Chapter 18: Insights

The sound of the bell rang signalling every student that school hours are over as every student from the class were eventually filled with noise's of every kind. The teacher fixing the stack of paper's on his hand speak to the whole class while maintain his gaze to the exam papers.

" Okay class settle down. Look I know school is over and all of you are excited for this summer but I'm here to remind you that from here on out you'll be moving forward. You'll need to think about your future if you want to succeed in life and these papers is one of many factor that will determine that. With that said I wish you all good luck for the printouts that I'll be giving you after lunch and hope that all you managed to get accepted in your Ideal life course's "

The whole class erupted in a loud ear shattering cheer as most of the class use's there quirk in celebration. The teacher emmidiently shut them up and remind them about the school rules for using quirks in class before he leaves with the exam paper's. He and the rest of the teachers would have a field day checking all these exam papers as he himself couldn't wait for summer to start. 

He didn't have to ask himself what his students life course's would be as he can already guess that all of them would want to be heroes. It was the most common goal after all ever since the existence of quirks.

Once he left the class most of the students begin packing there bags for lunch. Izuku is one of the students who stayed behind as he was still nervous about his up coming result. 

As he pondered whether or not he manage to successfully apply to UA he notice his bag moving. The zipper slide itself open as a purple tail came out infront of Izuku before going back in to hand out a cloth covered lunch box.

" Zip! "

" Hey are you going to eat or are you just going to sit there? "

Catnap said popping out of Izuku's half open bag alongside Dogday. Izuku finally calming down takes his lunch box and open it as he said.

" Thanks Catnap. Sorry I was just a little worried. So ready to eat?"

" Took you long enough we're starving in here "

Catnap said as he grabs Dogday and lift himself towards Izuku's table using his tail. Izuku made room for them to sit on his table while he open's his lunch box and left some food for them to eat. The students who are still in class notice the two alive plushie toys as they couldn't help but to watch them in adoration.

" My god those two look cute! "

" Yeah good thing Izuku is allowed to bring them along "

" I just want to pet them so much God I wish my quirk was like that "

A few girls whispered to each other as they kinda adore Catnap and Dogday. There cute appearance and small stature is something that most people find adorable. All of the students in Izuku's class already know Catnap and Dogday is his quirk. While a few of them mostly girls find Izuku's quirk to be adorable some find his quirk weak.

They would often try every opportunity they got to bully Izuku for having a ' weak ' quirk in there eye's. They thought that it would be easy bullying Izuku since his quirk can only summon two alive plushie but oh god they were wrong.

As soon as they try to attempt ganging up on Izuku or even planning anything malicious in his back Catnap and Dogday who is always close to him would beat them up.

With Catnap using his red smoke to knock them unconscious and Dogday transformering himself back to his 9 ft tall figure to teach them a lesson is enough for Izuku's bullies to think twice for even making move.

Because of Dogday and Catnap's protection and demonstration of power it gave Izuku a chance to be considered socially acceptable in his classmates eye's.... Except for Bakugo. 

As Catnap and Dogday eat and enjoy there lunch Izuku on the other hand has been writing on his notebook while also taking a bite on his lunch. 

Dogday peaked at what was Izuku's writing as he saw a crude drawing of him both in his plushie form and monster form with explanation regarding his height abilities, capabilities, weaknesses etc.

" You still haven't finish with that? "

" No I'm still haven't written down more of the advantages you get with your quirk. Who knows maybe we can figure out more variety of what else we can use your regeneration quirk "

Izuku said while munching on his lunch as he showed his analysis on Dogday. He couldn't help but to be proud with many of his analysis about heroe's since his been doing this since his six.

He would often update the information about his quirk and even other heroes as the more older he gets the more knowladge and interest he gets by observing quirks. 

Dogday stared and read about Izuku's analysis about him. The full on detail about his regenerative abilities, his height, eating habits, behavior and everything about him were so spot on that his impressed for Izuku.

And also creeped out on how accurate Izuku manage to have so much information about him. 

But none the less he let it slide since he knew what type of person Izuku is throughout his childhood.

Dogday complimented Izuku's analysis about him as Izuku couldn't help but to smile. He looked at Dogday and Catnap eating with him as he stared down his notebook and ask them.

" Hey Dogday, Catnap do you think I would have a shot at becoming a hero? "

Catnap and Dogday stopped for a second and turn there head's to look at Izuku. Where Catnap replied.

