chapter fifteen

Diego came out from the bathroom and entered the dressing room without looking at Ophelia. He got dressed quickly and came out when he saw Ophelia he was speechless she looked so beautiful

"you look beautiful"he said

"thank you I don't like the way you spoke to Maria she just asked you a question"

"can we not talk about that it's time for the party let's go"he said and scooped ophelia in his arms and he jumped out of the window and she held onto him.

They got to ville in thirty minutes and ophelia felt like throwing up because he went full speed. she didn't even get to see any part of versuvius cause it was thick black outside.

The guards greeted them and opened the door for them and Diego led her into the ballroom,when they got there the ballroom was filled with people from all works of life.

"woow isn't that prince Hugo"she asked pointing at a man sitting next to the king

"I advise you don't point and you should behave yourself"he said and led her to some empty seats where they sat down.

"you like the party"he asked her

"yeah sure sure"she replied looking around.

Just then the Duke walked up to them

"Diego I didn't think you would make seeing you are always busy,wow is that princess ophelia"he asked staring at her

"yes that is my wife"Diego replied coldly

"good evening your highness"she greeted

"evening princess hope Diego is taking good care of you?

"yes he is"she replied.

"don't you have people to speak with I think you should go"Diego said to the Duke

"I'll be on my way enjoy the party"he said and walked away. Diego went to get a drink for her while she waited then a woman walked up to her

"well well if it isn't Ophelia Walter the husband snatcher"she said clapping her hands.

Ophelia was taken aback whose husband did she snatch, "hey I don't understand what you are saying to me"a confused Ophelia replied.

"let's go I need to talk to you"Rosie said and dragged her along to the balcony. They reached the balcony and Rosie began to speak "so it is you that your dear father traded so his kingdom can have peace"Rosie mocked.

"watch your tongue and do not call my father I don't understand I don't know you and here you are talking trash"Ophelia replied,she didn't understand anything this woman was saying but she. just stood there listening to her.

"I Know you don't know who I am perhaps your husband didn't tell you about me"she replied

"he didn't tell me about you and even if he did of what use is it"Ophelia said

"well my name is Rosie Robert the daughter of the Duke of ville and the fiancee of prince Diego"Rosie said showing Ophelia the engagement ring.

"I know you are lying why will Diego get married again"Ophelia said angrily.

"well we got engaged before he even had the thought and marrying you and guess what"Rosie smiled mischievously

"what?

"I am pregnant with his child"Rosie said patting her tummy

Ophelia turned stiff she couldn't believe it,her heart was telling her it was a lie Diego would never do such a thing

"liar all what you have said is a lie I am not easily fooled so please find someone else to tell this shit to"Ophelia said and walked away.

She got to the party and she didn't see Diego she asked the princess close to her if she had seen Diego but she said no

"where could he have gone to or is it possible he went looking for me"she asked herself.

"let me go and look for him"she said and went upstairs,then she was hearing voices coming from a room and she placed her ear on the door. She couldn't help it,she knew how to eavesdrop and what she heard always broke her but yet she still continued.

"Rosie why did you tell her I thought I told you to keep it a secret"Diego said angrily.

"no I won't for God sake we are engaged,if you didn't want this to happen why did you come to my house and you got intimate with me 'she asked him

"that was an accident I was drunk and you should have stopped me"he shouted

"how can I stop my fiancee from having what he wants"she replied.

Then ophelia opened noisily and Diego and Rosie were shocked, ophelia wanted to cry but she had self control she didn't want to show how weak she was "Diego you disgust me I should have known better than to trust and have feelings for you

"look Ophelia it not what you think I can explain"he said coming close to her

"stay back don't come close to me cheater, adulterer you desecrated our sacred bond"she said angrily.

"shut up Ophelia this is the crown prince and he has the right to marry alot of women so please don't waste your strength talking"Rosie sneered.

"get out Rosie before i lose it"Diego shouted.

Rosie became scared she knew this wasn't the Time to act stubborn so she hurriedly left.

"take me home"Ophelia finally spoke

"please listen toe Ophelia"he said holding her shoulders but she slapped his hands

"take me home or I'll walk back and anything that happens to me you will bear the consequences you adulterer"she said with a lot of hate in her voice.

Diego saw it was pointless,he had wanted to keep this a secret but Rosie had told ophelia about it,he was going to deal with Rosie but for now he had to take care of ophelia.

He carried her and he jumped off the balcony,he moved slowly because he didn't want to annoy her

"you run to your lover at full speed but here you are behaving like a snail close to me"she sneered.

Diego increased his speed and went as fast as he could even when almost threw her she didn't even hold on to him
