Chapter 40: Intruder Alert!

Once they step out if the bus they see a person wearing what looks like the child between a spacesuit and a puffer jacket "Hello, everyone, I've been waiting for you!"

The students that recognise the Hero before them gasp

"It's the Space Hero, Thirteen! The chivalrous pro who's rescued a ton of people from disasters across the world!" Midoriya covers his mouth totally geeking out

"Woo‐hoo!" Ochaco wiggles in excitement "Thirteen is one of my favorite heroes!"

Thirteen gestures to the huge dome building behind her "I can't wait to show you what's inside!"

Everybody heads up the long entry ramp and into the entrance of the building! Upon seeing the inside everyone gasps in awe and excitement

Kirishima spreads his arms "Holy crap! It looks like some kind of amusement park!"

Thirteen stands proudly and starts pointing towards the different areas from their vantage point "A shipwreck, a landslide, a fire, a windstorm, Et cetera..." She spreads her arms wide "I created this training facility to prepare you to deal with different types of disasters. I call it the Unforeseen Simulation Joint!" She turns and points at the group of students "But, you can call it, USJ!"

While Aizawa goes over to talk to Thirteen Mina starts taking pictures "Toru! Ask people what they think of this place"

"O-ok! Uh... Hitomi? What do you think?" She looks at the taller girl

"I have no idea" she chuckles "It's all blurry to me"

"Oh..." She looks at the magnificent sight "There's no way you can see it...?"

"Well..." She steps up to top step of the long staircase down and covers her own eye on the side Aizawa and Thirteen are standing, having nobody in her line of sight she presses a button on the side of her visor causing the eyeholes to open

She gasps as the sight of the majestic USJ facility... Taking it all in... Then after a few moments of admiration she reluctantly presses the button again causing her eyes to once again be covered... She returns to Toru "It's absolutely beautiful... I'm in awe and I'm sure we're gonna learn a lot here"

Aizawa finishes his talk with Thirteen and turns back to the students "The clock's ticking. We should get started" he goes and leans against a wall

Thirteen opens her arms "Excellent! Before we begin, let me just say one thing. Well, maybe two things. Possibly three, four, or five..."

The class sigh

"Listen carefully" she raises her hand "I'm sure you're aware that I have a powerful Quirk. It's called Black Hole. I can use it to suck up anything and turn it into dust."

Midoriya smiles wide "Yeah, you've used Black Hole to save people from all kinds of disasters before, haven't you?" As he's speaking Ochaco is frantically nodding in excitement

"That's true, but my Quirk could also very easily be used to ki/ll..." That gets a gasp from some people "Some of you also have powers that can be dangerous"

[Long Thirteen speech incoming]

"In our superhuman society, all Quirks are certified and stringently regulated, so we often overlook how unsafe they can actually be" she gestures with both hands "Please don't forget that if you lose focus or make the wrong move, your powers can be deadly. Even if you're trying to do something virtuous like rescue someone.

Thanks to Aizawa's fitness tests, you have a solid idea of your Quirk's potential. And because of All Might's combat training, you likely experienced how dangerous your powers can be when used against other people. Carry those lessons over to this class. Today, you're going to learn how to use your Quirks to save people's lives. You won't be using your powers to attack enemies or each other, only to help. After all, that's what being a hero is all about. Ensuring the safety of others.

She bows elegantly "That's all I have to say. Thank you so much for listening"

The students all cheer and applaud!

"Right" Aizawa points towards the expanse of the USJ "Now that that's over..."

Before he can continue, the lights of the dome start to spark sputter and die. In the centre a purple haze appears... Before growing into a large cloud of darkness

Aizawa's stance becomes tense "Stay together and don't move!" He stares down at the dark cloud "Thirteen. Protect the students!"

Hitomi frowns "Somethings gone very wrong..."

Toru looks at her in concern "W-what...?"

"Whoa, what is that thing?" Kirishima cups a hand over his eyes to see better "Wait, has the training started already? I thought we were rescuing people?"

Some students take a confused step forward...

"Stay back!!"he pulls his goggles up over his eyes "This is real. Those are villains"

The Villains in question start moving forward

Hitomi cups her hands around her eyes like horse blinders and opens her visor again 'Oh my god... There's so many...' as she looks over the evil crowd her eyes fix on a blocky individual covered in multiple eyes.

Down below the guy covered in eyes stiffens and grunts! As his strange form turns to stone the Villains around him scamper away and yell in surprise! "They're attacking already!! We gotta hurry!" Instead of walking they all start running towards the stairs

The classmates above don't notice what happened due to distance... However Aizawa does

"What? Real villains? No way." Kirishima clenches his fists "How could so many of 'em get into a UA facility this secure?"

