Chapter: The Manager
Welcome to SS Group, Shares department. By seeing my worried face Scarlet said, 'Manager is late today too so don't worry'. I was relieved. Thanx, I said to Scarlet to show my gratitude. She hugged me, Oh my gosh u are so cute. These guys are so ungrateful they never thanked me. Cause u always put us in trouble Scarlet, Roy said. Ahhh.. Never mind.
She just ignored Roy and my laugh left through my lips. Scarlet noticed and said Look she also agreed with me. Noo it's not like that I said. Meanwhile the same black hair guy from first floor enter in office and everyone got silence, no one was smiling, laughing or joking but a complete silence. He has an aura that make everyone silent. Good morning, everyone! He said. All of them who were joking around a while ago answered, Good morning, Sir!
He saw me and comes near and nearer, does he know I saw him getting insulted at first floor. He pull out his hand from his pocket and said, Miss James Nice to meet u. I was shocked but I pull my thoughts together and pull forward my hand. Nice to meet u…..Sir…I shake my hand nervously. We are delighted to have u, I am Harry Walsh yore manager. Whattt… this guy…. Which was looking like a loser now my manager.
After 2 hours of work I got seriously tired. I got stuck while working like every single minute, But thanks to Scarlet she was a great help. Soon the sun sets and finally I can go home. As I was leaving Scarlet grab me from my shoulder. 'Hey girl where are u going.' 'Home' I replied. She was surprised by my reply. Mr. Walsh who was standing behind Scarlet said, 'Its you're welcome party' I was surprised.
'Okay'…. Scarlet grab my arm and all the members of my department went to nearby restaurant and to my surprise it was sea food restraint. Scarlet asked me 'I m sorry I didn't ask u like sea food or not'. 'are u kidding me I love sea food' I replied excitedly'
Good to know cause Mr. Walsh is paying, Roy said. To my surprise the whole restaurant was empty, how come there any customer here. Mr. Walsh passed by me ' I reserved the whole restaurant so we can enjoy properly plus I don't like crowded places' he said. I was stunned who the hell is this guy really is?
I didn't focus on him and sat with Roy and Scarlet and gave the order. In few minutes the table was filled with various types of sea food: fried shrimp, marinated crabs spicy and boiled both, fish cakes, octopus and side dishes too. We ate a lot as I was not paying for that so I fill my will. After eating we came out of restaurant Mr. Walsh pay the bill and we were strolling on foot path.
Mr. Walsh asked, 'Ms. James, Do u live nearby? Why he's asking me that, 'No Sir I….'Then do u want me to drop u. he said. 'No Sir I have to take train and I will be at home don't worry.' I replied while keeping my guard on. 'Then u should hurry up cause it past 10'.
I look at my watch he is right. Oh Shoot! I am leaving guys. I said to Scarlet and Roy and go home. One week later, Hey Scarlet what's up, Hey girl I was waiting for u you took eternity I called u but you didn't reply. 'Sorry I see you're call but then sleep again'. 'You are hopeless' Hehe Hehe…
. I began to enjoying her company I love the way she worries about me the attention I always wanted but….'What is with you're face' she shout. Hey I have ears too. You're beautiful brown eyes have bags under them and you're hair…Come with me.
Yes Mam! I was confused why…and I got an answer when I see my face in mirror of staff room. My eyes were like I haven't slept for 3 days and my hair they were…like a baby who couldn't tie her pony tail. 'I will make u like a human sit properly' she insisted.
Mr. Walsh will be in office in any minute' I persisted. 'He's gonna be late the thing which is important right now is you're existence, Miri you're hair…..I understand what she goanna ask.
