2: A peaceful day out

"Zilong, heard you did a turret dive!" A blonde man with a sword strapped in his waist walked over to Zilong who just got out of the transfer gate. He wore a blue robe, the smile on his face made him even more handsome.

"Don't remind me of something so horrible Alucard." Zilong walked towards Alucard with a defeated expression.

"So it did happen." Alucard laughed and patted Zilong's shoulder.

"Let it go Alucard. Even I found it painful to watch." Miya appeared out of the transfer gate.

"Hey Miya, so how horrible was it?"

"Zilong's horrified expression was so horrible, I might not be able to sleep. Who knew the son of the dragon can be such a coward?" Miya teased.

"Right, he's a coward sometimes." Alucard laughed loudly.

"You guys just don't know how painful it is to die for 18 times!"

"What? 18?"

"Yes 18!" Zilong affirmed.

"By the way, Alucard why are you here? You wouldn't be here just to tease this coward right?"

Zilong flinched at the word coward.

"I'm waiting for Eudora. Where's that girl?"

"Ah, she's not here." Miya answered.

Alucard blankly looked at Miya, he'd been keeping an eye at the gate for almost half an hour.

"Her player did afk, now she's stuck in afk labyrinth." Zilong pushed aside all the embarrassment and was now back to his proud expression.

"You saying those words with that expression is literally asking for a beating." Miya eyed Zilong.

"Not again." Alucard sighed.

"Thanks guys, I'll go pick her up." Alucard waved them goodbye.

Miya looked up at the clock at the Central square.

"I need to go. See you around." Miya turned and left.

"Hey wait! Miya!" Zilong shouted but Miya just waved her hand and coolly left.

"Why is she cooler than me sometimes…" Zilong mumbled.

"Since when were you cool brother?" A cute voice called out to Zilong.

Zilong then found a little girl with big, bright eyes staring at him. The girl had a bob haircut with a large ribbon on her head.

"Hihihi, stop staring at me. Watch out for neck problems." The little girl giggled.

"Angela…is brother not cool?"

"Angela thinks brother's too cute to be cool! Oh! Nana! Brother, Angela will go first!" Angela hoppingly left to meet her other midget friend.

Zilong froze due to Angela's words. He always thought he was a cool guy. Truly, reality is cruel especially if it is an innocent child that revealed the truth

Miya looked around. This place is way too dark,why does she want to meet up in this place?

"Miya, you're early." A light green haired girl appeared out of nowhere. Her voice is cool and just like the calmest of waters, you'd find no ripples. Upon closer look, the new girl is also an elf but her and Miya gave off complete opposite auras. If Miya radiates light then she radiates darkness.

"You're late Karina."

"Sorry, sorry. Let's go, the pancakes might run if we don't hurry." Karina had a child like smile on her face.

Miya quietly looked at Karina. She raised her hands and pulled Karina's cheeks.

"How come you have more expression than I have?" Mita seriously asked. She was supposed to be a moon elf but she rarely laughed, even smiling made her facial muscles cramp.

"You're just stiff as wood!" Karina held both of Miya's hands away from her cheeks.

"I'm not. Let's go."

"Mou Miya-chan should smile more." Karina giggled.

"You should stop hanging around Kagura." Miya sneered.

"I don't want to. That girl's airheadness is amusing to watch."

"I never knew you were this sadistic."

"I'm supposed to be an assassin, of course I have to be sadistic sometimes."

Miya and Karina exchanged a few more sentences before arriving at the pancake store.

"This…maybe this…no…" A lady with long silver hair had a worried expression on her face. Her blue eyes were filled with sadness.

"Eudora"

"Wait, just wait!" Eudora puffed her cheeks.

Alucard couldn't help but sigh. Why did he lose on their bet? He never knew buying a pancake was this hard.

"Eudora, hurry up. Karina's stomach is making a noise."

Eudora turned around and saw Miya with Karina.

"Hey two elves! Wait, I'm also one...never mind. Great timing, which should I get? Chocolate or strawberry?"

"Chocolate" "Strawberry"

Miya and Karina both answered at the same time. Eudora laughed and ordered blueberry. Miya didn't bother asking, Eudora's mind is sometimes a deep as the ocean, unfathomable.

Miya and Karina ordered their pancakes and sat near the window.

"This is yummy!" Karina praised.

"It is."

"How'd the match go?"

"We won. Why weren't you there?"

"Ah…I had some business to do. I thought I could be back before the match ended but it took longer than expected." Karina continued gobbling up her food.

"Business?"

"Alucard accidentally didn't turn on his protection ring before going back so a player ended up seeing the city and stuff."

"Everything's fine now?"

"Yep. I went incognito and hacked the forums. Most of the players think it's all made up. But we can't let our guard down, something might go wrong. Was what Hylos said."

Miya nodded in agreement and they ate their food in peace.
