Daybreak

The damp forest was brightly lit by the emerging fire from the flamethrower. The hot fiery substance that came out of the flamethrower was burning through the shadows as if it was purifying it. Ferdinand was swaying the Mark 1 Flamethrower in every direction and soon after a few moments, the fuel had already run out.

Ferdinand had thought that his points will rack up, unfortunately not a single walker fell to their knees and died. He was now in a very precarious situation as the walkers were now closing on him, and what's worse is that these walkers were on fire!

Indeed, the surroundings were now bright, but the thing is there were now walking torches. As long as Ferdinand could see, that means there are walkers! So even though the walkers know his general direction, now they could see him much more clearly now. He had to take advantage of the situation, as he could clearly see now.

Ferdinand then quickly opened his interface to buy an ammo for his weapon. To his surprise, it was completely empty. There were no points he had spent all his points on buying the flamethrower and for the fuel, which was approximately 6000 points.

Feeling with no choice, Ferdinand had to resort to melee against walking torches. He heard a loud shriek from his sides to which he looked and saw that there were walkers that were about to come and get him.

Ferdinand dashed forwards so that he could dodge both walkers that were coming to get him. After dashing he went on and raised his knife and stab one of the walker in the head. While he stabbed the walker on the head, the other walker launched an attack on him, to which he swiftly raised his knife out of the head and into the head of the other walker.

[GRANTING USER 300 POINTS]x2

Ferdinand finally has points. He needs to quickly move as time is running out, because of the walkers quickly now closing on him. He needs to move fast and furious, and so he immediately bought 6 magazines of pistol rounds that has 16 rounds each, which cost him all his points.

Ferdinand then swiftly reloaded his pistol and aimed at each of the nearing walkers with the knife. He fired left and right while carefully aiming. He was now once again racking his points up. After earning more points, he immediately bought a few magazines of Mark 1 Automatic Rifle.

He reloaded his Mark 1 Automatic Rifle and mowed down the walkers. Luckily, just when he fired his rifle, there were now most probably hundreds of walkers in each of every direction, and so he had to change position every few breaths. He was doing this every for the past few hours and it seems like it was working. Though it requires a lot of mental fortitude.

During this time, Ferdinand's brain has already entered autopilot because of doing the same things now and then. Fire, and reload, when ammos runs out he buys from the store and so this way he could rack up his points.

Is in this time that he has also fallen into deep thought. Why did the flamethrower not kill the walkers? During those few moments he had an idea, the walkers were half living and half dead and to kill one walker has to separate the brain from the heart though he doesn't know why, but most likely why he failed is because it's just fire and fire burns slowly, unless there are something that is much greater than fire from a fuel.

Unable to wait any longer, Ferdinand checked up with the system and asked.

"Is there greater version of the fuel of the flamethrower?"

The system seemed to notice but replied hesitantly.

[THERE IS AND THAT IS WHAT WE CALL NAPALM}

"What is this napalm?"

[ERROR: USER MUST REACH THE CORRESPONDING TECHNOLOGY IN THE TECHNOLOGICAL TREE BEFORE ANSWERING]

"What a bummer,"

Ferdinand was very excited, as this is probably the greatest thing that he is ashamed of, and if there is a greater version of the fuel of flamethrower, then this shame of his will be removed. Instead of burning torches, he'll be burning entire bodies if that is possible with 'napalm'.

Ferdinand was still stuck in a hole and is firing in each direction every few breaths. His points were now as high as the heavens. He could finally indulge in some luxury. He also found out that he could buy perishables in the store, so his food problem was gone for the meantime.

In the meantime, the number of walkers was steadily dropping, and at that moment, Ferdinand realized that the sun was about to come out as the sky was now turning crimson and into an orange hue.

Ferdinand could finally heave a sigh of relief as the daybreak was soon coming. Unfortunately, to his expectations, he heard an explosive shriek from the distance. This sent chills down his spine. The earth was shaking as many trees were falling from the distance.

He quickly thought of solution and so he did. If the walker was pounding the ground, then it should be heavy and must be large to make the ground shake. The walker must also be big if it was clashing with the trees. So he thought of a solution, and so he looked through the store and found the perfect solution. The Mark 1 Anti-Tank Rifle. Which costed him a staggering 10000 points and each bullet cost 1000 points. His heart almost sank at the price, but he has only a measly 25500 points.

Ferdinand didn't hesitate to buy the anti-tank gun and 5 rounds of the anti-tank gun. There, at the corner of the forest, he was prone while firing his pistol at the incoming walkers. Then the time has come. The only walker left was that big guy that was causing a ruckus on the other side of the forest.

The sun has now risen and is glaring at the planet's side. The walker came out of the forest and is now foreshadowing the sun. He silently aimed at the center of the neck, though the walker was a fat good thing he has reserved bullets. A few moments later, an explosive bang was heard all around the forest, followed by a crimson flower appearing at the nearby trees of the walker.

The shot didn't kill the walker, proving the fat it has on is very large or he just simply missed the spinal cord. Ferdinand didn't stop there and so he reloaded and fired one after another until it decapitated the entire head from the body and a crimson blood spurted out of the severed head and body. The body then lay lifeless to the ground as the daybreak has come.
