Chapter 1 Mirabel Jones

Mirabel sat on a chair facing towards her mother. She clasped her hands together as she eyed the letter on the table between her and her mother.

"mom, what is that?" She said but her mother just stared at her like she was a stranger.

Mirabel, taking notice of her mother's strange behavior took the letter and read it after which her pupils dilated.

The letter said : Dear miss Mirabel Jones , we are hereby accepting your request to join the Emperor Zion sect tryouts. You are to arrive at the sect tryouts in 2 months.

Mirabel broke into tears as a huge smile sprouted on her lips but that smile disappeared as soon as she saw the look on her mother's face.

"Mirabel, why did you do this without my consent?" her mother said in a calm but vicious tone.

"Mother, if i had asked you would you even spare me an answer?" Mirabel replied to her mother with another question. Her mother was taken aback, what in the world had hit her daughters head for her to disrespect her mother like this?.

"You better talk to me properly before i smack your face such that all your teeth will fall out leaving you unable to respond Wich such crude words ever again!" Mirabels mother said threateningly.

Mirabels mother stood up from the table and said, with a breaking voice of a lonely mother

"You are forbidden from joining such foolish activities, it could cost you your life, you hear me!"Her mother then left the room with loud steps.

Mirabel sat still for a little before leaving and heading to her bare room which only contained a bed and a bag for her clothes.

She wanted to become a knight, but her mother could not pay to send her to a knight academy so she had to find other solutions to become strong. Sects provided that and they cost no money for thier residents necessities.

Furthermore, they trained thier talents in many ways with strong elders as their teachers.

It was the one place that could secure her future as a knight. She knew her mother would disagree with her. Her mother was one reason why she would even want to stay. She was all her mother had left since her father had died. But her mother had stated seeing someone so her resolve was absolute.
