Couldn't Break Down

An unknown time later, Suzain was pulled in an unknown embrace.

She looked up to meet with a pair of gentle yet strict looking Green eyes.

A woman who was in her late fifties was hugging Suzain lightly and patting her back slowly.

There were drops of tears at the corner of her eyes.

"What did you promised her?"The woman asked her in a cracked voice.

Suzain looked down and gave a bitter chuckle.

"She asked me to promise her to never cry for her."Suzain's word barely made their way out from her mouth and she choked.

But, she didn't cry.She didn't allowed a single tear to escape from her yes.

The woman was shocked and stopped patting Suzain. The next moment, the tears she had been holding for a long time rushed out from her eyes one after another.

She tightened her arms around Suzain.

Suzain also leaned against her shoulder.

For a period of time, there was complete silence between them.

Suddenly, Suzain looked up into the woman's eyes and asked in a doubtful tone,"Teacher, do you think i am a bad person?Otherwise, why would that b*tch ask me not to cry.Am i nothing to her?How can she be so selfish?She left me alone but didn't wanted me to cry.How can she do this to me?"

Suzain voice was broken.

When Wang Yao heard Suzain's doubtful and broken voice.Her eyes started tearing up more.

"No, she knows you too well.She knew that you would cry yourself to death.If you  started crying even for once."Wang yao patiently replied to her in a soothing tone.

Suzain didn't replied.She just closed her yes.She was tired.She was tired after losing her only family.She was tired by controlling her tears.She was tired by burying her grief n her heart.

Slowly, her eyes felt heavy and she fell asleep due to exhaustion.

Suzain was frowning in sleep, tears were hung at the corners of her eyes.But, she stubbornly held them in.she was unwilling to cry even in her sleep.

Suzain was having the dream of Crystal jumping down the high-school building.She was helpless as Crystal jumped down and died in her arms.All she could is to watch Crystal going away from her forever.

Wang Yao's heart ached for Suzain and Crystal.

She was their homeroom teacher during the time they studied in high school.

She was especially fond of both of them.They were excellent students always bringing honor for the high-school.

Wang Yao also knew that both of them were orphans who grew up together in the same orphanage.she was also aware of their close bond including their special promise.

When, she saw someone falling  down from the staff-room window.She quickly ran outside the building to inspect the situation.

The scene which she encountered after coming out of the building shocked her to the bones.

Suzain and Crystal were leaning foreheads with each other while Crystal whole body was laid sprawled on the ground in a pool of blood.

She knew that they are making a promise.A special promise for the only two of them.

The next second Crystal was lying lifeless in Suzain's arms.

She rushed up to them to comfort Suzain. At that time, Suzain needed someone by her side the most.She couldn't let Suzain to break down.

When she reached up to them, She saw that Suzain wasn't crying.She was more grief-stricken than Wang yao had imagined.

She didn't said anything but just patted Suzain's back as her eyes landed on Crystal's pale face devoid of any sign of life.

Her heart ached.She wanted to cry but she held her tears.If she broke down, what about Suzain?She would never be able to take the blow.

She continued comforting Suzain soundlessly while trying her best not to break down.But, SHE COULDN'T BREAK DOWN.

She was still not able to believe that Crystal is no more.
