42 Chapter 40: Absorbing the Origin Faction

'He really put his all into this performance.' Shin thought to himself while curiously watching Atsuhiro's broadcast.

Shin's only part in this performance was exploding a building whenever he clenched one of his fists and if he clenched both of them that meant to blow everything all together.

"Drama queen." Dabi whispered to himself while clicking his tongue as he crossed his arms.

Shin and Dabi were the only people in the room that remained calm while this situation was transpiring as the others all had varying expressions though each of them were dire.

"I am Fusao Shima, a loyal servant of my goddess, and I thank you for your time."

The room remained quiet not from the performance but instead their attention turned towards the explosions halfway through.

"My god." Arashi rubbed his bald head as he gazed out the window seeing the accumulated black smoke start to slowly fill up the sky.

'Well done Atsuhiro.' Shin inwardly praised seeing the horrifying expression plastered on everyone's faces.

Shin turned his gaze outside following in suit with everyone else, and even though he saw the mass destruction that would result in the deaths of hundreds, maybe thousands of people, Shin honestly didn't really feel anything.

Even in his first life Shin rarely felt emotions like regret, sympathy, or sadness and once he entered the business world it greatly lessened as he traded it all for his ambitions.

Shin also forgot when, but the loss of human life started to slowly numb as now he basically felt nothing whenever he took someone's last breath.

He knew that reacting like this seemed cruel to humanities standards, and everything he's done so far would classify him as a horrible person, and at the end of the day he could have developed his plans that in turn would make it more difficult for himself so as to not involve any 'innocent' people.

But why would he make things harder for himself?

Shin wasn't a fairy tale hero who strived to save everyone because in reality Shin was selfish, his mindset consisted of only thoughts on how things would benefit himself, and an event like this would numerously benefit him.

On top of having a perfect smokescreen, Shin also had a perfect ground for gathering quirks.

What better way to condense Heroes into one place than to forcefully expose them to a dire situation that requires them to save the citizens they so 'desperately' want to protect from a natural disaster which would result in a countless number of heroes gathering without Shin having to go too out of his way.

The reason as to why he wasn't going out of his way to copy the powers of heroes in the first place was because of one single thing, it was time consuming.

Shin already had enough on his plate so rather than going to different hero agencies one by one or having his subordinates bring them here was because it was too much of a hassle.

Come back to the compound - Shin

"How could someone do this?" Araki shakily put both of her hands above her mouth, her eyes slowly started to tear up as a mushroom cloud slowly reflected in her pupils.

*Beep*

Of course! On another note, what did you think of my performance? - Atsuhiro

"Doctor what are you doing?" Hari who finally managed to turn his gaze from the disaster unfolding upon Musutafu suddenly questioned after seeing Shin on his phone.

"I was checking it because I wanted to know my subordinates location and sadly enough Mr. Compress had been caught up in the explosion." Shin lied as Hari flinched and Dabi glared at him.

"Is he okay?!?" Araki ran up to him in a hurry and Shin smiled.

"He's alright but he might have a slight concussion." Shin continued the lie as Araki showed a depressed look.

"I'm glad he's ok." Arashi showed some relief that one of Shin's subordinates didn't suffer too much under the attack that was currently occupying her whole train of thought.

"Oyabun." Shin suddenly spoke out, jarring Shie out of his trance.

"Y-Yes?" Shie turned his head to see Shin's serious gaze.

"I understand everything unfolding upon Musutafu right now which is a travesty, but I still want to know if your orders still stand." Shin spoke and once he did the gazes slowly turned towards Shie.

Silence ensued as they all waited for his answer since even though this decision was difficult it was still his to make.

On one hand held his code and morals that coincides in this moment with helping the innocent citizens but on the other hand held a chance to finally reunite his Yakuza.

The collective gazes didn't give him a concise answer on which direction to take revealing Shie to thoroughly think of a reasonable solution.

