"GROAAARRR!!"

As the battle between nature and the corrupted continued on, creating a mass collision of flesh and wood.

I was occupied with my own battle of rather epic proportions.

And I must say, I rather loved it.

Ever since I was a child I loved the thrill.

But I guess that fire dampened my spirits.

But here in this world where my own death wasn't guaranteed I went wild, that flame of the thrill which had been snuffed out had been accumulating.

And it was with the spark of the malaise that it had finally resurged.

My eyes glittered as the unrestrained and wild power of the malaise ran amuck of my body.

Pulling back my arm and letting the orange power of malaise flow through it unimpeded, a gigantic claw formed in the air before clawing downwards.

Smacking against the tentacles of the Overlord of the seas, unknown to me, my eyes glittered with a fierce orange light as my teeth became serrated like those of a beasts.

But even if I knew, would I really care with all of this fun stuff happening?

Forming a claw with my hand, I grasped several tentacles at once and yanked them, forcibly launching the overlord of the seas onto the land.

Feeling my face split into a grin, my muscles burst with renewed strength as I ran forwards.

Feeling the power rushing through my veins like a herd of charging bulls, I nearly went along with the instinct of wanting to rip and tear through the enemies like they were cotton candy.

But the last bit of rational incredibly held it back and made me draw out several weapons.

It was then that I ran forwards unimpeded.

Taking advantage of my naturally small stature in front of these giants, the malaise burned fiecely in unison with my hair, creating orange flames that stubbornly stuck to the overlord of the seas.

Thrashing against the ground, the two claws of mama tick appeared in my hands as I drew them simultaneously and swung them.

One after another, the claws left beind devastating rips in the air, leaving behind scars in the sky as they tore the space between the claws and the Leather of the shark.

Spinning around, the claws disappeared into my inventory before being replaced by the Nutcracker.

Swinging the gigantic hammer around, the long shaft of the hammer bent underneath the centrifugal force, not that it mattered since they were just placeholders for now.

Slamming the hammer into the balled fist of the Skeletal hand of Skeletron, the lord of the Dungeon's hand was sent flying back as the orange flames stubbornly stuck to its fist.

Stubbornly burning its fist, Skeletron let out a soundless scream all the while the hammer had a large crack run across its surface.

Not that it mattered.

Eyes darting across the battlefield, a wide smile split my face.

Slamming the hammer into the ground, a loud screech resounded the earth as the face of the eater of worlds was slammed right back into the ground like a pancake.

Forcibly ripping it out with the embedded hammer stuck into its face, my arms rippled with power as they fished out the entire body of the eater of worlds.

Reforming a new face by discarding its old and broken flesh, the Eater of worlds roared loudly as the rest of its separated brethren roared in unison.

Glaring at me, it soon turned its attention to Skeletron which was busily trying to get rid of the flames clinging onto its body.

Wrapping around its body, Skeletron soundlessly roared right before it began ripping apart the purple monstrosity trying to choke it out and devour the remains of the skeletal being.

Blasting jets of blood, the long arms instantly seperated as the skull opened its jaw and bit down onto its flesh.

Following it, a giant fist simultaneously headed towards me and the Overlord of the seas contending against some of its own eater of worlds.

'Now this is more like it!'

Somersaulting above a jet of water followed by a tail swipe from the eater of worlds and a deflection of Skeletron's hands with a my balanced blade.

The sonorous green blade instantly shattered revealing nothing behind it as I was shoved back.

Falling into the embrace of the eater of worlds, the worm like body of the eater of worlds instantly coiled around me in which case I replied by shoving the broken blade into the tender flesh of the eater of worlds.

Twisting it, I kicked the worm, releasing me from its grasp as my twin blades appeared in my hands.

Plunging them into the ground, the small worm making its way to me died an unjust death as I quickly ripped it out and prepared to shred apart the monster that would be soon born.

But unlike what I expected, the worm just went on and died instead of... well... turning into another worm.

Rather unexpected.

Furrowing my brows, I turned around to the source of the worms all the while making sure to keep my senses spread around and my blue now turned orange arrows around to sense all the minor changes.

And lo and behold.

Reminiscent of a certain scene of an island located in the middle of the ocean and was proliferated and filled to the brim with monsters.

A horde of purple monsters was surging forwards and was met with equally powerful figures.

The only difference in this case was that the warriors of the malaise were accompanied by large moving tree guys called Treants.

'When the hell did they get there actually?'

Staring at the moving trees, I turned my attention back to the fight as I reminiscenced the battle of Sevallia where the malaise that had turned all of its inhabitants into monsters had filled it to the brim.

'Wait a minute, isn't the malaise something that makes monsters?'

Recalling that fact belatedly during the battle, my smile couldn't even be any wider than it wanted to.

Remembering the night in the treetops of the Promenade of the Condemned where I had spent my time in the tree tops.

I recalled how I experimented on the vine rune and the malaise which turned the plants into blood thirsty monsters.

Just how on earth was my memory so bad as to forget something like that?

But just like what Ma said, nothing like the present to put it into action.

Plunging my fist into the ground, the already barren and battle torn ground split apart again against its will as the earth screamed.

And it heaved.

With orange rippling across its surface, malaise collected rocks which formed several beasts made out of stone.

The most notable ones were the humanoid ones.

Holding large long swords, the semi skeletal giants just like the slashers appeared, carrying chains of stone made out of interlinking boulders.

Weaving roots of all kinds made out of wood and evil wood serving as its skeletal structure, the giant stone behemoths wielded their weapons as the wood bent and creaked.

Holding the blades in front of their chests, orange eyes gleamed underneath their wooden sockets, setting alight their minds as the semi intelligent monsters awakened.

Turning towards me for a command, unlike what the first creation did such as

It's probably a benefit of being the avatar of the malaise, and I'll gladly take it.

"Go forth monsters of the malaise."

Grinning widely I pointed at the purple monsters. "Go and kill those corrupted purple critters for me and bring me their heads."

And just like that, they turned and ran, stomping on the ground and eliciting cracks from the force of it, they raised their blades and swung.

Ignoring the supposed allies in front of them since they were literally only semi-intelligent beasts, they clashed against the Corrupted legions, joining the giant treants in their battle.

And wouldn't you know it? I think I can see someone in the distance.

Grinning widely, my arms twisted beyond normal human standards and allowed me to bring out a shield to block the on other terms would be considered unblockable.

But ever since I felt and unleashed the malaise in its entirety and blocked the possibility of me using mana normally anymore.

I guess I really just did away with normal human standards.

Spinning around, the twin daggers appeared in my hands as I instantly slithered my way to the body of the Overlord of the seas wrapped in a giant watery bubble.

"Lucia"

A placid smile on a bearded face accompanied by a haggard smile gently touched the edges of his face.

Gently bringing down his hand onto a small girls head the man opened their mouth.

"This is our kingdom."

Waving his hands, a wide expanse of white buildings continued to expand far off into the distance, only hindered by the desert and the beings that resided in it.

"And you are it's princess."

"And the duty of a Princess is to protect her subjects"

Glancing at the tiny girl who was not of age yet and was instead still a young fledgling child naive to the world he spoke again.

"Because what else is a king without their people but a fool on a fancy chair?"

"&!*("

"So remember"

"!*#$( #("

"You are the kingdom's people"

"!&$*()# #()"

"And the Kingdom's people are you."

"Princess Rosetta! We are here!"

Jolting out of her revery, Lucia subtly rubbed the tears out of her eyes and smiled brightly much like how a princess should be.

Carrying a regal aura, that aura cracked when she saw the situation in front of her and couldn't help but curse quietly.

"Oh deary me, this is a shitty situation."
