Stain.

(POV Lady Nagant)

When I walked through the front door I saw the man that assigned me my job standing there with a squint.

I guess he saw my smile or maybe he heard something?

"Why are you squinting?"

"Did you get your job done? Ah, who am I kidding you wouldn't be alive right now if you didn't" The man said with a big smile, that same smile always sends chills down my spine.

"Actually.. I didn't, he let me go." I revealed, his smile vanished almost immediately which let me know that it was fake.

"Why did you come back then? He gave you another chance to kill him and you just left!? You're better then this! Why would I want such a useless result as you surviving!?" The man just ranted on and on about how useless I was and he should get rid of me.

My smile vanished and I was now back to frowning.

"Yes, I will do better." I replied, the man looked at me for a few seconds before he sighed and said.

"Yeah you will do better, because if you don't you can kiss your hero work goodbye!" The man stated and turned to walk away.

'I really want to get out of here..'

(Kira PoV)

I'm currently surrounded by dead bodies of the same Ninja group that came after me the day I ran into Lady Nagant.

"Great, I have to switch warehouses again.."

I vanished from my spot and appeared 2 buildings away. I looked to my left and to my right, and ultimately decided on going to the right that leads closer to the more populated part of the city.

As I was running I noticed a man in a all white armor type suit, and he had engines coming out of his legs.

'Isn't that Ida's brother?' I thought while I followed behind him closely and silently, I noticed that he had his sidekicks with them all though they were farther behind him since he's faster.

"AHHH!" I heard a scream, but I didn't really care and I kept tailing after Ingenium, but seems he's more compassionate about human lives. He whipped his head around to where he heard the scream, and took off in a dash using his engines.

'Great.. Why couldn't he just use his regular speed..' I sped up as well, but just enough that I was still behind him.

"Where are you!?" Ingenium asked, he stopped in a alley way that was dark and quiet..

"Very commendable of you to rush here without any backup." A voice was heard, and it was coming from the darkest corner of the alleyway, I looked over because I was curious and I saw a very familiar man.

'Haha, just the one I needed!' I was smiling on the outside though.

(POV Ingenium)

"Who are you!? Show yourself villain!" I exclaimed.

I might sound confident, but in actuality I'm nervous and scared, the feeling this person give's off is heavy, and intimidating.

"Don't mak-" I was cut off by a shining glint of metal, I couldn't move in time and I was stabbed on my shoulder by what looks like a combat knife.

"Guh!" I jumped back while simultaneously yanking out the knife that was lodged in my left shoulder.

A clinking noise was heard from the fallen knife that reverberated around the walls of the alleyway, I started backing up, as I was sweating, and scared.

"Why are you trying to run? Didn't you hear a scream from somebody who needed help? This is why fake's like you need to die!" I heard a voice say, but the voice was angry and disappointed , I turned to run but I felt this weird cover my body, and I fell down to the ground unable to move.

I turned my head with great difficulty, and I saw a man that had a dark red scarf, along with tan head ban that had 2 holes in the middle for what I guess was the mans eyes. He hadn't had a nose, and he had a sharp triangular jaw, he walked towards me with a hunch in his back as he licked the knife that held my blood from my shoulder.

"I-it's you! The hero killer!"

He just laughed at me. I was scared, I had a brother back home that I wanted to get back to.

'But what would he think of me if I were to run away now?' I looked back up with determination flashing in my eyes, I tried and struggled to get up, but it was all futile as my impending death was right in front of me.

I closed my eyes, and just accepted it as my fate to die to this man tonight..

"Haha! What hero would accept his death as easily as this?! You're a fake! You didn't even check if there was a civilian or another hero in this alleyway! All you did was focus fully on me!" The hero killer known as Stain explained my mistakes while laughing.

'H-he's right.. I didn't check around.. I didn't make sure the area was cleared..' A tear fell from my eye.

'Sorry Ida, seems I won't be able to come home tonight.'

SLASH!

"AHHGH!" I felt it as he cut my legs, he kept cutting until his was about to hit bone, and then he stopped and moved to the other leg.

SLASH!

"AHHHHH!" The pain I felt was immeasurable, the feeling of having your legs get cut open, feeling the blood pour out of your body as you slowly die was a terrible feeling.

I looked up to my assailant, and saw that he was smiling brightly as he moved his sword towards my lower back.

"N-no! Please!" I pleaded, I didn't want to be paralyzed. If i were then my hero career would never be able to recover, I wasn't ready for that yet.

"HAHA!" He just laughed as he stabbed his blade unto my spine, I felt the pain in my back spread all across my body, until my legs went limp and I couldn't feel it anymore.

'Sorry... Ida...' Those were my last thoughts as i slowly lost my consciousness, but before I closed them fully I saw a man with snow white hair and piercing red eyes appear from seemingly out of nowhere.

(Kira POV.)

I watched as Stain basically tortured Ingenium, and I gotta say.. That shit was weak as fuck, like bruh cut off a toe or two, maybe a hand?

'Eh whatever. Let's get this over with.'

I vanished from my spot and appeared behind Stain, and I tapped his shoulder.

"Hey." He jumped and immediately put up his guard, he glared daggers at me before he spoke.

"Who- Ah! It's you! The one thats been gaining fame recently!" He looked a little shocked to see me, but then he tensed up even more as I watched his eyes scan the area we were in, most likely looking for escape routes.

'To bad I'm the one who came looking for him.' I smirked, but I quickly hid it as I don't want this plan of mine to fail before it even starts.

"What are you doing here? What do you want?" He questioned me, I look at him for a bit and closed my eyes.

"I want to suggest a partnership of sorts." I opened my left eye only and I saw that he was surprised and suspicious.

'All good reactions so far, except for the surprised look he has, but we can fix that up with a little training..'

"What can you even offer me? I'm not looking to gain fame for being known as a partner with the most notorious villain in Japan. So tell me Kira, what is it that you want from me." He asked with squinted eyes, and I looked him in the eyes and smiled.

"I want your skill set, and I need a loyal partner."

Here ya go, I actually wrote this chapter before I announced my break, and now that I'm back I just finished this up and yeah.

I could have Kira do everything himself, but that would waste time and having a team with specific skill sets that he's looking for would greatly speed up his plans.
