AN OLD FRIEND
The car glided silently along the road, the only sounds punctuating the tranquil journey being the gentle hum of the engine and the soft crunch of the tyres against the asphalt. As the vehicle made its way through the countryside, the warm hues of the setting sun painted the landscape in a mesmerising display.
The sky was ablaze with a tapestry of fiery oranges and deep reds, the final rays of the sun cast a golden glow that seemed to reach out and touch everything in its paths. Wispy clouds, tinged with the same vibrant colours, drifted lazily overhead, casting fleeting shadows that danced across the rolling hills and fields.
