The Contract
“What is this?” he asks, glancing at the papers in his hands at Athena. Unfazed, she tells him to read the document first and then to raise his question. His eyes waver, reading each line that is written on the contract.
Cynthia has no idea what is written on that contract and she feels uneasy because it is the first time Athena didn’t inform her first. It makes her mad that this is all due to him.
Vincent lets out a sigh after he is done going through the document. “So? Have you made your decision?” she asks with a straight face.
Vincent smirks and nods his head. “I agree.” This is not what Athena thought. Stunned, she almost does not believe that he agree to sign the slave contract. She has planned that this contract will scare him away and she will finally get rid of him, however, this doesn’t look like the case.
“What?”
“I am willing to do whatever it takes.”
