While Naoyuki was thinking in how convenient it would be to pass a TOEFL exam with high score to get a scholarship to study aboard, a long hair woman appeared in the room, and hugged tightly the little boy before he could say a word.

Thereupon, in the room just remained sobs accompanied by wetness in the cyan patient gown.

Naoyuki can say that he never saw this woman before, but the scent of her hair and the warmness of her body made Naoyuki feel a strange naturalness. His arms reacted by pure instinct to hug her back.

"Okasan? " A silent whisper came out from the boy's mouth.

After hearing the boy speak, the woman cried even harder.

"I thought I would lose you forever! Please, don't do this ever again!"

"Ma'am, the patient just woke up, we don't know his actual state, what you're doing can hurt him." A third voice sounded in the room, somewhat nervous, by the way.

It was the nurse that appeared after the door. She was the person who attended the old man before, and by the situation, she was probably the person that called the mother of the owner of this body.

"Pardon me, I was just… so…" The mother hurriedly released the child, after wiping away her tears, she tried to crack a faint smile in her melancholic gestures to the boy. "Naoyuki, you must be hungry, mama is going to get you some food, is that all right?"

Naoyuki nodded, not knowing what else to say to that woman.

"Listen to all what miss nurse tells you, okay? I'll be right back; I'll bring you your favorite onigirazu." The woman touched Naoyuki's head with delicacy, and then left without taking her eyes off the child in all the way to the door.

It felt like an eternity.

Naoyuki kept silence, it wasn't a joke, he really doesn't know how to face that mother whose child was dead.

It's an awful sensation, Naoyuki doesn't even know why that boy died. The result of that is that he feels like he was the murder of that innocent boy. Naoyuki never knew that his Re:zero would be so chaotic, and watching the woman cry made him feel even worse.

But the nurse didn't think that, she believed that Naoyuki was sad because his mother left. So, she tried to reassure him with irrelevant words, and tried to cheer him up making funny faces.

'A yasashi nurse.' Naoyuki had to say. While he tried to forget that short encouter with the woman that used to be called 'mom' by this body... by the same mouth he's talking with.

After that, the nurse took Naoyuki to do different kinds of medical tests by all the hospital, the process took around two hours. In this time, it seemed like he did everything the nurse instructed him to do, but in reality, all his attention was mainly focussed on the panel that appeared in front of his eyes.

The Nurse even praised Naoyuki to be a really good boy, saying that he was a brave hero that didn't even cry in the blood test. Although, who would know what kind of expression she'll make if she finds out that inside this four-year-old body there's a 28 years old man soul.

"Eto-chan, your mom called to the hospital to say that she'll arrive soon. Don't be mad with her for leaving you here for two hours, okay? You need to be a good boy, after all, she came to see you immediately in her working hours when you woke up." The nurse said when both came back to the sickroom.

Then, she complained in a low voice: "Geez, what kind of irresponsible husband would not visit his hospitalized son after so long. In his place, the poor woman has to run to and fro…"

'So, the mother of this body has a hard life, huh?' Naoyuki thought.

But now, it wasn't time to think about 'his mother', he needs to focus on this bar that took 2 hours to charge, and it may take just a couple of minutes more to be completed.
