He is such a lazy bone

"Haa... Why don't you both get it? I ask again, where is Mia? I need my manager now." Mira said banging on the table hard.

"Ma'am, she texted me saying she doesn't wanna work for you anymore." The chief operating officer said.

"Just like that? Just like that? You know what? Just call her and tell her to come right now. Tell her that I said she should come right now!" Mira half yelled.

The COO dialed Mia's number but wasn't reachable.

"Keep trying, keep trying," Mira yelled already feeling agitated.

"Ma'am, have tried once again but she just isn't picking up her calls."

"Ok then. It's fine. All I want right now is a new manager." Mira said rumbling her hands together.

"Ma'am there's a lady willing to work I mean is willing to take that position."

"Oh! So now you have suddenly found someone to work as my manager."

"No ma'am. She coincidentally came today in search of a job. I was the one that fixed the appointment for her to come today and now that she is here I think we should appoint her as your new manager."

"Just like that? I can't believe this. Where would she even start? Does she even understand the rules and terms?" Mira asked.

"Ma'am, trust me she is qualified and she has three years of experience and also you would like her... You would love her."

"You think so..... Do you think I would like her? Well if you think so, bring her in here." Mira said and the COO was about to leave but she stopped him.

"Am only letting you bring her in here because of what you've said and also assured me. Do not let me down." Mira said and waved her hand signifying him to leave.

SHORTLY AFTER

A lady came in with the COO holding a file in her hand.

"Good morning maa." The Lady greeted.

"Good morning...Decently dressed. Hmm... I love that." Mira complimented.

"I told you right? I told you that you were going to like her."

"Have you explained everything to her?" Mira asked.

"Yes, ma'am I have and she understands."

"Well, there is only one way to find out," Mira said and dismissed the COO.

Are the files from AAJ with you? Mira asked.

"Yes ma'am. The files are with me."

"Well... What is your name?"

"My name is Amber. Amber coke."

"Oh! You look familiar. If you weren't putting on shades and have a mole then I would have thought you were Sebastian's wife." Mira said.

"Ma'am... It's not bad if you want me to marry Sebastian."

They both laughed and Mira stood up.

"Well, you can take a day off today," Mira said.

"Ma'am, a day off? But I just resumed. I hope you are not sacking me."

"No.. No..no. Am not. I am just so happy today that I wanna give everyone a day off but if I give everyone a day off then how would I make money and grow my business." Well am giving you a day off to get prepared and I want you to prepare a presentation for me tomorrow. I wanna know your capability. Mira said to her.

"Ok, ma. I promise I won't disappoint you."

Alex came out of the kitchen holding two cups.

"Alexander!!" Biggie half yelled looking startled. What the hell are you doing in the kitchen?

"You must be blind. Did you see me holding a coffee and a tea?"

"Yes, I did but am just surprised that with all the chefs you employed in this house, you still decided to make s coffee and tea by yourself. You surprise me. However, since you gave made it I know it must be delicious. You make really tasty coffee and tea. But why are you with two cups? You only drink coffee right? So why then are you holding a cup of tea?" Biggie asked

"It's none of your business," I said to Biggie.

"Whatever give me a cup please," Biggie said reaching out for one of the cups.

"No... No... No Biggie. Go to the kitchen to make yours." Alex said to Biggie but he still kept dragging the cup of tea from Alex.

"Ha..... No Biggie that's mine. If you have my tea then what will I drink?" Nana said from the staircase and ran to where Biggie and Alex were, collected the cup of tea from him, and drank it all. Biggie looked shocked as the tea was floating in the air.

"What's... What's... What's this." He stammered. I think am seeing things. Alex, can you see the cup in the air? Biggie asked.

"What cup? The cups on the floor not floating in the air."

"Haa!!!" Biggie yelled cleaning his eyes. And when he finally removed his hand from his eyes he saw the cup on the floor.

"Oh! I thought I saw it floating." Biggie said as he saw Alex shooting daggers at him.

"I could swear that I saw this cup float. It was floating. Ok, where is the tea in it? If it poured then it would be on the floor but nothing spilled."

"You drank it," I said to him.

"What!!" Did I drink it? When did I?

"You did just now."

"No, I didn't. Are you lying? This is a prank you are playing on me right?" Biggie asked.

"No you drank it and why should I play pranks on you when you drank it? Biggie, are you alright? Did you sleep well? I think you should take a day off, so I give you a day off but if you say you are alright then you can resume back."

"No Alex am not alright. I think I need a day off to be alright." Biggie said. You know what? I think I'll go back to my room. Goodnight... Oh! I mean good morning.

"Morning... I replied Biggie."

"He is such a lazy bone," Nana said and the both of them raised their hand for a hand-five and smiled at each other.

I raised the cup to drink my coffee but stopped when I saw a figure staring at me.
