School life

She asked Ann a lot of questions and she was more than happy to reply them all.

To be honest, Ann reminded her of Li.

She and Li talked yesterday night and she freely told her that she was nervous about today.

Li was surprised and amazed as she realized that Tamim had changed a lot. She never talked about her feelings freely and Li was happy for the change.

Hearing Ann rant, she smiled subconsciously but then Ann suddenly stopped.

"What's wrong?" She asked curiously.

"Your smile..." Ann said, "it's beautiful"

"Oh that.." she was speechless. She had never heard anyone compliment her freely except adults obviously.

This girl ... there's something about her she liked so much.

The bell was rung and it was time for class.

Tamim pulled her books out to start preparing, she asked Ann to lend her some of her notes and they eventually agreed that Tamim will drop by at Ann's house to pick the rest of them.

The teacher walks in and the class greeted.

"Good morning Miss Mai"

"Good morning class" miss Mai said. "Today we will be looking through Indices and..." The teacher suddenly stopped as Tamim realized she was looking at her.

Unsure of what to do, Tamim stood still.

"Hm, we have a new student I see... would you care to introduce yourself?"

"Oh right. Good morning everyone .....and miss Mai. My name is Yoon Tamim and I'm from South Korea"

Thinking that was all she sat down only to find the whole class still staring at her including miss Mai.

"Mm...oh.. I'm nice and I love dogs"

The whole class chuckled and Ann too.

She wondered if she did something wrong.

With a smile, the teacher said "it's a class tradition to stare at new students and try to intimidate them after introduction. Looks like it doesn't work for everyone, I guess. Miss Yoon you're welcome to my class, I'm your mathematics teacher"

"Thank you ma" She said cuely.

The class went really well and the rest of the 4 classes. It was break time and as Ann and Tam walked to the cafeteria eyes were on them.

"Why are they staring so hard?" She said with a chocolate bar in her mouth.

"Well you're very pretty infact gorgeous and also the principal welcomed you herself so they're wondering who you are" Ann said with her mouth partially stuffed.

"Hm...well nothing to see here. Just a random rich girl"

"Yeah, googled your name and your face is literally almost everywhere in south Korea. I saw your family's networth too. You're richer than the majority of this school ma'am" Ann said smiling.

They were now in the cafeteria collecting their lunch.

As they walked towards an empty space.

"Ah I don't see Tasha anywhere, she wasn't in class either. Is she okay?"

"Wow you remember her, I'm pleased"

"Stoppp. Where is she?"

"Oh the classes are divided to three, The school wants everyone to be comfortable and doesn't want a packed class so it's divided to three each. So she's in 12th grade B"

"Oh no wonder. I felt we were a little small but I shrugged it off thinking it was because this school is expensive"

"Yeah yeah I quite agree"

They said amidst smiles until some girls screamed and entered the cafeteria.

"Jim is playing after break!!!"

And that was all it took for all the girls to go crazy and a stampede started immediately.
