The Ladybug Earrings

As the bell rang, Marinette and I grab our things to head to the library. As we were walking down the stairs, I asked Marinette if we could invite Alya to come with us as she is also new.

"Uh-sure!" was her reply.

I made my way to Alya's seat and extended my hand towards her, "Hello, your new here right?"

She nodded and shook my hand, "My name's Alya."

"I'm Yin and this is Marinette." Marinette waved her hand shyly at her.

"Since you and Yin are new, what don't I guide you two to the library?" Offered Marinette.

On our way to the library, Alya introduced herself and talked about her family and annoying it is to have so many sisters and how lucky we were to be only childs and I very much agreed with her. I had siblings in the real world and they could probably win the award for most annoying person on earth. Speaking of the real world, I wonder how my family reacted to my death...

"Well I disagree, I think that it would be wonderful to have siblings!"

I shook my head at Marinette, "Your only saying that because you haven't suffered yet."

"Aren't you an only child too Yin? How would you know?"

"W-well, I have the most annoying cousins and my aunt often leaves them with my mother and I to babysit," I lied.

"At least you understand my pain!" said Alya dramatically. Laughing, we entered the library and were glared at by the librarian.

"Thanks a lot, Alya," I playfully glared at her.

"You laughed, not me!" She's got a point.

It had already been a few minutes sine we've entered the library and I suspect that Ivan had already been akumatised  around this time-

I heard the scream of civilians outside the library. Marinette, Alya and I rushed toward the screens displaying the CCTV's view. Ivan- or rather Stoneheart was wrecking havoc in the city.

"Is that...Ivan's voice?" exclaimed Mariette.

"It's almost like he's been turned into a real life supervillain! Ok..GPS check, battery check, I am SO outta here!"

"Wait what are you doing?" I asked Alya, even thought I already knew.

"If there's a supervillian, there's always a superhero nearby! No way am I missing it!"

"Wait, Alya-" But she was already gone.

"She's going to get hurt out there!"

"Yes," I said slowly, "but she's already made up her mind! And if we follow her we may get hurt too!"

"Your right...Well let's go!"

"Go? Go where?"

"We're going to take shelter at my house, it's right across the street, we'll be able to get there safely!" 

"Okay..." Wait, but this means I'm going to see her transform! This could be good, after all, having a secret between friends could help our friendship become stronger! Or maybe Master Fu won't let Marinette be Ladybug since I know her identity...but to late to turn back now, we're already at her house!

After getting introduced to Tom and Sabine, Marinette and I went up to her room. And may I say, I was incredible! Although it was smaller than mine the balcony on the top still beat everything.

"Ugh, I hate first days back at school," groaned Marinette

"Same...Hey Marinate, that's a cool looking box you have there," I said pointing to the miraculous box.

"Huh, what is this doing here?" she asked, opening the box.

A pair of Ladybug themed earrings were seen in the box and a second later a bright glowing orb came out, scaring Marinette and causing her to drop the box.

A creature the size of a pen holder was reveled after the orb's glow faded away.

"AHH!" Marinette shouted, "Help, it's giant bug! A-a mouse! A giant bug-mouse!" 

"Don't be scared Marinette-"

"AH, bug-mouse talks!" She started to throw her belongings at Tikki and unfortunately, I was hit by one of them.

"Ow!"

Tikki and Marinette turned to me.

"Sorry, Yin," said Marinette sheepishly. 

"What are you doing here-"

Tikki was cut off by Marinette trapping her in a drinking glass.

"Okay," sighed Tikki, "If that makes you feel safer-"

 Tikki was once again cut off by Marinette asking, "What are you? And how do you know my name?"

"I'm a kwami," Tikki explained, "And my names Tikki. Now please let my explain."

"Uh," Marinette said, her eyes looking towards the hatch.

"Woah, there," I said interrupting them, "Marinette won't you listen to what she- Tikki has to say?"

"Um..." Marinette looked at Tikki hesitantly, "Okay..." She said slowly.

"Marinette, you were chosen by the Great Guardian to protect Paris, your the only one who can stop stone heart!"

"What, this must be some mistake? The only power I could possibly have is super awkwardness! Oh, Alya would know! She loves superheroes, or maybe Yin," she said pointing at me, "You stood up to Chloe today."

"Marinette!" I called, "Didn't you hear what Tikki said? You are the chosen one, not me or Alya. You were chosen to protect Paris! Have some confidence in yourself!"

"Your friend is right Marinette! Now, put on your earrings and I'll tell you what to do"

"Okay," said Marinette, putting on her earrings. "So all I have to do is break the object where the whatchamacallit is hiding?"

"It's called an akuma," I corrected her. "Right?" Tikki nodded.

"And after that, you must capture it."

"Um, and what's that charm thing again?"

"It's called a  Lucky Charm, it's your secret super power! And after that, you need to throw the object in the air and say, 'Miraculous Ladybug' to fix the damage of the akuma attack, okay?" Asked Tikki.

"Ugh, I don't know guys, this is all going too fast! I-I don't think I can pull this off!" Said Marinette, completely stressed out.

"Trust yourself, Marinette!" I encouraged.

"You can do it Marinette, now say spots on!" Added Tikki.

"Spots on?"

Suddenly a flurry of ladybugs surrounded Marinette and, Ta-Da she became Ladybug.  

"Um, how does this come off?" Asked Marinette, poking at her suit. "Tikki if you can hear me I want my normal clothes back! Yin did you see where Tikki went?"

"Well, if my eyes are working properly, I think she was sucked into your suit.." Although this common knowledge for a viewer, it was Marinette's first time using the ladybug miraculous.

"Oh...Uh Tikki?" She said looking down at her suit, "If you can hear me-"

She was cut off by Nadia on the screen reporting about Stoneheart.

"The monster seems to be unstoppable-"

"Wait, is that Alya?" I asked pointing to the screen.

"Oh no, we have to go save her!"

"No, YOU have to go save her! Your now a superheroine Marinette!"

"B-but I don't know how to..."

"You can start by trying to locate where Stoneheart it heading to," I suggested.

"Okay, Nadia just said that he was heading towards the Mon carnet tower...so I'll go there!"

"You're off to a good start!" I gave her a smile.

We climbed onto her balcony and Marinette- or should I say Ladybug tested out her yoyo.

"So, how do I work with this?"

I took her yoyo and threw it forwards, "I think you can get around like this."

She took the other side of the yoyo and pulled, "Like this-?"

She didn't get to finish her question because the yoyo had pulled her across the city. That wouldn't have been a problem, since it was supposed to happen. But the thing is I was still holding onto her yoyo.
