Ex-lover
Kevin ran shaky hands through his hair. "Leo? Is this a prank?"
Cynthia was coming back to the country? This would be the first time he's heard of her after she left him.
When they meet, what would they say? What would he do?
Kevin wasn't sure why he was reacting to the news this way, he thought he'd moved on or was it a shock?
"Why would I make such an expensive joke? I'm not kidding, dude." Leo was serious. "I thought you knew, weren't you the one that sent the list to the President?"
He let out a huge breath. "No, I only cast a glance and asked Myra to send it."
"Oh." Leo poured out another glass of wine for him. "Would you have included her name in the list if you had gone through it?"
Kevin looked down into his glass of wine, "Well, I can't stop her from attending the anniversary, it's her father's company, after all."
"And if Cynthia shows up, would you be fine?"
