77 Chapter 77

' Damn barrier. ' Shigaraki thought in annoyance as he blasted back with multiple holes in his body from Susanoo stage 2 and slammed into some rubble behind him.

' I can fully control decay, but not even that can past the barrier he creates. He also has barriers on his body to block attacks. ' Shigaraki thought as he felt himself get crushed in between the barriers. However, his regeneration protected him. He pushed the barriers apart by force and used the teleportation quirk that All for One had to escape.

' I need just one chance. Just one chance, to steal his quirk. ' Shigaraki thought.

' They haven't fully merged. ' Axel thought. ' He diffently wants to steal my quirk. This won't work though. I need the other body to appear and get rid of all of them.

The body of All for One is here. What's the best way to get him here? ' Axel thought as he watched Shigaraki from a distance.

' Hmm, that could work. ' Axel thought. ' Let's try it. '

Axel smiled as he looked at Shigaraki.

" Why are you smiling? " Shigaraki asked as he watched Axel cautiously.

" Oh that. Well, it's because I finally thought of the perfect way to defeat you. " Axel said with a smile.

A barrier quickly surrounded Axela and Shigaraki. Shigaraki looked at the barrier and Axel. He wanted to escape but when he used his teleportation quirk, he couldn't escape the barrier.

" You can't get out, sorry. You are the final boss, and the final boss needs to be defeated in style. " Axel said with a smile.

Shigaraki jaw dropped as he stared upwards towards the sun that was above him.

" Goodbye. " Axel said with a smile. He teleported out of the barrier as the sun went straight towards Shigaraki and started to burn him.

Shigaraki screamed in pain as his regeneration kicked in. He tried to use his decay quirk, but Axel had covered the ground in a barrier, so he couldn't escape.

Once the attack ended, Axel smirked. Shigaraku survived, just like he wanted.

' All for One and Shigaraki are connected through the quirk, so I can bring him here. ' Axel thought as he walked behind Shigaraki who was breathing heavily. His skin was charred, his hair was burnt away and his face had a giant smirk on his face.

' Dammit. His quirk is stronger as hell. Also what the hell was that bullshit?! There's no way he thought it was enough to drop a sun on me to make me die. I will make my dreams a reality. ' Shigaraki thought as he got on his knees.

' That quirk. I want it! I NEED IT! " All for One thought as he laughed.

' He hasn't shown everything his quirk is capable of. It probably has more features that I can use! I need it. ' All for One thought.

He tried to take over Shigaraki, but Shigaraki pushed back against him.

Shigaraki was getting up from the ground but suddenly felt his body freeze.

He couldn't move.

He felt a presence behind him.

He didn't need to turn around to know it was Axel.

Axel smirked as he looked at the All for One quirk.

In an instant, Axel slammed his hand into Shigaraki and grabbed All for One.

All for One had a look of shock as he felt Axel grab his quirk in Shigaraki's body.

He then felt his quirk being slowly ripped out from his Shigaraki's body.

' No. NO! ' Alk for One thought. He never expected Axel to be able to remove quirks, but this was bad. Once All for One is removed, Axel will be getting rid of the original quirk which was the strongest version of All for One.

Not only that, but the transformation with Shigaraki was already close to completion. After coming so far, he wasn't about to lose this opportunity.

Plus he couldn't wait anymore. Axel will hunt hi. down till he is dead.

It would not be long till he died.

Ripping the health equipment, he teleported straight to the battlefield.

Shigaraki on the other hand could feel All for One being ripped away from him.

' How is this possible?! ' He thought in panic.

' Come on, move!! ' He thought.

He tried to move.

He desperately tried to use his decay quirk, but that didn't work.

He couldn't do anything but experience the fact that All for One was ripped out of his body.

Axel stared at the quirk in his hands. All for One was trapped in his hands in a small cube.

" Well, then time to finish this. " Axel said as he got ready to execute the next part of his plan.

But as he was just about to, he turned around abruptly with a wide smile on his face with a crazed look in his eyes.

He stared at All for One who appeared on the battlefield and got ready to attack Axel but fell into the same situation as Shigaraki.

His body froze as Axel stared at him before starting to chuckle.

" Well, isn't this great. I didn't think you would come straight here. I was just about to use All for One to force to come but this makes things easier. " Axel said with a smirk on his face.

Axel wanted to use All for One, the quirk, as a way to locate All for One's body since they are connected. Then with Kurogiri, he can find All for One and kill him, but he didn't expect All for One to just appear in front of him.

" Well, no matter. This is perfect. " Axel said as he smirked.

Inside the cube, the All for One quirk was destroyed instantly, leaving an empty cube. Axel had tried this with est subjects and figured out the way to destroy the quirk after taking it away from someone.

All for One could only watch in horror as his quirk was destroyed, without a trace of it left. The only thing he had was a copy of his quirk inside him. He couldn't even scream.

Just stare, while the realization that everything he has done and built up to will go up in flames.

* boom *

His body exploded, resulting in his body being disintegrated into nothing, not even a speck of flesh was left.

" I win. " Axel said as he turned around towards Shigaraki who was still kneeling on the ground.

" Yeah. You win. " Shigaraki said with a smile.

He couldn't get angry over this loss. He worked hard and went through shit to make his ideal world, but in the end, he lost to someone more powerful than him, someone who was better than him.

Axel was the better player.