" Why are you asking? "

" Well it's just that you two have been protecting me throughout my childhood. You two made sure that I wasn't bullied at school and even took care of me when mom's out for work. It's increadibly how strong you two are that..... I don't know if I could even survive by myself..... Could I really be a hero if I have someone that are constantly saving me all the time. "

He said sharing his thoughts as Catnap and Dogday look at each. Sure there Izuku's quirk but sometimes Izuku felt vulnerable whenever they aren't around. He doesn't know why that's the case as there something deep within his phychi that tells him that his weak and powerless without them.

He couldn't imagine what he could do if he were to be seperated from Catnap and Dogday. Dogday turn to Izuku's silence as he walks towards him and patted him on his arm and said.

" Izuku the reason why we protect you is because we wanted to. Not just because your weak it's because you accepted us as your family and we'll make sure that in return you and your mom would be happy " 

" Yeah we don't really get the entire hero thing but were your quirk right? So it's only natural for you to use us as your quirk "

Catnap and Dogday said trying to encourage Izuku through there words. He thought for a moment as he suddenly came to this realization.

" I see.... I never thought about that. You two just feel like actual people that I kinda forget your two are my quirk "

" Well good to know that you thought if us like that "

Catnap said as he bites down one last piece of tempura on Izuku's lunch box. Izuku couldn't help but to enlightened a bit as his thoughts of himself as being weak is slowly wash away. Although he doesn't have a quirk that could be considered as flashy it's enough that he could use it to protect anyone other than him.

He suddenly got some inspiration from his thoughts as he went back to his notebook to finish Dogday's analysis before flipping the page and begin's to draw.

Since they're his quirk Izuku tries to thought of a way so that he could conviniently carry them. He started to design some pockets and bags that could perfectly fit them as well as light weighted enough to move around.

He would even thought of using his quirk to summon a smiling critter since it's been ten years since he ever summon one.

He never actually thought of summoning one since his way too focus on Catnap, Dogday and other heroe's quirks that he forgot about the summoning part of his quirk.

Though Izuku found it off that Catnap and Dogday said that his quirk to be something similar to summoning he didn't know exactly why.

He tried asking Catnap and Dogday back then but all he got were silence as he remembered that they don't want you talk about it. 

It was Izuku's first time to seeing them relunctant to talk about why his quirk was considered summoning to Dogday and Catnap as he didn't brought it up to them for years. They might not want to talk about it but Izuku was patient and caring enough to respect there refusal.

Minutes pass as lunch was eventually over. Students came in class by the sound of the bell as they all took there sit's waiting and even talking to pass the time. 

The teacher eventually came in as he holds pieces of paper with him. He arrive at his desk as he stare at the class.

" Ehem okay class here are the course application. Once I gave these papers to you all of you can choose to leave my class. If you have any complaints you can talk to it to the principal to talk about a re-examination "

He said with no expectations from his eyes as he walk to each row of seat's to give them the application. Izuku looks ahead as each step from the teacher felt like a heavy burden in his chest.

He thought that he might not be able to pass his application as nervous tension rise by the time the teacher walk by his seat. He put a piece of paper at Izuku's desk as he saw that on his application there was an approved blue stamp on the bottom.

Izuku's eyes shine as he felt excited seeing that he got accepted application to UA. The teacher didn't look at his way as he walk to the other students. Most of Izuku's classmates reaction once they got there application were either in disbelief or sigh's of dissapointment as it was obvious that they didn't got an accepted application to UA.

The teacher doesn't care about the dissapointed face's of his students since he knows that they could either choose a different hero school or a different course altogether since he knows that UA is pretty hard hero school to get in unless you put on the hard work.

Izuku couldn't help but to open his bag so that he could show his accepted application to Catnap and Dogday. They both made a thumbs up at Izuku and even whisper some congratulations.

Izuku's couldn't help but to secretly thank them as he believes that he couldn't got this far without there help. Izuku look back at his accepted application feeling as if this was his big step to becoming a hero.

Heroes we're searching around the city as they started to form a manhunt to search for a runaway villain. At an alleyway further from the heroe's reach something that is fluidic and slime like was moving towards the sewers. 

It was trying to figure out where the perfect place to hide as he keeps his eyes not only at the heroe's but also a man with a large and muscular physic as he knows he couldn't afford to get cought by him.

He moves through the sewers quietly trying his best to find a perfect spot for him to hide.

Hi for all the questions in this AU Bakugo didn't bully Izuku much since Izuku isn't quirkless. Infact he didn't actually acknowledge Izuku's existence since he still view him as any other background character in his main character syndrome
