Kingdom of the Malaise (39)

We're reaching the end everyone!

Also.

I may not be confident when writing out everything a good story line although I think I've been doing well so far.

But when it comes to battles, I'm confident.

With the fallen limbs which were actually several thousand tentacles falling to the ground colliding against the giant ticks.

I glanced at the blue and green skinned atop of the purple ticks.

Watching them collide like two opposing tides, they mixed together like into a sea of blood.

Making the blood which already was knee length splash wildly, the heady scent of iron filled the air.

Smelling that smell intensify to greater heights as more blood was spilled, I activated my black head of fire to make sure I wouldn't smell more of it.

Feeling the heady scent slowly disappear, I felt the battle lust which slowly clouded my head slowly back off.

It hadn't disappeared however.

Far from it since my blade was dancing amongst the corpses.

[Firebrands] flew from my hands in fiery missiles of chaos as the flaming bolts attacked the monsters with extreme anger.

Blowing up amongst the creatures, I belatedly realized my accident and unequipped the Broken inferno core while dousing the flames with [Ice shards]

I stomped downwards and sent waves of blood cascading around me, and although I would like to use the good old blood sword and the blood flame combo.

Since I was knee deep in blood I refrained from doing so.

It was a strange sensation however to go from fighting atop corpses to fighting in a literal river of blood.

But if anything I was adaptable.

Since I couldn't move my legs to stabilize and empower my physical attacks, I returned to acting like a turret.

[Throwing Knives] flew from my hand and embedded on the eyes of the [Giant ticks].

Holding the [Bow and Endless Quiver] I aimed straight at the monsters.

Letting loose a hail of arrows, they flew straight up into the sky before dipping at the apex of their arc and fell down like the rain from the sky.

Piercing whatever beings were in their way, my hands seemed to blur as I felt a tingle travel through them.

Grabbing the strings, an arrow manifested within before I let the string fly and repeated the action.

Doing this in incredible amounts in short durations strained my arms, but it was nothing a simple potion couldn't fix.

If anything, the blood covering me wasn't a testament of my wounds at all and was only a testament of my enemies wounds.

Staring at the tentacles which glided across the surface of the blood and dipped down like snakes before bursting forwards and wrapping around the Giant ticks, the purple bug squirming underneath the powerful grasps.

I threw a handful of [Fire grenades] [Ice Grandes] [Magnetic Grenades] [Infantry Grenades] [Powerful Grenades] [Swarm Grenades] [Cluster Grenades] their general direction while forgetting an important thing in the heat of battle.

They were fucking loud.

To loud in fact.

And in the battle where the sounds were mostly concentrated in the form of clashing armaments and screeching monsters.

The sound reminscent of an explosion and the sight of a plume of smoke which suddenly appeared in the middle of the battlefield was a bit to much to ignore.

Suddenly, I was the center of the attention and had caught the eyes of nearly every single enemy in the hundred meter vicinity.

And with the size of a circular radius of a hundred meters, that was incredibly large.

The attention of the monster known as Mama tick was an unfortunate bonus I had to receive.

Staring at one of the giant eyeballs which was directed my direction I shivered and burst into a roll.

Quickly dodging one of the spiked arms which pierced through the ground and flew straight into the air, as if waiting for just that, the blue skinned [Blowgunners] took a deep breath in unison and fired long sharp thorns.

I had no doubt that I would have poison course throw my body if they landed, so in an incredibly physical act that surprised even me, my body twisted through the air and dodged the thorns.

'Oh, the Mama tick now has more eyes on me.'

Lifting its large arm, the long serated edge of the scythe like claw dashed straight towards me at blinding speeds.

Even if I could turn my body somehow like before, the attack would still attack me.

So using the shield of Cthulhu, I appeared right above the scythe blade which dug deep into the ground and tore through several tentacles.

That didn't account for how many were left however.

Leaping towards the arm, several tentacles grabbed at the arm that suddenly appeared in the battlefield and tried to pin it down, half succeeding as some of the tentacles which were hidden underground suddenly burst forth as if a trap had been triggered.

Gently landing on the arm, the monsters following the Mama Tick didn't idly stand by and quickly attacked the tentacles.

[Banished] wielded the glowing blades with incredible effeciency as they threw their human like bodies into the battle fray.

And now that I could actually see it, wasn't the orange particles that I call the malaise resting within those blades.

Ignoring that new piece of information, I turned my attention to the boss monster that was now struggling to get its arm ripped out of the ground.

'Even if I deal with the monsters on the ground that doesn't get rid of the danger that these three possess.'

