Platinum sphere 2
Jolande, sitting alone miserably on her desk, she can't interact with objects, Lián is useless for her now, so she sits and thinks about the platinum sphere... "What is it? Real platinum or just a name?", she didn't know what Edmund's plan was, and why he would give Jolande's best friend, an overpowered sphere, questions repeated in Jolande's mind without being answered...
Leoni and Heid, together prepare themselves to assassinate Edmund without leaving a trace, they both wear ninja clothing and a folded piece of paper which lists the items they need, Leoni reads the folded paper and prepares the items with her:
concrete
water
glass cutter
crowbar
water pistol
ink
They entered the school at 18 o'clock with normal clothing, and switched clothes in the school locker room. Leoni pulled the pistol and shot a stream of ink onto the surveillance cameras, to not leave any trace of them on the cameras. They both entered the office and started to scare the principle, "Where is the platinum sphere?" Heid asked. The principle looked at his items and said, "Here it is, who are you?", without any word, they both start to beat up the principle, and torturing him until he starts crying.
They stopped the torture session and Heid shot Lián to his liver, making him die a very slow and awful death. Leoni opened the floor tiles with a crowbar, digged a trench and put Edmund there. They left Edmund to die slowly, suffocating underground, no sound, no clue that they killed him...
Heid used the cutter to cut the window and make it look as if the principle is not in the school, while Leoni re-attached the tiles by adding cement and water, there is no way someone can figure out where Edmund is at, or who killed him. Heid and Leoni successfully obtained the sphere, and escaped leaving no trace, they switched back to their normal clothing, and went back home.
Heid and Leoni video-called Jolande, and started talking, "Hi Jolande! How is it now in Sweden?", "It's all fine, what's new in Germany?". Heid started talking about the kill crime they did without anyone noticing, she explained the procedure and said, "We killed Edmund, it took really long but it's worth it".
Jolande: Okay show me the outcome, what's new?
Heid: I obtained the 'overpowered' platinum sphere, it's so friggin heavy.
Jolande: What do you expect? You're holding one of the heaviest elements on earth.
Leoni: What could this do? He only told me it's powerful.
Jolande: I don't know, but I need something to cure me from the 'Leviathan' again, I'm infected AGAIN!
Jolande described the pain she is in and said: I need a cure now, Lián is useless, muda da.
Heid: Hmmm, Helga did it again, did she make another one or is it the same?
Jolande: I suggest that she modified another one, because I don't feel temperatures again, right?
Leoni: But what if you apply Lian?
Jolande: Bruh it leaves me paralyzed for 4 hours after a full dose.
Leoni: Oh oki I didn't know haha.
Jolande: Both of you, do a research about what that sphere is, unleash its power.
Neither Leoni or Heid knew what the sphere is, but they try experimenting on it, they spin it, they shake it, they put it in cold and hot water, they drop it, and do everything with it, "What if we do it incorrectly? I don't really know, we wait" Heid suggested, which was the wisest choice; what if they do something wrong?
Jolande finished calling and now she is sitting desperately on her bed, thinking of what to do. Nothing, absolutely nothing, she doesn't think of something to solve her pain, "I'm in pain even if I think. Why did they hit my head while dreaming?".
"It's night, I will sleep, frick everything, it's only pain mentally not physically" she thought and headed to sleep without doing her routine. It's now time to see the unexpected, "Okay now where am I? I see, it's a dungeon?", Jolande walks in, and waits for something to happen.
A skeleton wearing a black cloak, walks in with a scythe, "How may I help you?", Jolande was afraid, what is he going to do? "Leave me alone please, make me leave the world of dreams!". "Your wish is granted..." and suddenly decapitates her...
Jolande wakes up unable to breathe, almost suffocating because her trachea is virtually cut now, she barely breathes, "I'm suffocating! Can I heal myself in the dream world!?", Jolande thought she might fix herself if she dreams of something that heals her, "I don't manipulate dreams what do I do?".
Jolande couldn't sleep so she tried knocking herself by falling on the floor really intensely. It worked, she slept and went looking for something to heal her, she can't breath or walk. "Am I lucid dreaming or what? I can't manipulate my dream!", Jolande kept thinking of a fountain to heal her injuries, until she finally found something better than a fountain, it's Crazy Diamond! "Josuke! Hurry up and heal me!" Jolande was very happy to see a fictional character heal her after all this she passed through.
"You're all good now!" Josuke replied, Jolande asked him to stay with her to protect her, and they stayed together all the time, until she suddenly heard a striking sound, her alarm, it was loud enough to penetrate her dreams and give her a heart attack in her dream, "How? I'm just 17 and I got a heart attack? Oh, science doesn't work in dreams anyway" these were her last thoughts, before she woke up.
When she woke up, she kept feeling very strong pain in her chest that a cardio patient would experience. She describes it as needles flowing in her heart instead of blood, very immense pain, but no effects at all.
