Drunk secretary
Kevin got up from the table, strolling to the wine cabinet to pour himself a drink. His mind reeled back to the state he left Myra in.
He stood by her door and watched how engrossed she was in her work, looking upset and anxious, only trying to distract herself with the work.
Kevin didn't manage to see who was in the car when Myra rushed out on their way to the restaurant, that was the beginning of her distraction.
Who could it be? Her boyfriend perhaps?
Pacing his study, he thought of what to do.
He walked up to the table to retrieve his phone, clicking on Myra's number, his hand hovered over the dial button.
"No," Kevin muttered, dropping the phone.
He couldn't call her all of a sudden.
What would he say?
Hey, Myra. I was worried about you and wanted to enquire if you got home safe? Why were you looking so down? Did your boyfriend break your heart?
What would she think of him?