'Reunite' This word suddenly resounded in his mind just before he could utter his true thoughts.

The words about to reverberate from his vocal cords stopped as he slowly closed his mouth to rethink it once more, at every chance it seemed like his subconscious edged him on he became firm.

"Doctor, unite the Yakuza." Shie with a heavy heart decided to set aside his beliefs for his Yakuza causing him to grit his teeth.

With all these events coinciding, Shie felt so many emotions though all of them were aimed towards himself as they slowly started to tear his subconscious.

All his close aides nodded deeply at his decision since in the end even if they deeply admired his philosophies they were Yakuza first and foremost.

"Yes Oyabun." Shin bowed while a light flashed in his eyes only to disappear once he stood up.

"Get everyone ready, we leave at once." Shin ordered as the others all nodded to get their division prepared to follow Shin.

"Sh-Doctor, are you really going to leave?" Araki suddenly grabbed his coat right before he could think of taking a step.

"Araki." Shin gently spoke as he slowly took her hand, releasing from his coat.

"I'll be fine, trust me." Shin reassured her as she let him pry her hands off of him without any form of resistance, deciding to trust his words.

Shin gave her a reassuring smile that eased her heart as he walked out the door with Dabi trailing behind, and once he did his face changed into a plain one.

"Where are the locations of these old fogies?" Dabi asked from his side while scratching his neck matching his expression.

Stars formed in his eyes while he gazed in two certain directions before his eyes returned to normal.

"All elders are at their main compounds like originally planned." Shin smiled since when he messed with their minds, along with making them unreasonable during this time he had them all gathered up.

"Anyone strong? I feel that my flames have gotten better with amplify, but it's been a while since I could use them practically and with you being busy, and I cant use them on the first division without, y'know." Dabi turned his head towards Shin who nodded.

"There's a handful of decently strong quirk users that each faction lured in with money and other tempting things but in terms of the strength then the adapting faction is in line for the fight you're looking for." Shin responded as Dabi tilted his head.

"What are the strongest quirks in the adapting factions arsenal?" Dabi inquired a little intrigued at Shin's words.

"Probably mark, stone, and drain." Shin spoke out as he reached the car and opened the backseat with Dabi following in.

"What about the Origin faction?" Dabi asked again after finding a seat across from him.

"The only quirk user that seems significant is called Minotaur, meaning they can change into the mythical creature from legends." Shin explained while gazing out the window.

"Then what are the ones from the adapting faction?" Dabi, a little displeased at the lacking power asked, Shin nodded his head before listing off every threat he deemed reasonable from surveying the elders minds.

"Basically once you're marked as long as the user touches another object it will come launching at you, kinda like magnetics." Shin explained as Dabi nodded his head.

"There's only three others that, to me, are considered dangerous, and the powers of these people are; Mark, once the user touches you you're immediately marked and he can essentially pull anything he marked towards you. Stone, the user can manipulate anything made of stone." Shin listed off the first two before he seriously turned his gaze.

"The last one and the most dangerous one is Daizens grandson's quirk called Drain which I will be taking care of." Shin promptly crushed Dabi's smile until he heard Shin's next words.

"His quirk lets him Drain the vitality of any person while turning it into energy." Shin, who read Daizens memories when he infiltrated BlueBird at first, couldn't believe that this quirk existed.

Shin immediately became cautious especially after seeing how careful Daizen was in hiding him since he was tucked away in Switzerland, and upon learning about this Daizen called him back.

"What's the proble-"

"The problem is that this nineteen year old kid has drained the life of almost 300 hundred people meaning he holds energy that he can use to boost his physical strength or lifespan relatively up to 300 people." Shin already knew what he was getting at and answered curtly, making Dabi surprised however such a quirk had its drawback.

It is not permanent meaning this energy he has accumulated doesn't last forever and his body has a limit on how much energy he can store within himself which made Shin curious at how he himself could utilize this to its fullest.

