Her Bargain

Nerissa raised a brow, the corner of her lips rose slightly, evilly. It was like there was something in her mind that she chose not to say. I can't figure out what it is, but I have a feeling that it concerns me in a way.

"If that is the case, then my apologies if my assumption was wrong," Nerissa spoke so calmly as though she wasn't talking to the people who has plans to kill her. Or maybe she is very confident that we won't be able to harm her in any way? I'm afraid that our plan might not work, but we will never know unless we try it, right? Plus the fact that if we don't try this, we have no other option to consider. It's either we will be killed by Nerissa herself or we will be killed by her ugly monsters like those two-headed tigers and blazing snakes.
