"Yukimizu, wake up your going to be late."

The voice was calming. Having no hint of urgency in it at all. Yukimizu opened his eyes to see his mother cleaning his room.

" Good Morning, " Yukimizu said as he stretched his body.

"The exam for the school is about to start you know," Yukimizu's mother looked at him with compassion and love as she slowly swept the floor.

Yukimizu's face turned depressed. "Do I really have to go?"

Yukimizu's mother sat on his bed and cupped his face. " You know me, I won't force you into anything." Yukimizu's mom smile radiated the room. Everything looked like it was brighter. Yukimizu waged a war in his heart debating to go or let his mother's smile go to waste.

Yukimizu thought and said, " I'll go."

Yukimizu's mom smile got bigger as she said, " I help you get ready."

Yukimizu quickly said, " I could dress myself mother." He jumped from his bed onto the floor as he ran towards his dresser.

Haimaku Pavilion

Yukimizu walked as if he just robbed the bank. He slowly walked with his eyes panning everywhere. Changing his gaze suddenly expecting a sneak attack behind him. The following students walking where looking at him with a crazed look.

"Who is he?"

"Is he the guy that doesn't have any powers?"

"Yeah, his name is like Tanken, or something?"

Yukimizu looked at the students with a scared look. He quickly walked faster to his destination.

Haimaku Pavilion is a school in the ever growing Skylaw city. Skylaw is divided into five areas forming a rhombus. To the north the Dragon Sect dominated the lands with absolute authority. To the East was the Tang Sect. They are the commoners with deadly secrets. They stake stalk the streets at night, open their businesses in the morning. To the South was the ever beautiful Kireina Sect. Young boys and girls would find themselves practicing beauty powers or art, in an effort to be gorgeous. To the west was the Sumato sect, where geniuses alike, solve the ever growing problems of Skylaw city. Finally in the middle of them all was the Skylaw Sect. Fei Lo, the young master of the Dragon Sect tormented Yukimizu as long as he can remember. Fei Lo was taller then Yukimizu, and was a year older. They both known each other ever sense childhood. They were like brothers. It wasn't until that fateful night when they started to drift apart.

"HHHH-HEy." Yukimizu's voiced cracked from fear.

"Hahahaha, I see that you haven't grown at all. Isn't that adorable, a little kid still wanting mother's milk. I can't believe that they actually let you show up. The world sure doesn't know trash when they see it. " said Fei Lo wanting to torment Yukimizu before the exam.

Yukimizu felt depressed. Yukimizu thought , ' Why didn't I stay home?'

Yukimizu tried to shuffle his way out until Fei Lo shoved him towards his direction. Yukimizu fell to the floor, face came full contact with the concrete.

" Haha, you don't even know how to walk properly." Fei Lo was full of tears out of laughter.

Yukimizu slowly got up and ran the opposite way of the exam and into the Forbidden Forest. His eyes full of tears and embarrassment.

GlaringError here! As I have already mentioned in my author review I am restating it here since I am getting tons of comments about it, that I am more of a reader myself than a writer, I made this novel in an attempt to capture my fantasy world residing in my mind into words.. Writing is new for me.. The premise of my novel is inspired by many great works that I have loved over the years. And some elements I have in my novel that are slightly similar to them but it's just the skeleton of it, the real meat of the plot is entirely my own cooking. Some of the influence that is more noticeable is from The Runesmith (By Kuropon), The King's Avatar (By Butterfly Blue) and Shadow Slave (By Guiltythree). I have immense respect for these legends and I can only hope to follow in their footsteps. To all those who comment just by judging the name, at least give it a chance before letting your opinions be known. Thank you.