Jolande tries to sleep again, but she can't, the pain doesn't stop, and she isn't able to relax. She immediately calls Olivia at 5 o'clock, "Olivia! Come to Adolf's home quickly!!!". Olivia saw this as an emergency alert, she didn't say anything, she put on her shoes and came to Adolf's house running.
Olivia finally arrived at Adolf's house and Sarah opened the door. Olivia went looking for Jolande, and she finally found her. "The strongest dose of Lián to my brain fast, make me sleep!" Jolande said, Olivia didn't hesitate and shocked her to sleep without causing any damage to her.
Sarah goes to Olivia and asks her about what's happening, "Why did she call you? And why are you in your underwear?" Sarah asked, Olivia replied, "Jolande said it's an emergency, ask her when she wakes up. I will sleep with her on her bed now, wake me up at 7 o'clock please".
Jolande in her dream, is having a heart attack every second, but she isn't dying. She tries to find something to heal her, but she can't find any. "Uh Josuke where are you??! I am experiencing a heart attack here!", she thinks of something, aspirin and water, aspirin may help her with her heart attack, "Aspirin c'mon, think of aspirin, a syringe and water! Where can I even look for them in this pink world?".
Jolande saw boxes falling from the sky, with aspirin and water in them, but no syringe, she thinks of scratching her skin to insert aspirin. "This is bad, is it even okay to insert it directly to the blood? Hmmm", she decided to ingest it only, which is the wisest choice.
She puts the aspirin in the water, drinks it and wait for the outcome. "A heart attack is when heart stops receiving O2 because arteries are clogged, I should be dead by now, but I'm not." Jolande concludes that she is still alive because she is not sleeping, she is in a comma now.
"Finally, aspirin has worked, it's effect is clear!", Jolande was finally able to stop the heart attack. "It was 5 o'clock when Olivia came in, but what is the time now? Oh no, school!!", Jolande will stay in the comma for 6 more hours, because the power was greater than when she was paralyzed that time.
Jolande didn't want to stay asleep, so instead, she prepared an alarm, "As soon as I called Olivia, I put an alarm for 1 hour ahead, I don't want to stay in dreamland!". After one hour passed, Jolande's iPAQ rang, she didn't wake up, but Olivia did, "Ugh, I said wake me up at 7 not 6! Oh wait! What does JoJo's alarm say?", she read what was written as a note on her iPAQ, 'Olivia, wake me up from the comma!'. Olivia now understands what she wants.
"Lián huh? Wake up Jolande!", Jolande woke up, paralyzed, she can't move but she is awake. She tried sending a Morse code message to Olivia, Olivia put her iPAQ with Morse code on, and translated Jolande's message. 'telprinciplimnotcomingtoskool', "Jeez, that took too long to write and translate!" both thought, this word is so long, Jolande had to remove some characters from it, and still roughly 100 characters remaining.
Olivia told Sarah about the school issue Jolande is facing, and called the principle to inform him. He gently accepts, but doesn't understand or believe that Jolande is paralyzed temporarily.
Later that day, Jolande contacts Heid and Leoni to know how the school is going like,
Heid: Terrible! The principle's death caused so many problems.
Jolande: How did they know he's dead anyway?
Heid: His neighbor's didn't report hearing his door open, nor his phone is answering, we broke it.
Jolande: Oooo, what you do now?
Leoni: They checked the cameras as well, they concluded that he is not in the school because the window was cut.
Heid: Our school is closed for 1 week because of his death.
Jolande: I see, what happened to the sphere? Can you send it to me somehow?
Leoni: We're not sure if we can do so without it being collected by security.
The three started thinking of a way to hide the sphere and deliver it to Jolande safely, Heid is thinking of traveling to the airport, use Lián to deflect metal detector signals away from sphere, there are no risks, but the ball, a size of a hand, weighed 12 kilos. "Where should I carry this thing?"
Heid's final thought was to either ship it, or travel with it. "Hey! Traveling now will raise suspicion on us!" Leoni said, Heid changed her thoughts later into shipping it, via DHL, because it's safer, "Fricking 30 Euros! I will pay that anyway. Jolande, you owe me..." Heid said, but Leoni remembered what Jolande owes her, her father's life, she stepped in and said, "I will pay and ship, okay?".
The next day, Leoni wrapped the sphere just in case, and it was put in a box with Styrofoam in it to avoid scratching. It was finally ready to be shipped, Leoni went to the nearest DHL office to her house, she entered Jolande's address, payed the fees and headed back home.
Leoni called Jolande and informed her the sphere is on its way to her, "Why did you want the sphere anyway?" Leoni asked, Jolande replied, "It has potential doesn't it? What if it can remove the leviathan?". Leoni thought it's impossible to do so, how can a sphere do that? It's just an alloy of platinum after all.
A week has passed and the sphere arrived at Jolande's house. Jolande unboxed it, and saw a beautiful heavy sphere made of precious metal, 400,000 Euros, all in one sphere the size of a hand. "I think this is an alloy, I weighed it and it's 1 kg heavier than it should be", Jolande tried to know what that alloy is, what can it do? Is it the way to remove the leviathan from her?
