20: One Vs. One (II)

"All righty. Start!!!"
...
"May the Lord be with you." said Ibara.
"Uhhh, thank you...? Anyways, let's start!"
Mina slides towards Ibara with haste. Ibara remains still, and once Mina gets close, she turns around and summons a wall of vines.
Mina attempts to douse the wall with her acid but couldn't as Ibara takes the chance and wraps Mina in her vines.
"Ehh!??" The pink-skinned girl exclaimed as she ascended to the air.
"The round will end if the contestant cannot escape in 10 seconds." Cementoss informed everyone.
Mina noticed that her hands weren't wrapped, so she splashed acid on the vines.
The vines began to rot and Mina was able to break free.
"You were able to break free from them?..." asked Ibara when she peeked behind her wall.
She quickly sends vines under the ground hoping to wrap her opponent again.
But Mina doesn't stay idle and slides around the stage using her quirk. Ibara fails to catch Mina as she was sliding with great speed.
Mina comes close to Ibara again but this time, with acid flowing out of her hands. Ibara summons yet another wall of vines, making the previous wall wider. Ibara was waiting for Mina to stop again so that she can wrap her.
But Mina takes the flowing acid from her hands and splashes it towards the wall. She slides away from the wall and once she notices that the vines started to rot, she dashes to the wall and tackles a rotten part of it.
She breaks through the rotten patch and she catches Ibara off guard. Not wanting to be wrapped in vines again, Mina takes the chance to uppercut Ibara.
Her opponent flies back a few centimeters and she quickly grabs Ibara, dragging her out of bounds.
"Ibara Shiozaki is out of bounds! Mina Ashido wins!" announced Midnight.
The crowd cheers at the two teens then Mina smiles and makes a peace sign with her fingers.
After that, she quickly helps Ibara up.
"I'm sorry for punching you..." Mina apologized as she scratched her cheek.
"It's quite all right, fellow student. I must go now... Farewell." the vine-haired girl replied. She quickly heads to the hallway.
"Uhm..."
...
"Congrats for winning, Mina/Ashido-san!!!" shouted almost all of Class A.
"Good fight, Mina-san!" said Toru
"Hehe, thank you everybody!!" replies Mina with a toothy smile.
"Also, did Momo-san already go?" asked the pink-skinned girl.
"Yes." responded Akira as he was getting up. Midoriya did the same.
...
Akira went out into the passageway to go to the Waiting Rooms. He passed by Midoriya going there too, albeit to a different room.
...
He arrives at Waiting Room A and knocks on the door.
"Momo-san? It's Akira..." he says.
She replies, "Eh? Come in, Akira-san..."
"I just wanted to tell you Good luck because I couldn't earlier... You left so quickly..." the boy states.
"Thank you... But to be honest, I'm very nervous..." she replies, anxiously.
The boy smiles and says, "I am 100% sure that you'll do amazing, Momo-san. I just have one piece of advice..."
"W-what is it...?"
"Whenever you're in a tough spot out there... Remember to think calmly, like you always do. That's what I do..." the boy says.
"I-I see... I'll keep that in mind, Akira-san. Thank you..."
"All right then... I have to go, I think it's about to start. Good luck and think calmly, Momo-san." Akira tells her with a smile.

{Akira POV}
Hmm... I should probably go to Uraraka too...
Oh? Midoriya?
"Hey, Midoriya-san." I call out the boy.
"Huh? Oh! Hi, Takumi-san." he replies.
"How was Uraraka? Was she nervous?" I ask him.
He responds raising his notebook, "Uh... Well, I think she was... I was going to give her some battle tactics against Momo-san... But she didn't want them..."
"I see..."
"Welcome back, folks! It's time for the next round!" I hear Present Mic shout from outside.
"We should probably go back if we want to see the match." I inform him.
...
{General POV}
"WE HAVE STUDENTS BOTH FROM CLASS A!!! THE VERSATILE CREATOR, IT'S MOMO YAOYOROZU!!! VERSUS, THE PHYSICS-DEFYING GIRL, IT'S OCHAKO URARAKA!!!"
"Are both of you ready?" asked Cementoss. And both the girls nod.
"Begin!"
"Please go easy on me, Momo-san." said Uraraka with an uneasy smile.
"Please go easy on me too..." Momo replies.
...
Uraraka sprints towards Momo with her hands raised.
Momo creates a shield and a staff.
'Be calm... Stay calm...' reminded Momo herself inwardly.
Once Uraraka gets close, Momo attacks her on the stomach. Uraraka whimpers but she persists and touches the staff, and then the shield.
As the weapons float, Momo releases her hold on them with a nervous face. Uraraka takes the chance to slap Momo's arm, making her float.
"U-uh. N-no!" exclaimed Momo.
'When you're in a tough spot out there... Remember to think calmly, like you always do.' she remembers.
As she was floating upwards, she inhales. After exhaling, she now has a more calm face.
'Okay... How do I go down...?' she ponders.
"Ochako Uraraka wins if Momo Yaoyorozu is not able to get down in 10 seconds." Cementoss reminded everyone.
'I got it!' exclaimed Momo inwardly.
Momo materializes some sort of a grenade and then drops it down to Uraraka.
Her opponent backs away and protects herself, expecting an explosion but a flash of blinding light releases from it.
Uraraka was momentarily blinded and Momo takes this chance to create a modified grappling gun. She shoots it towards the ground. Once she arrives on the ground she creates a taser. She aims it towards Uraraka and shoots.
As a crackling sound was heard, a scream followed. Due to the taser, Uraraka flinches and falls back. But she hits her head on the ground, knocking herself out. And because of this, Momo finally stops floating.
"Ochako Uraraka has been knocked out. Momo Yaoyorozu wins!!!" announced Midnight.
The spectators cheered and the contestant sighs.
Momo hastily helps her classmate up onto the stretcher the robots were carrying.
"Stupid humans. Weak humans." she overhears the robots say.
