Midni

The world knew a tale. A beautiful tale. A fairytale. . . . But was that actually so beautiful? So dreamy? Did that short summary of a phrase in her life really get a happy ending? Did Cinderella really live an happily ever after with her Prince Charming? No. The story continued.... And it continued in such a way, that people fantasizing it could never, ever imagined it like that.

TOO FINE TO BE A THEIF

Ivan walked back to his father, the King to enquire about the auspicious time for the crowning. He did not yet go to Elora , as he wanted to be crowned as the King first, and then ask her hand to be his Queen. She deserved nothing less.

---

Evelyn had by now drunk so much wine and juices, as formality with the guests that now she needed to visit the powder room. She turned to Elora and said, "Ella, I need to go to the powder room. Will you come with me, please? "

"To help you with washing?" Elora replied with humour.

Evelyn looked at her deadpanned as she pursed her lips, and then said, " Alright, you just wait for me outside. I don't want to go alone or have other annoying companion. "

As Elora waited for Evelyn, who was getting her thing done in the powder room, Elora saw a shadow like something move like a flash at the very end of the corridors, where the back garden was.

---

Evelyn came out of the powder room while straightening the crumbs on her dress, "Ella, let's go. I am done. Ella?"

But when she looked around, Elora was nowhere to be seen. Frowning she was just about to call for her again when she was interrupted by a she-wolf, "Princess Eveyln!"

Evelyn turned around to find the she-wolf bowing to her. Evelyn too smiled and nodded in return. " I wanted to approach you earlier and talk to you, but it seemed like you were busy with someone, so I waited."

Evelyn answered, "Oh? did that happen?" Evelyn knew she was talking about Elora. And she also knew this girl particularly hated Elora. Everytime during soriees and gatherings, she would never forget to speak ill about Elora. And Evelyn also knew that today the main reason for her to find her was to impress her, so that she could help her get in Ivan's good books.

As if she is going to let that happen! Here she is trying her best to get Ivan into Elora's good books! What about that!?

The she-wolf found this a great opportunity as she was away from that witch and she started, " Milady, you look so pretty today. When I saw you today, I instantly knew noone could match your spark. Didn't you notice how some people were trying to leach of some lights off you by always being around you ? They just.."

Evelyn could not hear any more and she cut in her words, "Thank you so much for the compliment. And I am sorry but I need to look for some one. Can you please help me with that?"

The lady's eyes shone as soon she thought of helping the Princess and getting noticed by the Prince. She eagerly nodded her head and said, "Anything, Milady. "

"Did you see where Elora go? I cannot find her. "

The shine was quick to disappear from the lady's eyes. And she said, " Oh, apologies, Milady. But I have not seen her. But you don't need to worry, I can accompany y.."

"Oh, it's okay. I will just see. Have a great evening. " And Evelyn walked away from her. She would rather spent the evening alone than be in an annoying company.

--

Evelyn didn't know where Elora was, she just walked through the quiet, dimly lit corridors. After walking a little, she turned back and saw that she was alone in the corridor. It was deserted as she have come quite far from the banquet hall. And the place ahead was prohibited to others except for the royal family and their close ones. And at the end of the corridors, starts the back garden.

'What would Ella do here at this time? She must have returned to the hall. ' Thinking that, she turned to go back. But after taking a couple of steps, she stopped and thought, "Maybe I should check once?"

But just when she turned around, Evelyn got trapped between some things. Shocked, she gasped, "Ahh!". But the next second, a big hand covered her mouth, making her eyes go wider.

"Shh! Princess. You are not to make a sound." Evelyn glared at the man, who looked nothing more than a black shadow, because of the darkness. And then she heard him say, "Your eyes are beautiful. Golden.... Oucchh!" He whined. Evelyn had bitten his hand, which he had closed her mouth with.

It was only then that Evelyn got to she him. He was no doubt taller than her, and had bright red eyes. Red eyes? Vampire. So he is a vampire. But she couldn't see his face as he had covered his face with a black cloth except for the eyes. And then she heard him smirk and say, "Fierce."

Evelyn stared straight into his eyes and asked, "Are you a theif?"

Hearing her, the man raised his brows, then answered after thinking, "Uhm... We have indeed come to steal something. So, I guess, yes. We could be called a theif today. "

Evelyn caught on his words and asked, "So you have got partners?"

"No, no. Partner. Only one." He corrected her and then continued. "And by the way, it is his thing to steal. He is the main one. I am just a helper!" He said with such innocence made Evelyn go dumb for a second.

She rolled her eyes at his shameless. She had never seen a more shameless thief before!

"Okay, just loosen my hands! Are you going to break my hands?!" Evelyn ordered with such a fierceness by looking straight at his eyes, that the man really got distracted and for a moment loosened her hand.

And that was enough for her to rip the cloth of his face.

And, oh my. Evelyn almost whistled. She said in a trance, "Too fine to be a theif!"