The biggest problem or maybe side effect for Daizens grandson using this quirk was evidently draining the life of so many people made him a little deranged though Shin doubted that this side effect could apply to him.

"Dabi if he grabs ahold of you then he'll turn you into a husk and even with your flames he can just regenerate himself with all his accumulated vitality." Shin saw Dabi still wearing his confused gaze and then proceeded to squash all hopes of him fighting this guy for good.

'It's kind of like a lesser version of One For All.' Shin thought since it sort of resembled OFA characteristics but not entirely.

*Knock*

*Knock*

Atsuhiro politely knocked on the window twice as Dabi opened the door and scooted over.

"So what did you guys think of my performance? You didn't respond to my text so I was left with guesses." Atsuhiro calmly spoke but internally he was a little anxious as he hoped that his performance met Shin's standards.

"It sucked." Dabi smiled while trying to tear down his calm front making Atsuhiro's eyebrow twitch.

"You exceeded my expectations, I really believed for a second you were indeed a fanatic." Shin spoke his true thoughts.

"I'm glad." The anxiousness pressing on Atsuhiro's heart that had built up from his commute had instantly disappeared with Shin's words.

"Let's change your appearance." Shin gave a quick heads up as he grabbed Atsuhiro while changing his appearance back into his original face.

"I'll never get used to that." Atsuhiro muttered as he touched his face under the mask.

If Atsuhiro could describe the feeling then it would be akin to having someone mold and shape your face like one would do when using clay for a sculpture.

"So what's the plan?" Atsuhiro curiously asked while continuing to touch his face.

"It's pretty simple, the Origin faction doesn't have as much firepower so infiltration should be easy, the only problem is the Adapting faction since they hold three quirk users who have decent quirks that make a frontal confrontation almost zero." Shin then explained all the quirks making Atsuhiro very interested.

"Interesting." Atsuhiro rubbed his chin at the powers.

"I'll let you deal with the mark quirk while I fight the stone." Dabi thought about who would put up a better fight, and the stone user seemed like the most ideal opponent.

"Agreed, from what I have shown thus far, the stone user might be difficult with the performance I have in mind." Atsuhiro nodded his head before Arahi started to make his way closer to the car.

"Try to be careful in killing the cannon fodder, I need them to occupy the future areas I take from the Sukowa and Inasa." Shin spoke as Arashi drew closer to the car.

"Alright." Dabi shrugged while Atsuhiro nodded.

"Also Atsuhiro if anyone asks I healed your concussion." Shin spoke right as Arashi grabbed the handle, and Atsuhiro tilted his head not understanding Shin's instructions.

'Hari asked me why I was on my phone and I lied and said you got concussed while being caught up in the explosion.' Shin's words sounded in his head prompting him to have a look of realization under his mask.

"Pardon my intrusion but were all set to drive to the origins factions compound but the probability of all elders of being ther-"

"Don't worry about that, due to this conflict the safest place for them to remain is in their own compounds." Shin interrupted Arashi since a bonus excuse to having all the elders coincidentally inside their compounds is because of the attack and the excessive amounts of 'villains' rioting.

"Ah, I understand." Arashi nodded as he took a seat next to Shin.

The driver entered the car once Shin's response ended, and after a while Arashi took up his seat next to Shin before the car started to drive to the origins faction's destination, and everyone except Arashi made light chatter as he remained quiet while gazing at the ground.

Even with the disaster occurring outside which originally shocked him to the core, now that he was along with Shin and his confidants a question floated around his mind that had been haunting him for a while.

"Doctor." Arashi suddenly spoke out once the conversation was about to reach its next topic.

"What is it, Arashi?" Shin showed a curious expression though he internally guessed what Arashi wanted to talk about.

"Did you........I don't mean to point fingers or make any absurd reasonings but......….but were you involved with the murder of-" Arashi stopped his sentence while he tried to not offend Shin in anyway while still getting the answer he desired.

