The Kingdom of the Malaise

Upon walking out of the room I was initially in, I had to leap up onto a ledge of and walked into the room filled with glass.

Looking up, several chains hung down from the roof while holding up several empty glass bulbs.

'So this is the place where my knowledge is held huh?'

Looking up at the myriad of glass bottles with nothing held in them, I couldn't help but notice that a few of them contained glowing water in their bodies of glass.

Looking at them with more focus, I noticed that the bottles held within them all the things I had thus far found.

Ignoring the glass bottles that hung from the ceiling and were held by thick metal chains, I turned to admire the rest of the room.

Cubical in shape and made of the same material the previous room was made of, Two braziers continuously burned in the room.

A long glass tube like structure connected with various pipes ay in the middle of a wall, contained in a large stone arch.

But because I had an idea on how to use, but couldn't activate for lack of materials.

I just ignored it.

Walking forwards, bow in hand.

Two paths were laid bare to me, one upwards.

The other through a wooden door that had withstood the test of time unlike the metal parts of it would suggest.

Glancing at the path upwards and seeing nothing of note for now, I turned and looked at the wooden door.

Walking up to it, my suspicions were not confirmed as the door easily opened despite the accumulating rust on it's metal part of the door.

And through the door I was surprised once again.

A small armory was inside the door, retaining it's cubical structure.

Weapons galore were stored on their respective weapon racks, a good majority of the iron weapons resting against each other or inside wooden barrels.

A generous coating of dust made it obvious that the weapons hadn't been used.

A door similar in build to the one I had just opened was placed on the opposite side of the one I had just came in.

Sadly no armor however was present alongside the armory, but than again...

Looking at the iron weapons in various states of rust and decay I shook my head, the coating of dust speaking volumes of there state of care.

Even if there was armor in the storage I sincerely doubted the usability of the armor as one look from my not so experienced eyes could tell that these were not usable in the slightest.

They could definitely last for a small while but I doubted the length of how long they could last.

But besides the rusty iron weapons that weren't special in the slightest and rested on the wooden weapon racks, a few of them just being strewn against the ground.

I couldn't help but notice three more special weapons that were lain across the ground.

'Huh'

Looking at the weapons laid across the ground besides an ancient skeleton that was definitely the previous owner of the ancient armaments.

I offered a brief prayer to the warrior who was split in half by some manner of blade.

Ignoring the leather armor on the skeleton as it was to broken and thus unusable, the leather strap peeling away and barely holding itself together.

I looked at the weapons that they skeleton had used before their death.

[Broadsword], [Multiple nocked bow], [Rampart]

'Hmm, how convenient'

[Broadsword] was an incredibly large dark blue colored sword, the width of the blade was a generous 30 centimeters and was 2 meters tall.

I didn't doubt that I could hide my entire body behind the large blade if I shielded myself from the side, it was just that large.

Holding the large double edged sword with two hands, it was incredibly hard to lift the blade and I had to let the edge of it sink into the stone ground.

I probably needed to train with the weapon for a while to use it, but I had a lot of time on my hands, I could get to it.

[Multiple Nocked Bow] Was slightly self explanatory as it was part of it's name and was around half my body size in length, which was 1 meter in length.

Putting the dark blue blade away into my inventory and feeling the heavy weight disappear from my hands, a thought surfaced in my mind, but I would need some more experimentation.

Holding the purple bow in my hands, I carefully inspected the length of the bow.

A silver bow string hung at the ends of the limbs of the bow, several arrow shelves were made on the bow allowing for more than one arrow to be placed on it.

Two arcs of purple metal were holding the rest of the bow together, the outer arc where the arrow shelves were placed, the inner arc the handle.

Holding the strange bow with slight unfamiliarity, I felt the weight of the bow in my hand and tested the string.

Nodding in satisfaction I dismissed the bow and picked up the final item.

It was [Rampart]

A red wood shield with a black reverse cross on it's body and surrounded by steel and adorned with a blue gem.

