He was also relieved to know that he could adjust the duration of the auction according to his preference. This made him feel more at ease.

Curiosity struck Xin, wondering if his [Relationship Level] with Emma would decrease if he auctioned the [Explorer's Pack]. To satisfy his curiosity, he tested it out. However, he noticed that Emma simply smiled brightly without making any comments or objections.

Baffled by this, he put up his screen and read in his [Library]. Once his [Relationship Level] with an NPC reached [Intimate], there was no decreasing it.

Emma blushed and nervously suggested, "Um . . . I have a break in about thirty minutes. If you want, we could grab breakfast at the nearest . . ."

But before she could finish her sentence, Xin abruptly walked away, seemingly ignoring her. He noticed a prompt on his screen about marrying her, but he decided to log out.

Back in the real world, Xin looked at the clock and realized it was only around three in the morning. It seemed strange because, in the game, it had felt like it was already nine in the morning.

Intrigued, he decided to search for information online and discovered that Guildbane had its own unique timeline that differed from the real world. Although time passed at the same rate as in reality, the game's internal clock operated independently.

As Xin turned off his phone and settled into the thin mattress on the floor, he attempted to drift off to sleep.

However, his mind was still buzzing with thoughts from the game, making it challenging to doze off. It took him a whole extra hour of tossing and turning before sleep finally embraced him.

But little did Xin know that his dream would take a peculiar turn. In his slumber, he found himself surrounded by a swarm of eager NPCs, all clamoring for his hand in marriage. They bombarded him with proposals, each one more enthusiastic than the last.

He had a nightmare that day.
