Three days prior to her wedding, Olivia finds her betrothed in the company of her step-cousin. Driven by the pain of abandonment since childhood, she comes to a conclusion that she is only used to get the throne. Ruled by this misunderstanding in their marriage, Olivia gives her husband the cold shoulder while living with the scars she gained from her adversaries. However, the Princess starts to feel loved again as Reginald succeeds in melting his way into her heart. But would her rivals let this happiness last? On the outside, he is known as the son of a General. But no one knows the mystery that surrounds him and the entanglement with the Princess. Reginald was actually tasked from beginning to keep Olivia safe. But from what danger? Was fate actually playing a role in bringing these two people with different stories and mysteries together? **** EXCERPT "It means you're not remorseful." Her mind started to work in strange angles as a smirk graced her face. "Olivia..." Reginald spoke in a tired voice. This was not what he wanted from the beginning. He wanted them to solve things and now they were heading back to square one. "Don't mention my name in that manner." She slammed her eyes shut for a second before opening them. This was because she started to feel confused. "Olivia!" Reginald called out again, this time with great force that said he wanted her to focus on what they were talking about. "Please don't —" "Tell me what I did." "You're in love with another woman! I caught you hugging her in that room, Reginald!"

Trapped

"It seems like you spent a good time here in the mansion." Zain spoke with a smile, while he raised his two brows. He felt his facial muscles twitching because he forced himself to wear a smile.

Benjamin on his part got drawn back to reality after he heard the cheery voice of the red-haired man. He raised his inquiring topaz eyes to meet with Zain's green eyes and he raised a brow.

"Uh... I am Zain. The Princess's in-law." He bowed while clenching his fist some meters away from his chest.

Benjamin's brows creased the more he was trying to figure the whole situation. How did he get here? Was there something that happened? Wait... he could only remember walking down the hallways behind the Princess. Surely, it didn't end in that manner.

"Oh... Nice to meet you, Zain..." Benjamin spoke, hesitance and pure confusion in his baritone voice. For some reasons, his eyes darted to Sylvester's direction. He averted them quickly because the silver-haired was not giving him a friendly look.
