Chapter 2: To Fairy Tail (Reboot)

Tenrou Island which is the holy ground for fairy tail members. This is the place where rank exam is conducted now.

As I land in the island all that is visible is the trees and sand. This is my first time coming here, while I'm enjoying the view emma was contacting the guild master makarov.

Slowly I move to the left with Emma, and a sec after we saw a body was thrown to the place we are standing a moment ago. The body belongs to the boy who looks around 18 years old with pink hair and a white scarf.

A moment later the boy stood up and said "I'm all fired up" and jumped to the location he came from.

Now we all know the protagonist of the fairy tail right, introducing Natsu Dragneel AKA E.N.D.

After waiting here for a while we are greeted by the old man makarov and he is one of the S rank hunter in the Magnolia Town. We went to the place where the rank exam is going to happen.

The place is a like a park with a huge ground and have some houses with some electronic equipment for monitoring the exam.

Soon the old man makarov began explaining the rules to the participants.

There are three parts of the exam:

First test is to collect as many mana stones as possible which are collected from the E rank gate within 2 hrs. This test will show how much they can sense their surroundings which is important in riding the gates.

Second test is to fight among themselves by entering into a caves which are connected to 3 battle fields. So the opponent they encounter is purely random and this will show how ready they are when meeting an opponent they don't expect and their ability to push though.

Third and the last test is to fight against the ranked hunter which in this case can either be from the guild or from the hunter association based on the Choice of the guild master.

While the old man is explaining the rules, Im observing the participants of the exam.

There are only 4 of them: Natsu Dragneel, Gray fullbuster, Cana, and Erza scarlet.

Currently fairy tail only has three S rank hunters: Old man Makarov The guild master, Gildarts the strongest hunter in the guild followed by laxus the grandson of the old man.

'I should take a vacation in a place like this and enjoy having naked beach with my lovely sue, Cass..'

"While it's not my business to interrupt your perverted fantasies, Pls maintain some dignity as we are now representing the H.A (Hunter association) now"

'Does she have some kind of mind reading power that I don't know of. How can she know my thoughts everytime. As far as I know she is intelligent and her body..'

"Pls don't think about anything weird about me and don't forget to monitor the exam, the last time you messed up by almost causing major injury to bakugo in the exam".

'Ok she definitely has some mind reading power'.

"How come you know everything I think about and for the justification on my part about the last exam it was his fault for eyeing for sue" I tried to justify.

"While it is good to relieve some stress on the guy eyeing your girlfriend, breaking almost every bone in his body and preventing him from breathing for 3 mins is the most inhuman torture which can't be used even on criminals" she said with irrigation in her voice.

"My bad, I lost my cool there" While it is true that I went a little overboard but from my point of view he had it coming.

While we are discussing, the exam started started.

I don't have much to do as first two tests will be monitored by Emma. So, I decided to have some talk with the old man.

I know about him from the anime and some news, he is exactly like what the anime shows a good guide master and a fun guy to be around.

While we are talking the first round is completed with Natsu collecting the most stones and jumping up and down like he became S rank. 2nd position goes to Erza followed by Cana and lastly gray which is surprising to me but whatever.

Now the second part has begun and the most boring part to me is to wait so I decided to call Cassie as sue is busy with some mission.

But Cassie number is not connected much to my disappointment.

**Sometime Later**

"Ok this is boring"

"Mr.Anderson, pls note that you're thinking aloud" Emma said setting next to me while observing the battle between Erza and Natsu while taking some notes.

Finally after what feels like an eternity later Erza is the one standing ready to go to next round.She then fought with gray who defeated Cana in the other battle field and with no big surprise Erza is still standing, meaning she will be the one to take the last test.

Now, who will fight her will be simple, first Gildarts is not available here as he is doing some mission probably 100 years old quest from the manga.

Second Laxus is in a gate that appeared in the middle of the Magnolia.

So the only option is the old man or me, which is very easy to decide.

"Hello Ms.scarlet, I'm Mark Anderson from H.A and the one to conduct the final test, a pleasure to meet to you" I said to the red head stand opposite to me.

"Nice to meet you Mr.Anderson" she said with a small bow.

"Now you know the rules miss, you have to hold on as long as you can in this fight to get the approval of me or you have to defeat me, got it"

"Yes"

"Now let's start the test" with that we are ready facing eachother waiting for the signal.

"Start" said Emma while firing the gun.

Immediately after the signal she closed the distance between us and swing the sword in her hand to my neck which was pretty obviously a beginner's move.

But it seems I've underestimated her fighting experience she immediately ducked and went for the legs which in my opinion is good to let your opponent think he knows your move and surprise him/her with the unexpected.

This move is good but she is facing me and I'm not the average A rank.

I used my energy manipulation to cast a shield around my body and stood there with hands in my pocket.

So, she went on and on and on...with different requips and all, but I didn't move from where I'm standing. The ground surrounding me is full of holes but even my clothes don't have any dust on them.

"Hey, is he an A rank tank type hunter" asked Grey to Emma.

"Not really" was the reply he got.

"Yosh, it's time to finish this Erza...Be proud... you're strong" that was the last thing she heard before loosing consciousness.
