Try before Trusting...

"Are they here?" Kevin stood quietly and contemplated. Mia was focusing on the paperclip in her hand. Picking a lock was a cakewalk for her but after being beaten to death and running for half a mile without even a single break, she didn't have any strength left to put pressure on the lock.

"They are here, right?" He looked fixedly at her. Mia let out an irritated moan and glanced at Kevin. Before Kevin could open his mouth to utter another word she quickly turned her eyes away. Her legs were giving up and the fact that Ida died to save her was continuously plaguing her mind.

She pushed the door inside and let all her weight on the knob. Slowly, she stepped aside making way for Kevin to enter.

Kevin pouted as he had got an eyeful of Mia's dreadful condition. He wanted to help her but deep down he knew that he can't do anything to make her feel better. And as a matter of fact, he himself was not in a sound condition either.