She doesn't know what to do with it, and there is no way to know what to do with it. After Sarah is home, Jolande introduced the sphere to her, "Wow is that pure platinum? It must be soo heavy!", Jolande replied, "It's an alloy of platinum I see. As I know, platinum alloys are rarely used". Sarah said, "So what do you think? Google it, we need answers".
Jolande tried googling 'properties of platinum alloys', 'alloys of platinum', and read through results. She didn't find any good article, but she knew that platinum alloys are mostly platinum-iridium alloys, and maybe other precious metals as well.
"There is no way to find an answer on the internet, I will figure it out myself", Jolande is unable to find the answer to how to use this mysterious ball. Later that day, Sarah found some interesting physics articles in a magazine about MRI scans, "... MRI scanning works by superconductivity, when you cool a metal down to nearly absolute zero, it looses all its electrical resistance, platinum, iron and other alloys of metals are used for this mean". Sarah didn't understand and went to ask Jolande what this was.
Jolande's mind went black for a second after she read 'Platinum alloys' in the text. She thought that she has to cool down the platinum alloy to 20 Kelvin somehow. Adolf stepped in and suggested that they go to a helium cooling factory, where they can cool helium down to 4 kelvin, luckily, there was a factory which is several kilometers away from them.
Adolf and the others prepared to leave and arrive there by car, Jolande took the sphere with her and was ready to go to the factory. After 15 minutes, they arrived at the factory and went looking for someone to cool their sphere at. Adolf met a friend he knows that works there, and asked him to cool the sphere for him, luckily, they accepted but they had to pay 30 euros to do so.
After reaching below 4 Kelvin, Jolande tried to investigate what could happen if she applied Lián. Unfortunately, she can't produce Lián, and Olivia can't come to her now, "What we do? We need Olivia now" Jolande said. But that doesn't stop them from trying other things as well, Jolande tried to smash it with a heavy hammer, scratch it, and throw it. Nothing happened, the sphere was perfectly fine.
The three were amazed to see that, is it storing energy in some way? Sarah didn't know what is happening but she hypothesized, "Probably its power is to store and manipulate energy?", Jolande didn't agree and said, "You can't manipulate energy, but this sphere might be storing energy when it's in its superconductivity state".
"I think it might control energy, could that be its power? Try and spin it" was Adolf's friend's suggestion, it wasn't wrong, but he needed a proof, so he put a 9-volt battery to its side and spinned the sphere so quickly that it looked like a spiral galaxy with the trails of condensing oxygen on it's sides. After spinning, another trail of yellow appeared, which was coming from the battery towards the sphere, this partially confirmed the theory of Adolf's friend.
"What happens to the energy?" Sarah asked, which raised more questions. Jolande suggested that they try and plug a light bulb with the battery to see if it lights up, and it didn't. They also heated the alloy till it reached 290 Kelvin or 20 degrees Celsius, and the unexpected happened. The ball started to spin very fast, and suddenly exploded.
The four were propelled back with a cloud of smoke surrounding them, the explosion was immense. Jolande thought that the ball disappeared, "Is this it?". Sarah steps up and goes to check the sphere and surprisingly, it was there undamaged, perfectly fine.
Jolande thinks of a way to get rid of the leviathan using this sphere, "We can use energy and direct it to kill or extract the leviathan!", Jolande was saying this faithfully, wishing to get rid of the leviathan.
They cool the sphere once again and learn how to use it more properly, Adolf realised that the energy must be released before heating it. Jolande suggested they convert the energy into either electrical or chemical energy afterwards.
Adolf's friend cooled it with liquid helium, and now the sphere is spinning, 50 rounds per minute, 10 Kelvin, Sarah held the sphere with her barehand, but nothing surprisingly happens, "What power does this hold? Why isn't it cooling my hand?". Sarah was astonished, but the explanation was, in superconductivity, there is no friction, and no resistance at all, metals become 100% energy efficient.
Sarah pointed at Jolande's neck and with only thinking, she extracted the organism and described it as, "All I did is pointing the ball at Jolande's cervix and virtually aimed at the leviathan". Jolande also describes it as, "Infinite orgasm with a very strong effect", it was relaxing to both girls.
Sarah knew how to use the ball, so she immediately converts the energy into a power cell. Adolf's friend said, "The amount of energy it gained from the leviathan is E=mc². Knowing the amount of energy in the cell will tell us the mass of the organism".
Although Jolande lost the ability to interact with waves, but she is happy to get rid of the leviathan. If Helga knew, she will probably make another organism that bonds with her spine and in order to remove it, you remove the spine as well, who knows...
The three finished their mission and headed back home with the sphere. After 3 hours they finally returned back home, tired, and sleepy. Jolande can finally rest in peace, "Finally? Can I sleep? Let's sleep good night all" she said and everyone went to sleep, it's 21 o'clock and the sun already set off.
