"Mommy! Mommy!"

You giggled as you attempted to jump up the stairs. Yoyr mother watched as you slightly fell. "(Y/n), don't try to be like Mommy."

You pouted. "But I want to save Paris one day!" She sighed and walked over to you.

She picked you up and cradled you. "(Y/n), what Mommy does is for experts. I'm afraid you have a few years before you'll inherit my powers." She smiled and you daw your father walk down the stairs.

He hugged the two of you and gave a happy chuckle. "What are my two favorite girls doing?" Your stretched your arms out and called out to him.

"Daddy!"

He smiled and grabbed you from your mother's arms. He threw you in the air and caught you. "Hey! Daddy has a surprise!"

"But yiu have to close your eyes." You shielded your eyes for a moment and giggled. "Silly Daddy!"

You opened your eyes and gasped. "Cat Nar! Cat Nar!", you shouted. He laughed.

"It's Cat (Y/n)." You laughed as he brought his staff out. You pat his fake cat ears and grabbed his blonde hair.

"Daddy hair soft!"

Your parents laughed and gave you kisses.

"But, Adrien! She's barely a child!" The screaming from the other room scared you. Your eyes coveref, you silently cried.

"But she enjoys it!" A few more shouts was all it took. You began sobbing, not realising the sound it made. You didn't like it when they fought.

You wrapped yourself in yoyr blanket and sniffed. Your phone rang but you didn't dare answer it. You turned it on silent and declined the call.

You then thought of thr safest option. You pressed away at your phone, flipping through the contacts. The yelling in the other room had come to an end.

You made one final tap to your phone and the message was sent. Your door opened and you dared to peak from under your blanket. "(Y/n), pack your things, sweetie. We're leaving."

"Marinette, girl! Let me see my niece!"

You were in the living room of youe grandparents house, watching your aunt and mother fight. You were told to stsy seated but felt compelled to stand. You stood up and walked over to them, passing your mother.

"Auntie Alya!" You hugged her and whispered an apology. She gave you a smile and mouthed, "Don't worry about it."

"(Y/n), get back in the house." You contemplated your next action, knowing you would be in trouble. "No!"

You ran behind Alya's leg. "Ugh...fine. Have a wonderful evening without me." She slammed the door and you jumped.

"I didn't mean to cause this..."

"It's ok, (Y/n). You need some girl time anyway."

"Daddy! I'm here!" You walked into the huge mansion and saw your father on the staircase.

"Hey, (Y/n). Ready to have the best week ever?" You smiled and cheered. He led you to tour room.

"Daddy? Um...when are you apologizing to Mommy?"

He stopped in his tracks. "I-" He couldn't find the right words.

"Mommy misses you. She cries every night while saying your name." He turned to you with glistening eyes. "Reall?"

You nodded your head and kept walking.

Your parents moved back with each other and were happier thsn ever. You didn't understand grown ups. They were so complicated.

"(Y/n)! Where's your father?" Your mother emerged from her room while putting her earrings on. "He went patrolling is Cat Nar."

You never broke the habit of saying his name thst way. Your mouth wouldn't let you say it the right way.

Then there wad a knock on the door. You went to open it and there was Roger, the head of police. He had his cap to his chest and was looking very nervous.

"Uh, h-hello, (Y/n)..."

You, not thinking anything was going on, smiled and greeted him back. Your nother came by with a worried look. She told you to go to your room.

You obeyed and shut the door.

"Mommy? Wh-when is Daddy coming back from patrol?" Your mother wept on the floor, as she did most nights. It's been two weeks since Roger came to say hi, and your father hasn't come back yrt.

Her sobs onlt grew and she turned to you. "(Y/n), h-hunny...promise me! Promise me that you will accept a mirac-miracu-ulous!" You furrowed your brows in confusion.

"Why?"

She paused and sniffed a few times with tears lining her cheeks. "You're too- young to- understand." She wrapped her arms around you, as if trying to comfort you when she was only comforting herself.

"Calm down! Calm down!"

The little creaturw frightened you. It'd been years since you'd seen a kwami and this one was blue. It was beautiful but startled you.

"Wh-what are you doing here? My mother doesn't like your kind!" The kwami looked confused and tried putting the pieces together. "Huh...how odd."

"Huh...anyway. I'm here to make you a superhero! We must take down Lady Luck before she akumatizes the entire city of Paris." You gasped. "B-but my mother-"

"She must not know of this."

You sighed in defeat. "Fine...what must I do?" The kwami smiled.

"Just say, Duusu, feathers spread!"
