##Chapter 13 The Highest Honor to Marry Him

Sharon stood there timidly, not knowing what to do or what to think. To Nathan, she felt like a bunny.

"Come here. What were you thinking?"

As she stepped closer, she started to blush. She sat down breathing heavily, not daring to look at the man at all.

"What? You're blushing like crazy."

Under the dim lights, Sharon looked even more adorable.

She then hurriedly covered herself with a blanket without saying a word. Her palms started to sweat.

"Aren't you hot? At least get your head out,"

as he spoke, he reached out to pull the blanket down a little. Yet Sharon started out in fear, "What do you want? Stay away!"

That startled Nathan. He froze there for a second.

"Alright, alright. Do it yourself, then. I was worried that you'd overheat yourself."

"Whatever. It's none of your business anyways,"

she retorted nervously from underneath the blanket.

Nathan sat aside and cleared his throat, "Now, let's make this clear. You're already my wife, so it is my business. Do you want me to do this for you, or are you doing it yourself?"

Sharon froze for a few seconds and poked her head from underneath the blanket, looking at Nathan with scare.

Nathan, on the other hand, watched her with infinite love and care. He smiled at her,

"Now, that's better. You can get more fresh air like this, you know? You'll have nightmares if you keep your head down like that."

As he said that, he lay down next to her and closed his eyes.

The moon shone on his face, making him look particularly pretty. She felt as if staring at a fashionable young man from a renaissance painting.

As Sharon found herself smiling, she consciously calmed herself down. "Did I just start appreciating him? What was I thinking?" she thought. Judging from his quiet look, he wouldn't do much for the night. That relieved Sharon, and she finally decided to shut her eyes as well.

"That was weird. How is there no news at all? Sharon sure has got some great luck,"

Joyce sat there thinking to herself. She was trying to ruin her reputation, destroy her, and kill her for good. Little did she expect Sharon could make it alive and well.

"Did the old man decide to give her a hand? It couldn't be. It was him who figured out this whole plan."

Staring at her empty bedroom, Joyce yanked her pillow and smashed it on the ground. It was yet another night without Marvin, and she was on the brink of going mental.

Finally, dawn came. The sun came back again, shining into the bedroom of that villa.

Sharon woke up from a good night's sleep. As she yawned and looked up at the ceiling, she suddenly remembered what was happening the day before.

Yet as she looked beside her, she couldn't find Nathan anymore.

She then got herself cleaned up and headed to the dining room.

There was iced milk and a plateful of steamy sunny-side-ups and fresh Nutella toasts. As she enjoyed the breakfast Nathan left for her, she started to smile. Life might suck, but the sun would always come back around every day.

"How do I look today, mom?"

Reneta Kept scanning herself up and down through the mirror. Heavy makeup, tight skirt, perfect curls... Everything was planned out to make her look stunning.

"Is this what you planned out? So you wish to leave him a good impression as well,"

Joyce looked at her daughter with much pride.

Renata got up and had that speech smile ready. That was but part of the basics of acting like an angel.

"Well, I bet it won't be just me. Everyone going there will try the same. Do you know how much he's worth? He's already achieved so much while he's so young. It would be anyone's highest honor to marry him."

"Hope your wishes do come true."

The two looked at each other. Renata's eyes shined with a different light, and it made her weirdly scary.

The top of the business world would all be there at today's conference. Nathan, the legend, would be the chair. Many were waiting to take a good look at him.

Renata tried her best looking slay, but everyone there was something. As a result, she was but yet another audience.

"I've heard he's quite handsome. He's a genius, a fine man, and a millionaire."

"Is that news to you? Haven't you seen all these beauties lining up over here?"

"Well. Let the game begin, then."

Hearing their chatter, Renata couldn't help but keep judging her own outfit. She sure was pretty, but she was nothing stunning. She couldn't rely on her beauty alone, then.

"Here he comes!"

As someone shouted, a sturdy young man paced forward swiftly. His figure and temperament were out of this world. Compared to all those behind him, he felt like the impeccable definition of handsomeness.

"So what's he like?"

Renata kept staring at him to see whether he was handsome as told.

As Nathan got closer, he suddenly halted in front of Renata. She only shared the same father as Sharon, but he could already see that they looked somewhat alike.

As their eyes met, Renata froze. She had never seen such a fine man before. Everything about him seemed dreamy and perfect. It felt as if he had the power to have the whole world smiling at him.

After a quick look at her, he moved on and wondered where he had seen this lady before.

Yet all he could think of was that woman that tried to bully Sharon at Kinel Plaza...

With all that coming back to him, Nathan suddenly frowned but then immediately calmed himself down.

"Did he just look at me? He was looking at me."

Renata was rather pleased with herself and started to smile. Yet for a moment, she remembered seeing that expression somewhere.

"It is a pleasure to have all of you here at this conference. Every single one of us has his distinguished and irreplaceable achievement, but we've got someone even more special today."

With a round of applause, Nathan had the stage.

"Glad to have this speech here for you all. I've just been back and have been trying my best to schedule..."

Nathan then looked at Renata.

Renata then calmed down immediately. This guy just came back from abroad. She couldn't have met him at the mall the other day. There were a lot of people with similar faces, after all.

"So it was her, the one that framed Sharon. She was an Evans,"

he thought. Nathan then came up with a plan.
