Misunderstanding my sweet husband

Three days prior to her wedding, Olivia finds her betrothed in the company of her step-cousin. Driven by the pain of abandonment since childhood, she comes to a conclusion that she is only used to get the throne. Ruled by this misunderstanding in their marriage, Olivia gives her husband the cold shoulder while living with the scars she gained from her adversaries. However, the Princess starts to feel loved again as Reginald succeeds in melting his way into her heart. But would her rivals let this happiness last? On the outside, he is known as the son of a General. But no one knows the mystery that surrounds him and the entanglement with the Princess. Reginald was actually tasked from beginning to keep Olivia safe. But from what danger? Was fate actually playing a role in bringing these two people with different stories and mysteries together? **** EXCERPT "It means you're not remorseful." Her mind started to work in strange angles as a smirk graced her face. "Olivia..." Reginald spoke in a tired voice. This was not what he wanted from the beginning. He wanted them to solve things and now they were heading back to square one. "Don't mention my name in that manner." She slammed her eyes shut for a second before opening them. This was because she started to feel confused. "Olivia!" Reginald called out again, this time with great force that said he wanted her to focus on what they were talking about. "Please don't —" "Tell me what I did." "You're in love with another woman! I caught you hugging her in that room, Reginald!"

[Bonus chapter II]

Raymond had a smirk carved on his handsome, annoying face as he watched her expression turn to that of horror. He wanted to bask in the moment because this was when he made her feel so little of herself due to that costly mistake.

"Lies! You are speaking lies!" She pointed at him, her expression changing from horror to anger.

"Oh really?" He lifted both brows and wiggled them playfully as he watched her. Raymond chuckled soundlessly and threw his head around. He looked at her with an empathy filled with pretense.

"Why don't you seek him yourself and question him?" He threw that suggestion as he watched her look so helpless.

"This is all your fault!" She screamed, her voice tearing the four walls of the study. Madeline shuddered as she stared at him. Tears were about to stream out of her beautiful eyes.

"My fault? I don't remember having a hand in all these." He responded, this time looking innocent of the blame she was throwing at him.