"Yes, I was the one responsible for his death." Shin smiled as he interrupted him before he could say Ohta's name.

Arashi's eyes widened as his pupils trembled violently, he bit his lip before his head immediately turned to the ground.

"Thank you." Arashi's voice shook as he muttered these words, Shin chuckled as he patted his shoulders.

Arashi didn't seem like the type to get emotional if you only judged him by appearance though Shin could understand why since he held so much resentment and hate for Ohta.

"I still can't believe that the oyabun let him go." Dabi scoffed showing a displeased expression but in reality was acting according to what Shin instructed him to do if Arashi ever mentioned this with him present.

"Dabi." Shin added some authority to his voice that made Dabi recoil from speaking any further.

"No its-nevermind." Arashi almost spoke his true thoughts though once he uttered two words he immediately tracked back.

"If I may." Atsuhiro knew this was his cue to act and looked towards Shin, and once Arashi turned his gaze upwards, Shin then nodded his head.

"Arashi I understand you might not see us as comrades but whatever you say between us stays between us." Atsuhiro politely spoke, the exact opposite of Dabi's manner.

"Mr. Compress putting Arashi on the spot like that is-"

"Doctor, if I may, I would like to get something off my chest." Arashi surprisingly interrupted Shin though the latter could really care less and gave him the floor.

"It's hard to talk about this to others since everyone in the oyabun's circle never disagrees with him, but after he let Ohta go while knowing what he did, I just." Arashi gritted his teeth, he gripped his pants as his palms shook from the anger at recalling his leader's decision.

"I just can't understand how he could let those gang leaders go! After everything they did to the thirtieth division! After what they did to the Yakuza! What he did to......Hiroki." Arashi finally let out all his grievances, his tone seemed to escalate with every word he uttered until his deceased son's name came out of his mouth causing the pitch of his voice to become that of a mouse.

They all patiently listened while nodding along to his words with Dabi being the only one being transparent with his emotions as he briefly saw old man Arata in Arashi.

"Arashi, it's understandable to have complaints and disputes with oyabun but have you talked to him about it?" Shin patted the saddened Arashi once more while edging him on.

"He doesn't listen to anyone but himself." Arashi dryly laughed though the pain as he collapsed his head into his hands.

His hands rubbed his displeased face as he started to inwardly contemplate his life in the Yakuza.

Third Person POV Arashi

Ever since that day Arashi has questioned everything Shie preached about and after a while he became a little discontent on how the oyabun ran the Yakuza.

Arashi saw the united Yakuza before Shie took over since he joined right as Shie took up the mantle of oyabun however after he did Arashi saw first hand the rapid decline in the Yakuza.

However once Kai joined, Shie's power instantly increased since his quirk was no laughing matter even going so far as to strike fear into the Sukowa and Inawa along with quelling the elders.

Even though the Oyabun's power was at its peak, tragedy seemed to strike one after another.

Small gangs had always littered around the Yakuza's territory especially the thirteenths division since the number of quirks users in the Yakuza had slowly decreased in part due to Kai's will.

Which left the thirteenth division to be one of the weakest since it had been placed under Kai and even though it was managed by him attacks always ensued whenever Kai had other matters to attend to.

One day while they were patrolling their territory they caught wind of Ohta doing business which led them to retaliate but in doing so caused the death of his son.

Heartbroken, Arashi barely managed to cling on thanks to his responsibilities, and delved deeper into his work.

Over time the situation only grew worse until Kai suddenly disappeared leaving the thirteenth division to be attacked mercilessly throughout the span of six months.

How many times did Arashi have to bury a comrade, how he had steel his resolve just to look his comrades deceased loved ones in the face, and slowly tell them of their sudden loss.

His heart only broke more whenever he saw a parent fall to their knees in grief, like he once did.

