and the rest as damage dealers with a few supports.

Their destination was the twenty man dungeon in the outskirts of the forest, it was a beginner dungeon so it was only level 1 so it didn't pose much of a threat.

The one leading the group was a beta player who was assigned by their guild master to help their newbies grow, the beta player was called Lem and he was a tank, appearance wise he looked to be in his mid thirties with a full grown beard on his chin.

They gathered near one of the gates of the city for five minutes before they embarked on this journey, right before they left Lem had taken a quest from the adventurers guild to enter the hell mode of the dungeon and retrieve a flower which was purple in colour.

The rewards were as follows:

+1,000,000 UC

+40 Level 8 Beast Cores

The rewards would be split between the whole party.

The rewards were enticing especially to newbies such as them, but to Zoom and Lem they didn't seem much but nonetheless they were something. Zoom had long since consumed the two level 10 beast cores which gave him 8 stat points, 10 skill points and 1 tier fragment.

Zoom added his 8 stat points onto perception so he can sense attacks and be able to dodge them. And in total, Zoom had 18 skill points which was not enough to upgrade any skills, his main focus was to upgrade his skill, escape and steel legs but each of them needed 500 skill points to be upgraded.

'Hehe...' Zoom had thoughts about how he could exploit this quest and one idea popped onto his mind.

It didn't take long for the party to arrive near a hillside where a large stone gate stood, they encountered a few beasts along the way but due to their numbers the beasts stayed far away from their location.

Beside the large stone gate was a stone tablet that stood a meter tall with small words carved onto it that said.

[Wind Dungeon (20 Man Dungeon) - Level 1]

Their party leader Lem approached the gate and the gate suddenly opened as if sensing Lem's presence, with this Lem was given three options, one was normal mode, the second being hard mode and lastly hell mode.

Without any delays Lem chose hell mode.
