Chapter 16: IT A SECRET

Haaaaa, what a long day, I drop my bag on the couch in my room, plunging my shoes to God knows where, I drop my jacket on the bed, the bed creak with me jumping on it, I was about to close my eyes and drift off to sleep when Alice came inside.

Miss.......... I saw her standing akimbo with a face ....... Oh God I know that face, she's about to go rabid on me now 

Mina......., Alice called me, oh I said it she calls me by my name when she's pissed off, but piss off with what?, I don't know

Mina I know you had a long day and you are tired she said picking up one of my shoes while looking for the other, but you can't sleep without eating and surely not in those clothes even if you don't have your shower

Alice, am not hungry, my stomach grumbled, that's to be expected, I mean I only take breakfast today. Okay I admit I am hungry, I reply after my stomach decided to turn on me, but am too tired to eat.

Okay I will bring your dinner inside then, thank you, I reply rolling unto my back, to  pick up an incoming call. My heart started racing seeing the caller.

Hi Eric, 

Hello Mina, how was work today?

Fine 

Good, I was told you designated a working space for us at the company 

Yes, I figured that will make our work faster 

Okay, that's gud, so I hope you don't forget our lunch tomorrow 

No I don't 

Good so I will see you tomorrow then, good night

Wait, what?, designating a place for them at our company, that means I will be seeing him everyday, biting my finger, I shouldn't have to that, how will I survive the whole of a month with him so close by, I mean am kind of eager to see him but am afraid have never felt like this before and have never been in a relationship.

Mina here is your dinner, Alice comes in with a tray of food. Thanks, without waiting for an order, I started digging in, Alice, the food seems a little cold.

Am sorry Miss, let me go and warm it up for you, I already serve your meal when I saw you enter, I taught you will come back down to eat, that why I came to check up on you when I did not see you at the dining.

Okay no worries am damn hungry, I said already halfway through the meal, as usual, Alice is a great cook, the meal is delicious

Thank you miss, I will wait for you to finish eating so I can clean up. Okay

that's gud, so you do that for one week, seven days should be good enough.

Seven days is more than enough, my boyfriend told me it will be too late even for three days am sure we wouldn't have to wait for seven days. 

How long did he say it will take for the stuff to happen 

He says fifteen to twenty days maximum

There's another thing  going on already, I think I should put a stop to it, I didn't know you will get your hand on something this nice Magaret, if this work out I won't need that again, did you settle your boyfriend enough to keep his mouth shut

Magaret came back with a bootle of red wine and a glass cup, Thank you Magaret, you can leave now, okay ma'am.

Pouring the wine into the cup, I swirl the wine around, savouring the smell, I took a sip, hmmmm, this feels nice, I said closing my eyes and resting my head on the couch.

I see you are in a good mood tonight, turning my head to the right while taking another sip of the wine, I saw my mother entering my room

Yes mom am in a good mood, and why is that 

It a secret, very soon you will find out, alright darling as long as you are in a good mood I will surely wait for it,  then let me join you her mother reply calling a maid to bring one more glass cup.

Oohhh I can't believe it morning already, it as if have only slept for thirty minutes and not six hours, I feel so down, getting up from the bed, yawning and rubbing my eyes, I open my closet looking for clothes to wear.

Am always doing that, I like to lay out what am wearing before having a shower

Good morning Alice, anything will do, okay  I will make something fast then. I can't believe I haven't decided what to wear yet.

Not too long Alice came in with slices of bread and scotch egg with my cup of coffee. You are still looking for what to wear since I left you she said setting the tray on the bed.

Exactly Alice, am as surprise as you are, I don't know why I can't decide what to wear, I mean, am going to the office not to a party.

Ohohohoh, wait.......Alice was smiling now, but I don't know why

Because this happens when a woman is seeing someone or you have someone to impress she explain smiling

No, I don't have anyone to impress thank you, you can leave now I need to prepare for work I said pushing her out of the room, locking the door behind her.

Is that what this is, not deciding what to wear ontime, does it have anything to do with Eric. I shake off the taught, well I guess since I have a lunch meeting or is it a date, I should dress differently today.

After dressing up, I have my breakfast, grabbing my bag, it time for work which am looking forward to, I can't wait for the sample to be done so production can start ASAP.

I was almost outside when I catch a glimpse of  Elizabeth entering her car, she must be getting serious with work in the office seeing her going very early. Settling down in my chair at the office, I called Evelyn to go through my schedule for the day.

Good morning madam, morning Evelyn, how are you doing this morning.