" Hey. " Shigaraki called out as Axel stared at him.

" If you don't create the world you wanted, I'll kill you once you come to hell. " Shigaraki said.

Axel chuckled before he smiled sadly.

In a twisted way, even after everything Shigaraki has done, outside of the bloodshed, the time Axel spent with Shigaraki will be in his head forever and one of his cherished memories.

" Don't worry. I'll be there soon. " Axel said.

Shigaraki smiled as he slowly disintegrated into nothing.

Axel stared at the empty spot before looking at the battlefield.

" Time for this to end. "

" It's almost time. " Nezu said cheerfully as he walked towards the set.

" Yeah. I know. " Axel said nervously as he took deep breathes.

" Oh relax. You'll do fine. " Mina said to Axel. " As long as you don't screw up. Like you did at the sports festival. "

" Gah. " Axel said as he felt an arrow pierce his heart, reminding himself of his failure.

" I still don't understand why you are nervous with all the shit you pulled. " Kirishima said.

" Destroying a system to write a new one, easy. Giving a speech in front of thousands of people is just nerve-racking. " Axel said.

" Relax, you won't fuck up. " Mina said as she wrapped her arm around Axel's shoulders.

" Axel. It's time. " Nezu said happily.

" That's your cue. Break a leg. " Mina said as she pushed Axel towards Nezu.

Axel smiled at them before taking a deep breath and following Nezu onto the stage.

Cameras flashed as the TV crews rolled, broadcasting the scene all over Japan.

" Good morning everyone. " Nezu said cheerfully, waving his paw to the audience while standing near the podium.

" As you can tell by my happy expression, I have some good news. Do you want to know why I'm so happy? " Nezu asked as he looked at the audience.

The reporters and camera crew stayed silent with raised eyebrows.

Axel just stayed silent as he side-eyed Nezu.

" No one. Really? Okay fine. I'll just tell you. " Nezu said as he looked into the camera.

" The hero system has been abolished. " Nezu said with a smile on his face.

Silence filled the place as the reporters and camera crew stared at Nezu. The people-watching at home also stared in shock at what he just said.

" Pardon? " One of the reporters said.

" Hmm. Sorry was the mic broken? " Nezu asked as he checked by tapping the mic.

" I said, the hero system has been abolished. " Nezu said.

" Why?! " Another reporter asked.

" Really? " Axel asked as he raised his eyebrow at the reporter.

" Here's a question. Why are you so surprised? " Axel asked.

" This is what you wanted right. After everything that's been in the news, people arguing on online forums, and the massive riots where people have yelled to get rid of heroes, is it really surprising that some of us listened? " Axel asked as he stared at the reporters while the camera crew showed his face.

" Even so, what about our safety and the government? " A reporter asked. " Did they allow this to happen? Will things change? "

" Yes. " Nezu said. " Everything related to the government will be handled by us and some others. The current government doesn't have a choice on the matter. "

" How can we trust you?! For all we know, nothing will change. "

" Then, who can you trust? " Axel asked as he stared at the reporter, silencing him.

" You don't need to trust my words when I say that the government will be handled properly. You just need to watch us. But you can do that in your free time, you have more important matters to attend to. " Axel said.

" What? " A reporter asked in confusion.

" The hero system is gone. I think I don't need to give a monolog on how this system caused so much grief to people. "

" Some people have experienced it, "

" Some have watched from afar, "

" And some caused such grief. " Axel said as he stared at everyone, his voice was clear and was heard by everyone.

"As I said before, the government is in good hands. However, I'm not going to be the only ones changing things, we aren't the only ones changing things, you also need to change.

We have already seen what the hero system has caused us and I am sure none of us want to experience it again. "

" So, get up and make a better society. Everything that is wrong with the previous one, make sure none of it exists in this new society. "

" Everyone wanted change, right?! "

" Well, here's your opportunity!!

" So get up and make a better world to live in. Forge this new world with your own hands!! " Axel said.

Silence.

' Oh shit! I may have fucked up. ' Axel thought.

* clap * * clap *

' Huh. ' Axel thought in surprise as he looked at the reporters clapping while others took photos with the cameras still rolling.

The people who were watching, all clapped and cheered.

A lot of them, feeling inspired by Axel's words.

Nezu just grinned at the reaction, as if he knew this would happen.

Did he?

Who knows?

Axel though had one thought...

' At least I didn't fuck up. '

Years passed by as Japan slowly began changing.

It took some tries and guidance in the beginning but things moved on smoothly from there.

Unlike the rest of the world, Japan was the only country try that had no more heroes.

This confusing other countries who decided to investigate the situation.

It didn't take long for Japan's situation to become worldwide with people appalled by what had happened and started to check their governments.

Let's just say, things worked out and leave it at that.

Class 1-A graduated high school after taking new interests and made carriers for themselves.

Axel worked hard in the government, with help from Nezu to get the hang of politics.

So life was good now.

" Hey, guys. " Axel said as he looked at his friends at their weekly hangouts.

" You'll be having to choose who's going to be the godfather. "

" What? " Shoto asked, with others staring at him in confusion before realization hit them like a truck.

Axel smirked.

" My wife's pregnant. "

Finally, this disgraced fanfic has ended. I really missed up with the final arc of this fanfic, especially with Axel's mother. God that was stupid.

I hope this ending is at least satisfactory.