Then right before the thirteenth division was about to be exterminated, the Doctor along with his subordinates showed up and instantly quelled the people who were about to completely slaughter them.

Arashi would never forget that sight of the combined forces of the Sukowa and Inawa being incinerated.

Then the might of the thirteenth division suddenly soared with the aid of the Doctor which in turn resulted in the thirteenth division actually being able to bring a great contribution to the yakuza in what seemed like forever, only for the reward to be heartbreak.

Once the words of hsi oyabun fell upon his ears, Arashi internally collapsed, he got on his knees and begged though his decision didn't change even after hearing his pleas.

With everything those bastards did, the man he looked up to, his boss, his oyabun, but most of all his friend, told him to 'Trust me this will make a better underworld'.

Arashi crumbled after he heard those words as he spiraled into alcoholism until he heard that Ohta had died.

The relief that fell upon him once those words finally let Arashi finally be at peace knowing his son had finally been avenged.

Arashi could care less if that bastard died by his hands or anothers, all he wanted was his death.

Though once he finally had a peace of mind, the words of the Doctor reverberated in his head 'I know words cannot put your heart at ease so let my actions speak for it'.

The words at first didn't make sense however after contemplating for a long time Arashi started to inwardly think that the person who avenged him could indeed, be the Doctor.

Now it was confirmed but the only words that he could utter to the person who avenged his son was 'thank you'.

Third Person POV Arashi End

"Yes." Shin spoke as he slid open the window that connected him with the driver.

"We're here Doctor." The driver respectfully responded right as Shin finished his words.

"Arashi let's continue this at a later date, and don't worry about feeling awkward since we consider you a comrade." Shin spoke to Arashi who smiled.

"And let's keep this between us." Shin made a shushing motion resulting in Arashi nodding.

"Of course, Doctor." Arashi bowed his head in a form of respect though Shin waved him off.

"Let's focus on uniting our yakuza." Shin then gazed outside at the Origin faction compound seeing a massive amount of men formed outside seemingly already aware of their presence.

Shin walked out of the car door with all other Yakuza following his lead as they all gathered meeting them head on.

"So you must be the Doctor I heard so much about." A man standing in the front of the pack who went by Fuyuki, the man who possessed the Minotaur quirk, stood confidently.

"Fellow Yakuza!" Shin ignored the greeting while addressing the anxious Origin faction.

"Are you ignoring me-"

"The oyabun has deemed all elders including the ones in charge of the Origin faction traitors." Shin voiced out and once he did the atmosphere became tense since they knew what that meant.

"I can confidently say without a doubt that you will lose this upcoming fight, so before you make any rash actions listen to my words." Shin continued, and even though Fuyuki showed a fuming expression he still blatantly ignored him since he wasn't a part of the Yakuza.

"All those who surrender now, to the oyabun. Will not be punished and will be accepted back into the Yakuza, however." Shin's eyes immediately became cold as he let out his bloodlust, causing some members to go pale, even his own forces felt his cold aura though they felt a little relief knowing they were on his side.

"The ones who decide to side with the traitors will face heavy consequences." Shin would have to kill a few of these members to make a point but he predicted only a few would really die.

"Decide." Shin then released all his killing intent.

The breath of all the members in front of Shin, even Fuyuki, went cold after this chilling feeling suddenly washed over them as goosebumps slowly formed all over their skin.

Right now from the 5,678 members that occupied the Origin faction around 800 hundred were gathered in front of the compound ready to defend it from Shin's advances.

Shin had previously controlled the elders to issue an order afterwards to reinforce the territory's forces as an excuse to dwindle the number of members guarding their main compound.

The reason for this confrontation was more for show since not everyone in the Origin faction would give up all at once since there was bound to be resistance however in the end they were Yakuza.

After using some force the rebellious ones would eventually fall in line especially with their pillars, the elders, crumbling right before their eyes since Shin planned to execute them all on the spot while using the ones that surrendered to send a message to the remaining faction participants who were probably unaware of what was transpiring.

