First step

After his work for the day, Ren left the castle like structure and headed towards the outskirts of Jericho. He knew that if he wanted Mia to be unaware of what he was doing, having secret discussions would be way better outside.

Ren walked into the forest which was dark at the moment. It was night time and the absence of the full moon only made it darker. Upon reaching a certain area in the forest, Ren came to a stop before speaking out loud.

"I have a job for you, Nightmare."

At first glance it would seem as if he had lost all of his sense of reasoning, however that would all change when one noticed the figure emerging from the shadows. The place was dark but Ren could make out the person's features because of his ability to see in the dark. It was a lady who had covered her eyes and mouth with some bandages. Her unnatural dark hair spread all through her body stopping below her waist. The color of her hair was so dark that it blended with the shadows easily. On her body different blades could be seen strapped to her waist, wrists and even ankles. Though these were the weapons that were visible to Ren, he knew there was always more when it came to her. Knowing that she was a woman of little words he went straight to the point.

"Some years ago I saved you from a High Fracture that went on a rampage. It is time you pay back your depth to me."

Understanding the situation, she nodded her head giving her approval.

"I am having some issues with some people within the Garden. Serena along with two other men, one named Dante and the other Eric. I want you to go find them and do what you do best. I hear your skills are exceptional, do not disappoint me", Ren turned around heading back to Jericho.

The moment Ren had disappeared from her sights, she merged with the shadows vanishing out of sight.

It was morning time now and Dante was currently outside taking in the fresh morning air along with the beautiful scenery the forest had to offer. He was proud of the houses he had made, however from time to time it was best to come out for a bit. Staring at his phone, Dante had a surge of past memories in his head. This was the phone that Serena had used to save his life. Looking at it now, Dante realized that it was not functional. Somethings inside the device had gone bad a long time ago because it had stayed too long without been used. This caused him to wonder how Serena had made contact with him in the first place, heck if it still functioned it's battery would have been done by then. After pondering the question in his mind, he finally came to the conclusion that she must have done this with Nano Lites. Her versatility with Nano Lites never ceased to amaze him.

Dante could fix the phone now by simply dismantling and recreating it, though he felt like it would be a waste of points. In this new world everyone had gone back to their old ways due to a lack of electricity. Sure people with electric powers could do something, however he did not believe they could power a whole city. Having a phone at the moment would hardly do him any good.

"Is that the same phone I used to save you that time?", Serena walked up to him out of the blue.

"But of course."

"Why do you still have that?", Serena asked.

"Well i thought it might come in handy", Dante smirked at her.

In an instant, the phone in his hands broke into particles before Dante threw a Nano crystal in the mix. Red sparks of energy began to engulf his hand before it finally turned into something Serena did not expect.

"Here, you should use this. It will work better than the one you have", Dante handed to over a gun to her.

This gun looked way different than the one she was in possession of. Sure it was a pistol, however it had some empty spots in which blue energy flowed along.

"It is a Ripple pistol. It shoots out pure Nano Lites making it easier for you to manipulate. It's bullets have more power than the ordinary bullets you use and as an extra bonus you don't have to reload. You can also increase the power of it's shots by infusing Nano Lites into them like you normally do. Luckily it only took 40 Nano Lites to create", Dante explained with a strange glint in his eyes.

"Thanks. I don't know what else to say", Serena scratched her head as if she was confused.

"Don't sweat it. Besides I have that weird memory of you in my head as payment."

"What weird memory?", Serena asked truly intrigued by what he had to say.

"That time you asked me if I wanted to live. That was hilarious", Dante laughed hard causing Serena to blush full of embarrassment.

Before she could say anything though, Eric emerged from his room stretching out as he had just woken up from his sleep. Dante could feel the change in Serena's mood as her gaze fell on him, though unlike last time she turned around and walked away.

'Still doesn't trust him, huh', Dante thought to himself.

Eric had finished stretching out so he decided to walk up to Dante and ask him how his day was going. After exchanging pleasantries for awhile, Dante jumped to the chase.

"Eric do you have an ability?"

"Uhhh, yeah. I have the ability to mess with the temperature of things around me. If I focus really hard I can change the temperature of something a meter away as well."

"Well guess what we will be doing today?", Dante asked the obvious.

"From the question you asked me, I think we are going to check out my abilities before working on them", Eric spoke almost as if he was guessing.

"Well you catch up quick, though we can't do that here. So prepare yourself, we are going for a walk."
