Chapter 1

"Jeez, I hope this goes better than last year", I sighed to myself.

"Wow did you hear? The soccer team is getting new players this year!" a boy shouted in what I thought was a far distance. The next thing I knew is that there was a soccer ball colliding with my face.

"Oh my God, I'm so sorry!" the boy who was talking earlier ran up to me and extended his hand.

I reached for his outstretched hand, "It's fine". I responded as his hand gripped mine, pulling me up.

"Hey I didn't see you last year, are you new?" he questioned.

"Yea I am new, I'm starting my senior year here...uhm" I paused, looking at him in confusion while dusting off my clothes.

"The name is Eddie." he stretched out his hand again this time for a handshake.

"Mk Eddie. My name is Amai, I'm new to the school." I replied while shaking his hand.

"Well Amai, I'm a junior here. I'm on the Myotis soccer team. But enough with the introduction. I assume you don't know your way around here, there are about 30 minutes before school starts. I can make up for accidentally kicking the soccer into you by showing you around." He offered in a slightly awkward tone.

"Well that'd be nice" I replied while scratching the back of my neck. I displayed an awkward smile and we started the tour.

We finished the tour with 2 minutes spare before the first class. So far this new school wasn't so bad, the campus was really nice. The first friend I made was Eddie, the short-haired ginger, with green eyes that shined like emeralds, skinny but not flimsy body. The very noticeable warm and soft smile. I took the time to analyze the features I admired during our little tour in my head. He was quite nice and friendly. My thoughts were interrupted by the school bell.

"Oh shit" I mumbled. It was only the first day and I was already late to class. Not only that, he didn't really show me where each class was.

After 3 minutes I finally found my class. I took a deep breath and opened the door. The teacher gave me a glare when I walked in.

"You must be the new student here." The teacher said. "What took you so long?" The teacher asked.

"I got a tour of the school, but I didn't exactly get shown where my classes were" I explained.

The teacher sighed and gave a faint smile. "It's all good sweetheart, I'm not like all those strict teachers." She paused, "But I still need to give you detention during lunch, sorry". The teacher switched to a formal-ish tone. "Your seat is the empty desk in the back." The teacher pointed to the seat next to the window. I took a deep breath and sat down.

I eventually finished that class and blew through until my 5th period, lunch. My teacher had instructed me to go to detention first, and she'd release me 20 minutes before the bell to eat. As instructed I made my way through the halls to the classroom detention was being held. The halls were mostly empty, except for one male student I noticed walking pass me. He was fairly attractive. He had raven black hair, a defined jawline, perfect pearly teeth, a bit muscular from what I could tell from his arms, and just slightly pale. He had noticed me looking at him, when he turned to look at my I turned and sped away.

After walking towards the next corner, I run into an asshole. He tried doing the wall slam thingy you see in shojo mangas, but I moved under and away. Then I hit the arms that were supporting him, he hit his head onto the wall. I laughed pretty damn hard then made my way up the stairs, to detention.

After I served my time for detention I left for the snack bar at the cafeteria. I looked down at my phone. "Shit, there's 20 minutes till lunch ends, but Eddie told me the snack bar closes in 10 minutes." I angrily mumbled. I ran down the hallways. I ran and ran until I accidentally bumped into someone. Unfortunately for me, I fell and hit my head first. It hurt like needles slowly piercing into my scalp, it turned a bit numb after a few seconds. My vision was a bit blurred, and a headache started to grow. I looked at the person I bumped into. What a coincidence, it was the attractive guy I was staring at earlier.

"Hey, you ok?" He asked, it wasn't sorry or sympathetic, he was saying it like it didn't really matter. As if he didn't give a single care.

I groaned, I tried to lift my head but the headache wasn't letting up. I eventually passed out due to the pain.

The next thing I knew I woke up in an unfamiliar room, but I was laying on a comfy bed, so I wasn't gonna complain.

"Oh you're up!" The pretty woman exclamation. She had blonde and pink ombré hair, nicely-shaped lips, and your typical 'Skinny model' body. She was dressed in a classic nurse outfit. What stood out to me was her ocean blue eyes, they were really memorizing. After taking a few looks around the room it was clear I was in the infirmary.

"How are you feeling?" She asked as she placed her hand on my forehead, most likely checking if I had a fever.

"I'm feeling ok, my head doesn't hurt that bad anymore," I responded.

"Well, that's good." She got up. By the time she got up, the door opened. It was then again, the attractive dude from earlier.

"Hey Ms.Choi, is she awake?" The boy asked.

"Yes Samuel, now go apologize!" She exclaimed, semi-angry. He made his way towards me.

"My name is Samuel, I'm sorry I bumped into you." This time, he sounded genuinely sorry.

"It's fine." I responded accepting the apology. Not even a minute later the bell that indicated that there were about 5 minutes til lunch ended rang.

"Well, I gotta go. I want to get prepared before 6th period. I'll cya around." He waved and left the room.
