Nothing better to do, Let's go questing!

"Well now with that out of the way", Jordie commented as he climbed out of the unusual crater he woke up in, "Mind telling me what these quests are?"

[Opening Objectives.]

A few moments later, two window prompts appeared in Jordie's vision.

"Grade...level...does that mean what I think they mean or nah?"

[Host should use the Analyze skill to confirm it], the System said unhelpfully.

"Oh right...uh...", Jordie said as he began to look around, "oh that looks like a monster."

Jordie had located what appeared to be a small-rabbit like monster with scale armor mixed with it's white fur.

"So do I just..."

[Just stare at it and think it.]

"Right."

Jordie mentally activated the Analyze skill on the rabbit while keeping the small creature in his sights. A moment later, a small information window appeared in his vision.

"Huh...I can't tell if I'm disappointed or amazed".

[At the skill?]

"The monster. I expected a...crazy name I guess? It's just so straightforward", Jordie commented.

[This System is currently translating the names of all the monsters you come across into words that make sense to you. You do have the option of turning it off and sticking with the native tongue], the System replied.

"Oh...never mind then", Jordie casually dismissed, "Let's go questing then."

Focusing on the [Map] skill, a 3D map of the area around him formed inside of his field of vision.

"Demeter's Grove? Not sure how a Greek goddess got a place here, but let's go!"

With that declaration made, Jordie proceeded to rush into the great unknown forest before him.

Deep in the heart of a forest, where the trees always had plenty of fruits and nuts hanging on the branches and tasty plants and mushrooms grew on the floor below, a soft and gentle river flowed into a lovely lake that had a mirror-like surface.

Upon the shores of this lake, a gravely wounded, unconcious woman was clinging to life as her body layed upon the lakeshore. Tied to her front was a small bundle.

"Where...am I?", she thought to herself as she felt her consciousness slowly return, "Is he-."

"Moo", a small voice sleepily cooed.

"He's still okay...", she said to herself in comfort, "but...".

She closed her eyes as she tried to steady her breathing.

"Stars above," she began to pray, "I do not have much time left. You sent me that sign for a reason. You sent me here for a reason. Before I leave him behind, please...show me why..."

A literal second later after making this prayer, she suddenly heard the voice of a human approaching her position from the distance.

"NOPE,NOPE,NOPE,NOPE,NOPE!"

Whoever that voice belonged to sounded rather panicked.

"Into the deep!", Jordie shouted as he dove headfirst into the lake in front of him. He held a deep breath as he quickly readjusted himself to be able to see out to the surface.

Moments later, a van-size tortoise monster with spiky crystalline shell came bursting out of the tree line hot on Jordie's trail. The tortoise monster began to angrily sniff the air in search of the annoying little human that dared to intrude on it's territory, unaware that the aforementioned human was hiding right in front of him.

Jordie watched, his lungs burning with an intense pain, as the tortoise monster stopped it's searching and finally wandered away. He waited a few more seconds before finally bursting his head out of the water and taking several deep breaths.

"That was...horrifying...", Jordie said in-between gasps of air, "how the hell is a tortoise that fast?"

[In the span of two hours you have encountered: three different types of Slimes, a Green Wind Wolf, a Rot Boar, a Howling Gorilla and finally an Amethyst Tortoise], the System suddenly brought up, [And all you have gotten out of it so far is your Analyze skill leveling up twice.]

"Well excuse me magic science voice", Jordie retorted while trying to get water out of his ears, "The quest rewards are determined on the monster's level and grade, right?"

[Yes.]

"So I'm trying to get maximum benefits from this whole ordeal", he added while shaking water off of his boots.

[Maximum benefit? With your freshly transmigrated weak butt?]

"That may be the case, but you're in my head and you know that I know that otherworlders tend to have some crazy luck in the first few moments of being transmigrated, or that they accidentally waste a great opportunity on something dumb," Jordie answered, "I am not wasting such an open-ended quest on something...wait, what's that thing over there?"

A little a ways off from Jordie's position, he saw a strange humanoid-ox hybrid creature just laying on the shore. Out of curiosity, he proceeded to use [Analyze] on it.

Classification: Giant

Species: Minotaur

Subspecies: Tempest Minotaur

Level: 78

Grade: A

Status: Critical (Poisoned, Bleeding)

Gender: Female

Attributes: Lightning, Wind, Earth

Description:

Cyclones are her breath, lighting are her weapons and the world rumbles for every step she takes, she is the storm and the storm is her rage given form. Bearing the countenance of an ox and the body of a human, Minotaurs are relatively small for members of the Giant classification, but that doesn't mean they're any less dangerous. Brute strength and sharp wit make minotaurs either the worst enemy to face off against or the best partner a tamer could ask for. While a majority of Minotaurs tend to be unable to comprehend magical skills despite their intellect, it is known that at least one in every thousand minotaurs born will have innate elemental skills. They're considered top class monsters regardless of location, finding one can either be a blessing or a cursed.