A sigil of an eagle hung on the edges of the rampart, but I wasn't attracted to it.

It was the same shield that I had taken from people I didn't even remember anymore.

Capable of absorbing physical force through unknown means and generating forcefields through the absorbed force, the shield was definitely useful.

But exactly because it was useful, the previous shield was on the verge of destruction.

after using it to it's utmost limits, a large crack ran across the shield and I had an instinctual feeling that the shield would break soon if I didn't get it repaired.

And seeing as I was literally in some place that was basically an evil biome, it was a definite that I couldn't find any blacksmiths to repair my shield soon.

I could do the act of reaping my own life and finding someone to repair the shield.

But I had a great aversion to death even though I was slightly numb to it by now.

And I couldn't guarantee that I could have the good fortune of finding this place and taking the rewards this place held.

So this shield came in great time.

Taking the shield with a grin and holding the other shield in my other hand, I put it in front of my minecraftian screen and watched the magic happen.

The shields briefly hung in the air without my hands and shook for a moment.

The shields than rotated in the air with some sort of magical interference as they neared each other.

Touching each other in their second rotation, a sharp flash appeared in the air as they covered the area in their light that I could somehow look through.

Staring through the blinding light, I felt something touch my mind before disappearing as the light died down.

Looking at the slowly spinning shield I smiled and held the newly repaired item in my hands.

[Rampart I]

[20(40)]

[Absorbs damage, generates a force field for 2 seconds upon successful parry]

'The hell?'

Blinking not once but twice I hurriedly brought up the sync rate for the various games I gained as superpowers.

[Dead Cells - 30%]

[Terraria - 38%]

[Minecraft - 31%]

The other games had somewhat stagnated, but the one that I was paying attention to however had not.

The Dead cells had gained a whopping 5% of sync since I last saw it.

Which meant that my new knowledge that i could see was definitely the cause of it.

Looking at the shield in a new light I looked at the rest of the weapons I had in my inventory and grinned.

Looking at their stats, I looked upwards as a groaning sound attracted my attention.

A zombie attracted to the brief flashing light was shambling forwards.

Green ooze leaked out of their exposed innards as the gaunt face filled with green light and was positively radioactive stumbled forwards.

Wearing raggedy clothes I grinned as I locked the shield onto my arm, feeling the red shield rest on my arms, I took out the Katana with a smile.

Catching sight of me, the zombie infected by the malaise groaned and slobbered green ooze.

The Green ooze hissed against the ground before the zombie crouched.

A bright flashing exclamation appeared above the zombie's head before it jumped forwards.

"GRoaR!"

Bringing up my shield the zombie crashed against the shield before it was launched upwards and into the ceiling.

Holding my katana Vertically, I swung the blade upwards and cut the zombie diagonally in half.

Feeling the flesh split at the sharp touch of the blade my smile disappeared as the Katana in my hands fragmented into several pieces.

Looking dumbly at the broken katana, the zombie that was sliced in half just died.

'Yeah I forgot about that'

It seemed the battle I was in previously was to much for the 10 gold worth Katana and this clash with the zombie was to much for it.

The good thing was that the zombie had died otherwise I would have to test my theory much earlier than I had thought.

The good thing was that my losses were paid back in full.

A bright shine from the zombie corpse was brought to my attention as I looked at the monster with confusion.

That confusion disappeared when I saw the Blood Sword Blueprint on the corpse.

'Well my losses were paid in full'

The sounds of the string being pulled back attracted my attention again.

Looking up just in time to see an arrow fly towards my face, I hurriedly brought the shield to my face and blocked the arrow.

Sighing I looked past the shield and saw a skeletal being drawing back the large long bow at least their size, a sharp glinting arrow resting on the strings.

In green attire and a large hunting cap covering the majority of their face in shadows but failing to hide their skeletal features.

Right behind the skeleton was a cohort of zombies that seemed to be the comrades of the zombie.

"Hah..."
