"Yuta."
Yuta heard the voice and immediately knew who it was—none other than Izuku.
"Izuku, how are you?" Yuta smiled after finally seeing a familiar face. Izuku, however, almost vanished from his spot and appeared near Yuta, making it seem as though he had materialized out of thin air.
"Oh my god, are you okay? Why aren't you in the hospital? How did you end up fighting that Nomu? Are you hurt anywhere? Did you even heal from that previous fight?" Izuku fired off questions like a machine gun, making Yuta frown while the little girl tugging on his leg giggled.
"Calm down... I can't understand anything you're saying, Midoriya," Yuta sighed, making Izuku blush as he finally calmed down.
Yuta had no idea why Izuku was so excited; it should be him who was excited. For Izuku and the others, it had only been a few days since Yuta defeated AFO and they last saw him. But for Yuta, it had been three months.
I should really talk with Toru the first chance I get. She'll most likely be furious that I haven't contacted her all this time. And though I know it hasn't been that long, in my mind, it's already been three months, so inexplicably it feels like it's been a long time.
"Ah, sorry, I was just too excited to see you after that fight," Izuku said, still blushing and ruffling his hair.
"Don't worry about it. Tell me, do you have everyone's contact information? You see, I broke my phone during the fight with that freak show. Now I don't have anyone's contact info. Can you share our classmates' contacts with me?" Yuta asked while taking out his phone, showing him that saying no was not an option.
Midoriya just nodded and quickly exchanged contact information.

Later on, Yuta followed Midoriya back to the hostel where all the students were living. This actually surprised Yuta quite a bit.
"So, you're saying the school built this building just for us to stay in and to protect us?" Yuta asked with a slight twitch of his eyebrow.
"Yes," Izuku replied, oblivious to what Yuta was thinking.
Yuta looked at the building and had only one thought:
How does this school have so much money to burn? What the hell is that Nezu guy doing to earn this much cash? I have to find out. Yuta made a mental note. After all, here he was, saving the multiverse—kind of—and when he checked his bank balance, he couldn't even afford to pay off his debts to Maki for breaking most of her weapons.
Next time, I'll pay that for sure.
Following Midoriya, Yuta entered the building, but as he did, Midoriya said something that caught him off guard.
"Yuta..."
"What..."
"I will catch up to you. Sooner or later, I will be there, fighting side by side with you. Back when All For One attacked, I couldn't even move, but you were able to save Best Jeanist.
For the longest time, I wanted to be a hero who could save others with a smile on my face, just like All Might. But now, I have another target to reach. You are my target, Yuta.
I'll grow stronger... I... I will move next time..." Izuku was serious as he spoke. Though he wasn't facing Yuta while saying this, his voice made it clear that he was determined.
"I see," Yuta nodded.
"Then get stronger and come at me.
Surpass me.
I will be waiting for you at the throne of the Strongest, Midoriya," Yuta smirked as he looked at the green-haired boy in front of him.
Ah, the nostalgia...
Izuku, on the other hand, was pondering what Yuta actually meant, but he understood the gist of his words.
"Hai," was all Midoriya said.

"Yuta!" almost everyone shouted when he entered, and they quickly gathered around him.
"Oh my god, when did you come back? Are you all right? You fought with that Nomu and AFO, that was so awesome!"
"When were you released from the hospital?"
"Are you okay?"
"Yuta, you're completely famous now. Do you know you have your own fan group?"
"Did you know you've got nicknames like 'Dynamic Afro'?"
Yuta couldn't help but smile, surrounded by so many of his friends. Though they were noisy, it was clear they were all worried about him, judging by how much they cared about his health.
People with families hardly realize how valuable those precious bonds are.
Yuta knew. He currently had no family. After his grandmother passed away, he was all alone. So seeing this, he was internally happy knowing he had so many friends.
Well, being strong enough to protect them all is more than enough, I guess. Yuta pondered, maybe for the first time wondering why he bothered going to another world to get even stronger if it meant leaving these people behind.