Momo steps forward "Yeah, Thirteen. Why aren't the alarms going off?"

"Good question..." Thirteen looks around "I'm not sure"

Todoroki starts theorising... "Is the entire campus under attack? Or is this their only target? Either way, if the alarm sensors aren't being triggered, then one of these villains must have a Quirk that's masking their presence here. They carefully chose this isolated facility as an entry point at a time when a class was being taught. They're fools for trespassing here, but they've thought this out. Whatever their plan, they must have a concrete objective in mind. But what is it?"

Aizawa steps forward to the stop of the stairs "Thirteen, get them outta here. And alert the main campus. Actually, if they've got the ability to block our sensors, then they might be jamming our regular communications, too..." He points back at Kaminari "Kaminari, try using your Quirk to contact the school"

"Yes, sir" the boy follows orders and starts trying

Midoriya steps forward "What're you gonna do? You can't fight them on your own! There's too many of-"

Hitomi grips his shoulder "He has no choice but to fight. Their job is to protect us and between the two of them Aizawa is best suited to combat. Or." She grips his shoulder tighter "Are you asking Thirteen to turn them all to dust.?"

Midoriya pales "N-no of course not...!"

She turns to Aizawa "Mr Aizawa, you hold them off and Thirteen will escort us out"

Aizawa chuckles "I taught you well it seems... I'll leave it to you, Thirteen!" He leaps down the stairs towards the Villains

Thirteen turns to the students "Everybody! It's time to go, let's hurry to the exit"

Midoriya clenches his fists "But Aizawa..."

Hitoshi steps forward and grabs the back of his collar "Is holding them off so we can escape. The sooner we get out of here the sooner he can fall back" he starts dragging the boy away

Thirteen makes her way through the group to the front "That is correct, let's go quickly"

Hitomi stays at the back just in case and as the class press forward she walks backwards with a hand to her visor 'If anyone gets past Aizawa they'll have to come up here from the stairs unless they can fly...'

"Hitomi! Keep up would ya!?" Mina yells at her from the group

"Sorry!" Thanks to being able to see behind her she picks up the pace to a backwards jog

That is until she hears Thirteen gasp and sees the large dark cloud from the Villain side form tall in front of Thirteen

The cloud looms above them "There is no escape for you." It's a pleasure to meet you. We are the League of Villains. I know it's impolite, but we decided to invite ourselves in to this haven of justice to say hello. And besides, isn't this a fitting place for All Might, the Symbol of Peace, to take his last breath? I believe he was supposed to be here today, and yet I see no sign of him. There must've been some sort of change in plans we could not have foreseen" the cloud seems to spread large flowing arms wide "Ah, well, in the end I suppose it doesn't matter. I still have a role to play"

As he's speaking Hitomi pushes through the class and to the front behind Thirteen 'When I get the chance I'll use my eyes. He's got those yellow things... They seem eye like... Can I turn a cloud to stone though...?' she rests a hand on her visor button 'I can try! Once Thirteen distracts him I'll try and catch his eye.'

As Thirteen raises one of her glove's open fingertips for battle Bakugo and Kirishima suddenly launch forward with a battle cry and land an explosive attack on the cloud! Causing a huge dark smokescreen to cover everyone's view

Hitomi coughs as the smell of the smoke hits her enhanced sense of smell... 'What the hell...!? Why'd they rush in!?', She sees Bakugo and Kirishima's body heat through the smoke... Along with a quickly reforming cloud of coldness

Kirishima grins "Did ya think we were just gonna stand aro-"

"Get out if there you idiots! He's not down!" Hitomi yells

"You live up to your school's reputation. But you should be more careful, children. Otherwise, someone might get hurt." He returns to his still looming height and glares down at the two boys

Thirteen points her open finger forward "You two, get out of the way, right now!!"

Black clouds start surrounding them "I'll scatter

you across this facility to meet my comrades, and your deaths!"

Hitomi throws caution to the wind and holds down the button on her visor as they're consumed by darkness 'His eyes! Where are his eyes!?'

She feels somebody grab her around the waist and through the cold darkness she can barely make out Toru's form

"Hitomi we've gotta get out...!!" She pulls her by the arm

"Y-you're ri- iiiiiight...!?" She feels the ground beneath her give way as she falls through the darkness bringing Toru along with her! "Toru!!"

"Hitomi!!" She grips her arm tight as they fall into darkness...