Am good, did you see your sister, she ask me sitting opposite me. Not exactly,  why, I ask in return.

Omg Mina, she's so not dress for the office but here she is, what's wrong with her dress? I ask again looking confuse.

She's dress so sluty, that dressing is not for the office at all, she looks like a secretary trying to seduce her boss, Evelyn was going on and on standing on her feet to describe what she wears.

Well I don't know what to say to that, it her body, am sure she can choose the way she  decided to dress Evelyn she's not a baby. 

Okay, but you won't say that when you see her, anyways here is your schedule, you are going to have a meeting with Eric first, then you both have a meeting with the robot building team, which will both take like four hours or more.

Thereafter you have your lunch and after lunch you go about the other pending works, she narrated

Which of the pending work am I attending to today.

How about the coffee bean procurement and after that you can go check the coffee shop interior decor, the assistant called me this morning that they are done with all the work.

Okay good, so what time do I start my day, I ask 

You start now, she said checking her watch.

Okay, I said standing up to pack my files, did you have someone show the team to their offices and Eric's. Yes I did, okay I will be right back.

Am so glad to work side by side with Mina, so I came to work early this morning since am having my first meeting with her, though I will be working half a day here, I still have other things to handle in the company apart from this project.

Even though I can only work with her till lunch time, am still happy like a baby who sees his mother, I guess you are head over heels already, I said to myself out loud just that I don't know when or how.

Was it when she showed up at the hospital as my STP,  or when she keeps bumping into me, was it when she almost died as a result of double allergic reaction remembering the way she was trying so hard to breath that day somehow hurts my heart, or when I saw her in that wine gown.......

A knock on the door jolted me out of my why, when and  how, is she here, has she come early so she can see me, checking my watch is still ten minutes to the meeting. Smiling happily like a baby, hmnhmn, I clear my throat and turn on my serious mode. Come in 

A tall and slender woman with a fair skin, well not as fair as Mina's, came in with a very short red gown hugging her body tight, isn't the gown too short. Walking towards my desk, her way too obvious boobs were bouncing as she takes her step, I look up to see a heavily make up face. I think have seen this face before, but where.......

I must say her beauty is charming or should I say bewitching with those hot shape, if it were to be Josh he would ask her out immediately but these types of women are not for me, they  are just not my type.

I like them reserving, more fairer, nice shape but not too big boobs and ass, not too tall, I like to hoover over my woman, I like them petite with their natural look and most importantly hardworking. Omg, that why I found myself drawn to Mina, I guess she fit In perfectly.

Good morning Mr Erickson, the woman's voice brought me back from my realization. My name is Elizabeth Bernard, I taught since you are here it only right that I introduce myself and also to thank you for attending my welcome party.

You are Mina's sister, I stood up to shake her hands by extending mine, she took it and was holding it for too long.

Sorry about that am just kind of carried away, she said taking her sit slowly opposite me, am I the only one thinking that she took her sit way too slowly.

Just that my sister have never spoken about you, you know women tend to talk about stuffs like that when they are in love or a new relationship.

Well I won't be surprise if she hasn't talk about me to you, you should know your sister is not a talkative and besides we agreed to keep it  a secret till we are sure about it.

Hmmm I see, since you haven't talk about it, does that means you are still not sure about each other, she said standing from her sit walking towards me.

We were planning to disclose it at the dinner which is why she invited me so we are very sure about our relationship, I said facing her looking so serious.

Really what if you find someone better than my sister she said now standing in front of me, that can't happen I reply her looking her in the face 

And why is that, she ask,

Because your sister is the best thing that's ever happen to me so how can I find someone better than the best that has already happen to me.

Does that mean I do not stand a chance, she ask 

What do you mean, you standing a chance, aren't you her sister.

I see that my sister has bewitch you as she does to others before you, she said 

What are you talking about, I ask. 

This is our family secret, I don't know if I should tell you, she said with a sad face, with water coming out of her left eye, oh God I can't do this, I promise not to this, but I think I love you and I can't have you fall into my sister pretentious act when you are meant to be with me.

What is it, I said taking her hand to guide her to sit down, why don't you calm down and tell me what the problem is .

You see my sister has always.............she started with another outburst of tears, she has always......, a knock on the door distracted us, can I come in Mr Erickson, I heard Mina's voice at the door, I have an early meeting with you this morning I believe you are aware, she said outside the door.

I look down to her sister crying her eyes out in front of me, shaking her head telling me not to allow her in. Well am about to do the opposite.

Immediately Mina opened the door, Elizabeth flung herself into my arms, I stared at Mina with a wide eyes dumbfounded.
