Shadow in shadow 2

The second game had just ended, and Nemo watched Midnight as she was drawing lots for the final game, which was the tournament. Suddenly, someone raised their hand. It was Ojiro.

Ojiro: "I would like to withdraw from this tournament."

Everyone began to look at him strangely. Who would voluntarily withdraw themselves?

Ojiro: "I hardly remember the Cavalry Battle at all."

So Midnight started drawing lots, and the board was open.

Nemo started looking for her name. She spotted it and saw that she was up against Kirishima. Then Nemo was called by Kaminari, saying that Aizawa needed something from them. When she arrived, all the girls from Class 1A were standing there, along with Mineta.

Kaminari: "Teacher Aizawa said it's important to show instant support. He asked us if the girls could dress up as cheerleaders and start supporting the others."

Mineta quickly started nodding. The girls began to change, except for Nemo, who looked at them incredulously.

Nemo: 'Aizawa and such positive support? These two things don't go together.'

So Nemo quickly left the room and wanted nothing to do with it.

The girls from Class 1A rushed outside, except for Nemo. She hid in a room and started resting there.

After a few rest games, the third and final game began. The first match was Midoriya vs. Shinso.

As they stepped onto the stage, Midnight initiated the start. Shinso started provoking Midoriya.

Nemo: 'It's completely obvious what he wants to do, a clear provocation. Only an idiot would fall for this.'

Aaaaaand, Midoriya fell for it.

Nemo: 'That idiotic Broccoli.'

Nemo immediately recognized what had happened; someone had started controlling him, and who else but the one he was up against.

Midoriya slowly started stepping off the platform. He slowly walked, and the students from our class started shouting at him. Midoriya was reaching the end of the platform, and suddenly, everyone felt the wind; Shinso looked at Midoriya in astonishment.

Shinso: "How? What did you do?"

Midoriya grabbed his mouth and glared at Shinso.

Shinso ran towards him and hit him. Midoriya grabbed his outstretched arm and flipped him over.

Midnight: "Shinso out of the platform. Winner is Izuku Midoriya."

Nemo started looking at Midoriya's finger.

Uraraka: "Phew, that was close."

The next round was up, and Todoroki emerged from the tunnel, looking less than thrilled. He seemed angry.

The next match was Todoroki vs. Sero. Both entered the platform.

Midnight: "Start."

And within a second, it was over.

Nemo looked at the huge piece of ice that stretched across the entire stadium. Nemo started clenching her fists.

Nemo: 'Could I overcome this somehow?'

Todoroki went to the frozen Sero and started melting him.

Todoroki: "Sorry, I overdid it a bit."

Nemo started being in her own world, wondering if she would be able to fight against that. The more she thought about it, the more her face looked gloomy.

As she woke up, she realized it would be her turn soon. Suddenly, she felt something vibrating in her pocket. Nemo took out her phone, and someone was calling her, someone unexpected. It was her father. Nemo headed towards a room where she could be alone.

Nemo: "Stay calm, slow breath in and out. He's just calling you, you can handle this."

Nemo pressed the green button.

Nemo: "Hi, Dad, were you watching TV? I made it pretty far."

Father: "Nemo, drop out."

Nemo: "But why? I made it to the final game!"

Father: "We both know you won't make it. You don't stand a chance. The best thing for both of us is to give up. I don't want you embarrassing me with your loss."

The call ended, and Nemo stood there motionless. Her hair covering her face.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, she threw her phone against the wall.

Nemo: "DAMN IT, DAMN IT, DAMN IT."

This was too much for Nemo, and she couldn't contain it. She was angry and sad, wanting to cry. And she did cry for a while.

Nemo didn't notice that someone was eavesdropping on her. It was Uraraka, and she didn't mean to. She just overheard Nemo talking to someone.

...

Kirishima entered the stadium and stepped onto the platform, waiting for his opponent Anemo Nemo. Who hadn't come out yet. He was a bit confused because no one was coming out. And then Nemo started walking into the stadium and onto the platform.

Her head bowed, her hair covering her face.

Kirishima: "Anemo-san, I hope you'll give me a good fight."

Kirishima's body began to harden using his Quirk.

Nemo: "..."

But Nemo stood there motionlessly and didn't reply

Midnight looked at both fighters. As she looked at Nemo, she had a strange feeling.

Midnight: "Start."

Kirishima ran towards Nemo.

Nemo stood still and was looking at the ground.

Kirishima kept running straight. Two meters from Nemo, he stopped.

Kirishima: "Again?"

Suddenly Kirishima hit himself with his fist.

P.Mic: "What's happening? It looks like Kirishima punched himself."

Kirishima hit himself again.

During the next five minutes, Kirishima kept hitting himself.

It was a terrible sight for everyone.

Iida: "Isn't this a bit too much? How is she even doing that?"

Midoriya didn't like it either; he figured out some parts of Nemo's Quirk.

Midoriya: "L-look at the ground, Iida-kun."

Everyone around Midoriya, who heard him, looked at the ground and saw a black line. Connecting Nemo to Kirishima.

Kirishima collapsed to the ground.

Midnight: "Kirishima was knocked out. The winner is Anemo Nemo."

No one applauded or cheered for her. This was far from heroic.

Nemo turned around and went back to the locker room; she didn't want to see anyone. Or talk to anyone. So she went and hid in a room.

But in the hallway, she met Uraraka and Midoriya.

Uraraka: "Anemo-san, are you okay?"

Nemo: "I'm not in the mood, get out of my way."

Mina also rushed to the scene.

Mina: "Nemo-chan, what's wrong?"

Nemo: "Leave me alone!"

Nemo began to run away, hiding in one of the rooms. Once again, her phone buzzed, and once again, it was her father calling. Nemo did nothing but cry. All the emotions that had accumulated in her over all those years began to bubble up inside her.