The surroundings excluding the cries from downtown remained quiet until one member finally broke, dropping his gun to the ground.

"Hideya!" A fellow member shouted in anger though Hideya shook his head.

"We cannot win against the Doctor and his subordinates, especially since we have confirmed recently that his subordinate is the blue flame wielder." Hideya pointed at Dabi nearby since recently it has come out that the blue flame wielder is indeed part of the yakuza.

This explanation immediately devastated the morale of the origin faction forces after they actually started to contemplate the situation in front of him.

"Cowards-" Fuyuki was about to barrate them until a spike suddenly flew in front of his eyes.

*BAM*

His words stood still as the spike grazed his cheek before impaling itself into the wall.

The cut started to ooze blood as Fuyuki immediately recovered after feeling the stinging pain from his cheek.

"That's everyone's final warning." Shin coldly spoke as everyone took a gulp.

None of them even saw the speed at which that spike traveled as it seemed to suddenly appear in the wall.

"Surrender, save your lives, return to your brothers, and finally make way so I can apprehend the traitors." Shin spoke for a last time and after Hideya regained himself he kept walking forward.

This action by Hideya awoke everyone as slowly one by one, members dropped their weapons before walking out of the cultured force.

These were the members always on the fence about going against the organization they swore themselves too.

Each had their own reasons however the biggest one was the oyabuns lack of willingness to use aggressive means to strengthen the yakuza.

However once they heard that a man known as the Doctor joined and actively started strengthening the yakuza, their resolve started to shake especially after hearing about the Doctor cleaning out the smaller gangs from the territory which they hadn't even managed to do.

Almost three fourths of the total members that once occupied the forces guarding the entrance of the Origin faction made their way to Shin's side.

Shin expected an outcome like this from the origin faction since compared to the adapting faction, their firepower was greatly lacking.

Unlike the adapting faction who already took care of the pest trying to occupy their territory, the Origin were in fact struggling since they broke off from the oyabun later and had just started to actively recruit members with good quirks since a lot of strong quirk users in the underworld were already belonging to another group or had started a gang of their own.

Fuyuki was a special case since the Origin faction hired him with the enormous amount of funds they received from the race track.

"YOU FUCKING COWARDS!" Fuyuki roared as his clothes started to rip signaling his transformation.

*Sigh*

"I really didn't want to do this." Shin sighed as Fuyuki had finished morphing into a minotaur.

Shin formed a spike from his hand while applying sharp to it as the members behind him got ready to fight.

"Charge!" Shin shouted as war cries suddenly sounded from behind him as he launched himself forward.

"KILL THEM ALL-AHHHH!" Fuyuki couldn't finish his roar as Shin suddenly appeared in front of him, he instinctively put up his arm to block however Shin cleanly sliced it off with one fell swoop.

Blood splattered on Shin's face though he didn't flinch as he suddenly pushed himself off of Fuyuki before a massive arm could connect to his body.

Shin backflipped as he fired multiple spikes mid-air from his unoccupied hand while using sharp on each one of them right before they exited his skin.

"I'LL KILL YO-AHHHHHH!" Fuyuki's revenge cry was interrupted by numerous spikes suddenly impaling his body.

Shin softly landed on the ground while Fuyki huffed while feeling the pain of ten spikes inside his body.

Shin raised an eyebrow greatly surprised he even managed to survive the onslaught of having numerous organs pierced since each spike should've impaled all his vital organs.

"BAStard." Fuyuki wanted to shout through the sudden pain from this desired action resulting in his tone greatly weakening halfway through his response.

The morale of the Origins faction side plummeted to an all time low after seeing Fuyuki's sudden state.

Blood slowly stained the compound's grounds under the fierce battle taking place around Shin.

Some members seeing Shin's defenseless back decided to try and change the course of the battle while internally wanting the accomplishment of taking down such a notable figure.