The Conjunctivis was currently held down by the unknown man and a majority of the monsters were being distracted by the unknown figure known as Calliope before I accidentally took away all the attention.

And now that all the attention was taken away from me, I had two things I could do.

Kill the monsters like before and enlist the help of Calliope or go attack Mama tick before it could do more damage.

I know for a fact that with the Mama Tick on the sidelines attacking me, things would be incredibly difficult.

I knew that for a fact after dealing with the silver knight.

'On that note, where the hell are they?'

Realizing that the attention which was placed solely on the bosses wasn't exactly a good thing, I scanned the battlefield.

Noting that they were attacking [Death] with the combined forces of an entire army of infected monsters, I realized that the only unrestrained player on the battlefield that could do anything they wanted was the monster known as Mama Tick.

'Not for long however.'

Feeling the arm tremble underneath my feet I burst into a dash.

Keeping all my weapons in my inventory since they would be of no help for now, I kept on running forwards.

Catching the attention of one of the many eyes of the boss monster, a chitinous limb flew straight towards my path.

Flipping over it, I continued running and as I did so I left behind a gift known as the [Heavy Turret] the heavy metal bolts flew as they crashed into the chitin and cracked its surface.

Screeching in anger at the puny being which dared to harm its glorious body, many of its eyes now focused on me since the other two bosses were more then occupied by their respective foes.

Raising several arms from the ground and around their body, the scythe like appendages pointed straight at me before launching forwards like javelins.

Seeing the myriad of sharp spiky arms pointing at my face, I dove right into the fray of battle.

Grabbing the edge of the scythe arm, I pushed down on it and spun in the air.

Landing on an arm, a Nutcracker met the other arm and sent it slicing into its own arm.

Sacrificing the hammer to stop the arm from slicing through my body, I grabbed the frozen arm and dodge two others which would've threatened to split my body two ways.

Locking an infantry Grenade amongst the nest of arms, the explosion rocked the network of arms and sent purple blood flying around as I used the shockwave to send my flailing through the air.

Grabbing onto a nearby appendage lifted my legs and kicked the blade trying to bisect me and flew up into the air.

Landing on the surface of the arm, the initial arm and the largest one which was occupied with dealing with the tentacles moved and lifted itself upwards.

Licking my lips, more eyes focused on me as the arms which accompanied them suddenly focused on me..

And with the arms which were locked behind me freeing themselves alongside the main arm.

I was acutely aware that my surroundings were filled with enemies of one kind.

The sharp arms of the Boss monster known as Mama Tick.

But despite the danger which filled my surroundings.

'This is strangely exciting.'

Feeling the arm beneath me tremble, I stomped downwards with the Ram Rune and began blasting with all of my armaments.

"FOR THE HONOR OF THE KINGDOM!" Spinning around, Gerald felt an uncontrollable excitement course through his body.

Using all of the power hidden within his half Giant blood, the muscles surrounding his body quickly enlarged and tensed as they spun the giant sword which couldn't even properly called a sword as much as it was a slab of iron.

Easily slicing through the monster known as Conjuntivis's flesh, the large eye on its body glowed green before green bolts of magic suddenly burst forth from the eye as the center.

Feeling the magic send tremors running through his body, the half giant man smiled through the pain and laughed maniacally.

"YES! YOU CAN'T BE CALLED A BOSS IF YOU AREN'T THIS POWERFUL!"

Interrupting his boast, a large tentacle slapped him into the earth sending shockwaves cascading through the earth.

Thick blocks of stone lifting into the air and flying away, the stone dust and dirt suddenly hovered in place before surging towards the center of the crater.

Surging towards him, the man was suddenly covered in a thick layer of stone on his already large body making the sword in his hand finally seem as if it was made for him.

But it didn't end there, stabbing the blade into the ground, the blade suddenly had a bright light cover it as blood uncontrollably surged towards it and made the blade grow larger in a redder hue.

"TIME FOR ROUND TWO!"

Stomping on the ground and causing a pillar of stone to grow from beneath him, his blood red blade suddenly blazed a brown hue as a giant sword like aura descended from the sky.

Splitting the wind which blocked it, the giant earth like blade flew straight up at the Boss monster as he spun through the air.

Forming a tornado through sheer strength alone, the thick tentacles on the body of Conjunctivis split up as a red laser came from its now red eye.

Rushing straight towards the tornado, the large sucker like mouth aimed straight at the tornado before the many arms propelled it forwards.

Crashing against the tornado, the Collector stood on the sidelines, a myriad of thoughts running through his mind as his apprentice stared slack mouthed at the fights which defied the natural order of things.
