THURSDAY,SEPTEMBER 25TH

It was lunch time, everyone was in the cafeteria. They were on time and as usual I was late. People even gave me the nickname cafeteria inspector because I was always late. Some also called me habitual later comer. When I walked inside the cafeteria, I tripped and feel on a banana peel.

" Hey! everyone look, miss cafeteria inspector fell down" Felix said laughing.

My eyes filled up immediately after he said those words so I got up and run out of the cafeteria. To my surprise Ethan was following me. What does he even want from me.

"Alex, hey... Alex wait up?" Ethan said behind me.

"yeah? what do you want?" I asked trying not to cry

" I saw how Felix treated you, I'm so sorry for that."

"Why are you apologizing."

"Because.. he's my cousin, unfortunately"

"OH! I said in shock " no worries Ethan"

" So we're cool?"

"Yep" I responded with a smile

"Okay, so mind if we hangout sometime?"

Without thinking I said yes

"okay.. let's meet up this Saturday at the park.. 3pm" he said to me.

"sure" I said puzzled

I couldn't stop thinking what Ethan said. I was absent minded in class. Everyone noticed that including my teachers. After classes, Rihanna walked up to me and asked;

"What's up with you young lady? That's unlike you."

"yeah man!" Josh added "what's up?"

"EEEETTTTTHHHHHHHAAAANNNNN" that was the only word that came out of my mouth.

"Oooohhh! someone's going crazy about a super cute guy" Rihanna teased

" No...he asked me out and I.."

"OMG!!! He asked you out?" Rihanna interrupted

"I'm sure Lexa said no" Josh said

"NO...I actually said yes"

"You said yes?" they both asked surprised

"Yeah, without thinking"

"WITHOUT THINKING!!!" They both exclaimed

"Yep, without thinking" I said bowing my head.

"No problem!" Rihanna said " So what are you going to wear?"

"ugh... I don't care about this thing" Josh said acting bored

"ooohh!! someone's jealous" Rihanna teased

"oh no! I ain't jealous" Josh defended

" oh c'mon Josh, everyone knows you're crushing on Alexa" Rihanna went on

It was awkward though. I never knew that. It became more awkward when Josh left without a word leaving me with the thought that it could be true.

I hit Rih on the shoulder "what did you mean by what you said?"

" oh please, everyone knows he likes you"

"But I never knew"

" well, you know that now" she said rolling her eyes

"It was very awkward for you to say that though."

"ugh.. who cares baby girl. Everyone knows you see him as a brother, even he knows that so forget him. I'm sure he'll find someone else. Do you want his feelings to affect our friendship when you guys break up after dating?"

"No I don't"

"Good girl" she said with a smile "Now! let's look for something for you to wear on your date"

"yes, unfortunately" I sighed