Five people suddenly charged at Shin though after two steps each of these five suddenly became ten as a wind slash split them into two.

"Monster." Fuyuki hissed after seeing Shin's calm walk towards him, suddenly interrupted by him slicing five people into five halves.

"Says the monster." Shin chuckled in response.

Fuyuki, gritting his teeth, tried to make a move while taking one step forward before his hoof suddenly gave out, making him get onto his knee.

*Ting*

A bullet was suddenly swatted from the air resulting in a loud metallic sound resounting into the surroundings.

Shin calmly looked towards the side to see a man shakingly pointing a gun at him, though after noticing he caught Shin's attention he immediately dropped it.

"Wait I-"

*Splat*

A spike impaled the grunts head resulting in brain matter spewing into the surrounding directions as his body collapsed to the floor with the sudden absence of the neurons signals.

*Bam*

A sudden shock wave resonated from Fuyuki's seemingly unforeseen punch as it became stopped by Shin's palm.

Stunned at what his eyes portrayed to his brain they trembled under the strength display by Shin.

Shin made blocking his sudden assault seem so effortless as it felt like he punched a steel wall though this time he didn't even leave a dent.

Minotaur: Allows the user to transform into the mythical minotaur only known through myths.

"How?" Fuyuki couldn't mutter out anything except these words as the question seemingly floated around his dazed mind.

"Do the dead really need to know these sorts of things?" Shin tilted his head with a smile.

"I-"

*Splat*

*Plop*

Shin cut off his head with one fell swoop resulting in it rolling down onto the ground, blood soaked the spike as he swung it to the side resulting in a straight red line forming to the side.

Turning his back towards the fight he saw that the members threw down their weapons while showing their immediate surrender upon the sight of Fuyuki's head rolling.

"All those who resisted will have their fate decided by the Oyabun." Shin announced to the disheartened origin faction members who decided to put up a fight.

"Apprehend the traitors!" Shin ordered as suddenly the men rushed forth into the compound.

The number of men occupying his side decreased by half though Shin didn't mind as he saw Dabi and Atsuhiro.

Dabi was boredly wiping off his bloody fists with a pocket square he got from a dead body and Atsuhiro reloaded his hand gun before turning it back into a marble.

"Everyone that stayed behind, gather the injured and bring them to me." Shin ordered once more as the ones who remained back who were primarily the ones who surrendered, obediently followed his orders.

'If only the adapting faction was this easy.' Shin healed the men on the brink of death while he lamented inside knowing the true force of the adapting faction.

Even when he purposely dwindled the capable men with not that threatening quirks while putting the idea of sending them to their occupied territory inside the minds of these elders, he still felt a little annoyed.

Since he had to order the deadly and fiercely loyal ones including the three he mentioned to Dabi and Atsuhiro earlier since he knew that only brainwashing would turn or deter them.

Maybe it was because the Adapting faction was originally in charge of BlueBird construction and they constantly had to do business deals with other organizations but they were vastly more organized than the origin faction.

Part of this had been due to the fact that they slowly built up their forces even before they broke away from the oyabun as well as being first ones to betray him.

'We'll have to do a surprise attack.' Shin thought as he healed another member.

The Adapting had long been preparing rather than the origin faction which resulted in them being vastly more armed.

The Adapting faction broke away once Kai's disappearance was confirmed but the origin faction stuck by the oyabun's side until a month before Shin made contact.

Even though the Origin faction had wealthier assets they were the last to betray the oyabun which meant they were slower in accumulating weapons and resources.

Shin also decided this would be the last time he limited himself since he would completely unleash his full power onto every rival gang once the Yakuza fell under his control.

The sole purpose of not doing it now was because he didn't have enough manpower nor enough favor and control over the Yakuza, but all that would change after this attack.

"LET GO OF ME! DO YOU KNOW WHO YOUR HANDLING! I'M A ELDER FOR CHRISTSAKE!" Elder Eizo screeched in front of the entrance to the compound.

