THE MAGICAL WISH

I can smell blood but I am not bleeding, I am not on my periods, then what the hell is going on? I went towards the fridge and opened it. Along with all the other food inside, there was a steak on a zip lock bag that was not closed nicely. At the bottom of the steak there was a little bit of blood. Without thinking about anything I took the bag out and drink the blood.

I realise what I had done and drop the bag. Did I just drink blood? Why? Immediately I felt a sharp pain in both of my canine teeth. Like something was poking it's way out. I went to my bathroom, turn on the light and saw on the mirror that my canine teeth were turning into fangs. I looked pale and there was a horrible lust for blood.

Suddenly my eyes turn blood red and my pupils were black and there were black veins sticking out below my eyes. My fangs were sticking out too. I close my eyes for a second and open them again. The fangs, blood red eyes were gone. I went to my bedroom and sat on my bed and thought 'What on earth is going on with me?'

Monday, what comes into your mind when you hear the word? I am pretty sure there are many thoughts that instantly comes to your mind. I personally don't like Monday and I hope there few people that agree with me. But today was different, I was invited by my friends to have dinner with them. I know what you thinking, dinner with friends is a normal thing and yes, it is.

But on my case, I would like to differ. You see we are friends but not that close. And when I got the invite, I figure that maybe they feel bad that I stay so distant and all. That's why they tag me along.

Time flies to dinner time. I simply wore a demin jeans and a white foral top. I took my keys, phone and some money that I put in my jeans pocket. I don't like to carry purse and I don't know why. I left my apartment and started walking towards the restaurant. It was not so far from my place so I reach in 15 minutes or so. I went inside and saw Dash, Lily, Rose and Sam. Rose saw me and wave at me. I went towards the table and sat near Sam. I greeted everyone and they did the same.

A waiter came to our table and took our order. Everyone was talking about something which I had no idea what it was but when they ask me about my opinion, I answer them and pretend that I know what they are talking about. You see I maybe be not that social and does not have so many friends expect for these four but I am a very good observer. I can catch up really quick, even when I don't have any idea what it is. Is this all-make sense? I don't know.

Sometimes I wished that if I could read minds. That way I could know what others are thinking about me. Not only that it would be really cool to have a superpower like that. After a few minutes of talking, our food arrive and all of us dig into it as if we were hungry for a long time. I don't know about the others but I sure was very hungry.

When we were done, Lily suggested we can go to the park for a walk. Everyone agreed to her. We paid for the food and headed towards the park. Did you ever take a walk at a park at night? I have, plenty of times. I love the silence. Few people came for a walk like me, some came to walk with their dog. And the lights at the park are so beautiful. The Park have a small fountain, at night the lighting around it is just so pretty. It changes colour every minute.

After a few minutes of walking, we sat on two benches. Dash was asking everyone where they are going this weekend. Suddenly Sam said "Look a shotting star. Come on guys make a wish". I wished for if I could read minds. I know much a childish wish; it will not come true. Right? They all decided to go to a club that was nearby but I decided to head back home.

I said bye to everyone and headed back to my apartment. I reached home and changed into some comfortable clothes and went to sleep.

PRESENT TIME

As I was sitting on the bed and thinking how it is possible? Numerous causes were coming into my mind like I got into an accident and am in a coma or maybe I am getting crazy or I am dead. But the weirdest thing was I can hear sounds that are impossible for any human to hear. Suddenly I hear a knock on my door. I went to open it and saw a piece of paper and a little box on the ground. I picked it up, went inside and locked the door behind me.

I went to my bedroom and open the box, there was a ring with a blue stone on it. I opened the paper next and there was an address written there and a note, it said 'Wear this ring and come to this address. We can help you'. For a moment I thought who send me this? Maybe it can be a trick to lure me out of my apartment and kill me. What am I thinking? That's it I am really going crazy.

I kept the note and the ring on the bed, and went towards the window to remove the curtains, maybe some fresh air will help me think straight. The moment I move the curtain a little bit my hand burnt and I scream in pain. I immediately closed it and went to the bathroom holding my hand to put some water in it.

But when I remove my hand from the burnt area, it was gone like it was never burn. It healed? I guess but how? I ran to my room and pick up the ring, I don't know why or how but I wore the ring on my index finger of my left hand. This time when I went towards the window to remove the curtain, my hand was not burn. Okay things are getting really messed up now.

I decided to go to the address. I changed into some jeans shorts and a marron shirt. I called an uber. It arrived in 10 minutes. I took my keys, some money and my phone. I lock the door behind me and got into the uber. I reached my destination in 25 minutes.

I ask the driver if it's the correct address. He replied yes. I paid him but he didn't take it. He said he can see that I am not in the right state of mind and decided to give me the ride free, to make me feel better. That was really sweet of him. I thanks' him and got out of the car. The address was of an old abandoned factory.

To be honest it was really creepy. I went inside and said "Hello! Anybody here?". There was no answer. I move around for a bit and was about to leave when someone yell my name "Hayley".

I turn around and saw a boy. He was wearing a black t-shirt, black jacket, black jeans and black shoes. Why is he wearing all black? I went towards him and asked "Are you the one that send me that note and this ring" I pointed the ring that I was wearing.

"Yes, and looks like you got to know what would happen if you didn't wear that ring. Anyway, I am Rafael. It's nice to finally meet you" he said. "At first how do you know my name and have we meet before and what is this smell?" I asked and he suddenly came and stand just in front of me.

"How did you do that? You were there and now? How?" I was incredibly confused and that smell is driving me crazy. He pulled a bag of red something from the inside of his jacket. He handed it to me and it was a blood bag, I looked at him with a confused look, I was about to say something to him but he cut me and said,

"Drink this. You must be thirsty"

"Drink? Are you crazy? I cannot drink this"

"Suit yourself"

He took the bag and open a little bit and that was it. I could feel the fangs coming out, eyes blood red, pupils black and veins sticking out under my eyes. I looked at Rafael and took the beg from him. I drank all the blood within seconds. After I was done, I looked at Rafael and said "What is happening to me?". "You are a vampire now".
