The moment I saw you
The older girl raises her chin, eyeing the fog slowly descending. There is a fine scent in the air, almost intoxicating. It's a good thing that they have taken the antidote before entering this part of the forest that extends to the entire north.
She looks at the clouds covering what used to be their home. None of them can find their way back home through the mazes inside the clouds. Many have died, fell to the ground and lost their lives. Then, the bodies were picked by the amused witches who would use it for their sinister rituals.
How many of them are left? Araiya sighs. How long do they have to stay in their human forms? Since they have lost Tiguaq, the witches can easily find them if they take their original forms and take flight in the skies. Now, all of them have to stay in the human form -- to hide from the eyes of the witches and the hunters.