The other four elders all also voiced their displeasures at the treatment, though one by one they were all brought to their knees in front of Shin.

"DO YOU KNOW WHO-"

"Quiet." Shin coldly spoke as his bloodlust hit the elders like freight trains resulting in them suddenly choking on their shouts.

Turning around his gaze fell upon all the members who were still or formerly a part of the origin faction.

"Put their heads down." Shin ordered as the men holding the elders suddenly pushed their heads down upon his orders.

"Let this be a reminder to you all whenever you think about betraying the organization you yourself swore an oath too." Shin held up his spike while walking to the side of the perfectly lined up elders.

"STOP! STOP!" Elder Eizo along with the others yelled in urgency though Shin paid no heed to their words as he swung his spike downwards.

A sharp air slash followed that cleanly sliced all five of the elders heads clear off, all the elders' expressions froze before their heads slowly slid off their necks and rolled onto the ground.

Disbelief, anger, resentment, anxiousness, unwillingness, all these emotions remained forever immortalized on their faces for all to see.

Everyone watched with battered breath seeing Shin mercilessly execute the elders they all used to take orders from.

Some closed their eyes, others turned away, but mostly all watched deeply, heading and engraving Shin's warning into their minds as they saw the leaders they once looked up to suddenly decapitated before their very eyes.

Arashi didn't say a word and instead decided to close his eyes, unable to watch his former friends' last seconds before opening them only to see their lifeless bodies.

"From now on the Origin faction and everything that encompasses it will adhere and merge back into the Yakuza." Shin ordered as everyone bowed showing they would adhere to his orders.

"The former members who surrendered from my warnings will receive their first mission." Shin spoke out as the ones who surrendered all gulped awaiting Shin's next words.

"First whoever has contacts with any members not here right now will take a picture of the elders and send it to them with the following message attached: 'Report to the oyabun and swear your loyalty again, to your rightful leader, along with the organization, or end up like your former elders'." Shin suddenly proclaimed as they all became wide eyed.

"Second you are to remain here under the command of Arashi until notified otherwise." Arashi understood this since it was only right that these members be watched.

"Third Commander Arashi will then notify you when you will be cleared to swear your loyalty to your actual leader before you are assigned your new places." Shin set his spike down while squinting his eyes.

"Understood?" Shin asked without asking before hearing an immediate response.

"YES DOCTOR!" They shouted at the top of their lungs.

"Then form a line and start." They hesitated for a second without anyone taking any immediate action.

"Did I stutter?" Shin icey tone made their decision apparent as they all suddenly started to form a line while taking out their phones.

"Isn't this a little overkill?" Dabi asked from the side, watching one flash after another appear from their camera as each member took a picture of their former headless boss.

"Maybe, but this solution will rat out the commanders I need to kill." Shin responded though Dabi still didn't understand.

"Dabi, he means that it will reveal the commanders who are only loyal to the elders rather than the yakuza." Atsuhiro chimed in while walking next to Shin.

"How many are you expecting to resist?" Dabi asked, seeing a member gag at the sight though still taking the picture.

"Maybe half since they have to be loyal enough to the elders in the first place to break off from the oyabun's control though I speculate most will give in leaving maybe one or two to fight til the end." Shin answered while turning to see Arashi walking closer to him.

"Doctor, what are your next orders for the men remaining to take down the adapting faction?" Arashi politely inquired as Shin nodded.

"Inform everyone participating that it will be a surprise attack."

Authors Note: Sorry if the chapter seemed bland since it sort of was intended to be or at least an explanation on things like Shin's mindset among other things.

P.S: Also what do you think of my writing throughout these forty chapter so far? Does it seem repetitive? Is it getting better? I would like your honest opinions since sometimes I feel like the story seems boring even when I'm trying to bring new things that seem exciting to it.
