Reginald was actually tasked from beginning to keep Olivia safe. But from what danger? Was fate actually playing a role in bringing these two people with different stories and mysteries together? **** EXCERPT "It means you're not remorseful." Her mind started to work in strange angles as a smirk graced her face. "Olivia..." Reginald spoke in a tired voice. This was not what he wanted from the beginning. He wanted them to solve things and now they were heading back to square one. "Don't mention my name in that manner." She slammed her eyes shut for a second before opening them. This was because she started to feel confused. "Olivia!" Reginald called out again, this time with great force that said he wanted her to focus on what they were talking about. "Please don't —" "Tell me what I did." "You're in love with another woman! I caught you hugging her in that room, Reginald!"

What do you know?

Some weeks later.

Olivia was pushed out of the dungeon by the knights. She chuckled as they wordlessly dragged her toward the direction of the cathedral.

No one cared if she had a bath or not. They just didn't look twice to see if they were handling royalty.

The large doors to the cathedral opened slowly as a familiar piece of music breezed into her ears. What welcomed her sight was the crowd in the hall, while a woman clad in a white wedding gown marched toward a dashing man in a dark attire.

His hair was well arranged in a half updo, his eyes boring straight into hers. This made Olivia tense up as she watched Madeline inch closer to the altar.

Though her expression was unfathomable, her insides were like a broken damn. She felt suffocated watching this scene. A sharp pain in her heart made her feel as though it was stabbed and grilled in the most vicious way.
