Investigation

It's been two years since Hana's disappearance and two years since Rumi's personal investigation of her whereabouts.

Most people had given up hope of ever finding her and with the police, the case had been all but forgotten.

But the future pro hero didn't give up, her free time now purely consisted of training and investigating.

Every day after school Rumi wouldn't go straight home but either visit the park or go to a place she had thought she might find clues to Hana's whereabouts.

Today wasn't any different, the class had just ended and the now eleven-year-old Rumi was packing her bag.

Taking the fifth-grade history book and placing it into her backpack-type school bag she quickly grabbed her packet of chewing gum.

Walking towards the sliding door Rumi swung her bag over the white school uniform.

Just as she reached the door a person barred her way.

It was none other than Ryota Matoba, her classmate.

He was quite tall with flaming red hair, literally, his hair was fire.

That was his quirk 'Fire Hair' it allowed him to shoot fire from his scalp.

He was about five centimeters taller than Rumi and had a very punchable face.

"Hey Rumi-Chan, do you want to hang out with me and the others?"

Reaching out she quickly grabbed him by his unbuttoned shirt and pulled him down to just below her eye level.

"I think I told you not to call me by my first name, did I not?" she growled out.

Ryota's face blanched when he heard her "I-I'm sorry Usagiyama-san." he croaked out.

"Do you mean it?"

He nodded vigorously "Yes, yes of course."

"Ok, good" she then dropped him and left the classroom slamming the door in the process.

Walking out the school gate Rumi turned left down the long suburban street.

As she walked she removed the bag from her back and took out a small notebook.

Putting her backpack back on she opened the notebook.

It was jam-packed with notes and filled with sketches of different places and objects.

This was one of the notebooks she had written her findings in.

Flipping through to the latest page Rumi examined the small map she had sketched.

It was of the shopping district she had visited yesterday.

Why was she there you might ask?

Well her clues led her there, but sadly she couldn't examine the place because her mother called asking her to come home.

Now looking at the map there was one place that was marked by a circle drawn in red inc.

Frowning she closed the book again and with it under her arm, she went on her way.

Exiting the underground Rumi immediately made her way to the marked position.

As she walked down a lightly packed street lined by shops Rumi kept looking at her notebook than to her phone and back again.

Stopping, she looked right, there in front of her was a broad alleyway looking down at her phone she checked if this was the right place.

Nodding to herself she entered the passageway.

Activating the torch accessory on her phone Rumi walked deeper into the alleyway.

Shining the torch against the walls she searched for any clues but found nothing of interest except for a graffiti of a dragon eating its own tail.

She quickly made a sketch of it in her notebook and moved on.

For the next few minutes she searched the alleyway for any clues, but sadly didn't find any.

Exiting the alleyway Rumi heaved a sigh.

'I should head home and just make sure this is the right place.'

It's been a week since Hana woke from her slumber and right now she was meditating inside her room.

Sitting in the lotus position on the cold concrete floor she concentrated on the energy inside of her.

For the last hour, she had been sitting there moving it through her body via some sort of pathway she had discovered.

Hana sat there for a few more minutes before getting up and shaking off the numbness in her limbs.

Her sensei had given her a list before he left a week ago.

It was her training schedule that she had to uphold every day for who knows how long.

Of course, she followed it, he was her sensei and the man who saved her and Tenko's lives.

What he also told her was that every time she made a breakthrough in her training she could ask for something.

Till now she sadly hadn't made any major progress.

That was the reason why her room was so barren, it only consisted of a light and a small mattress that she slept on.

Now that she had trained her energy for an hour it was time for her physical exercise.

Lying down Hana started to do push-ups, "Up, down, up, down" she said to herself trying to fight off the pain building up in her arms.

Only about ten seconds later she collapsed her weak nine-year-old body not coping with the strain.

For an hour she pushed herself to the very limit keeping in mind that only by growing stronger would she be able to protect her younger brother.

After her Physical exercise, she had to train her Kamui and wood release for an hour.

She repeated those four exercises three more times.

It was late, well at least that was what Hana guessed since there was no clock in her room, only a timer.

Exhaustedly, she trudged over to her small mattress and led down on it falling asleep instantly.
