Chapter 19: Gay panic
Hitomi stares at the caterpillar 'Not the sleeping bag agaiiiiin!!'
Uraraka is completely unaware of the strange yellow creature behind her and keeps talking "What do you think we're doing today besides orientation? I wonder what our teachers are like I can't wait to meet everybody!"
The caterpillar that is actually Aizawa Sensei in a sleeping bag laid on his side stares up Ida, Uraraka and the Midoria in disapproval "If you're just here to make friends you can pack up your stuff now"
Uraraka slowly turns and looks down at him in mounting horror! Beginning to whimper in fear!
"Welcome to UA's Hero course" he unzips the sleeping bag a bit and drains a juice packet in one squeeze while the three students stay frozen!
Hitomi facepalms! 'I don't know him! I know him not! Completely unfamiliar with this individual!'
"It took Eight seconds for you to shut up." He stands and starts emerging from the sleeping bag cocoon "That's not gonna work. Time is precious. Rational students would understand that"
Everybody staaaares at him and he starts introducing himself as their Teacher before presenting them with gym uniforms and telling them to go get changed and meet him outside
He walks away and leaves the sleeping bag full of gym uniforms behind
Hitomi dies inside! 'Why were you keeping those in there with you!? What if one of us is germophobic!? Or gross dead eyed old man-aphobic!?'
Ida steps forward and starts handing out uniforms! They each have their seat numbers stitched on the inside of the collars, he gets through them one at a time as he pulls them from the pile "Number Thirteen!"
Hitomi steps up and takes it "Thank you" 'Gaaaah Aizawa they're warm!!' she shivers!
Ida nods "You're welcome" he hands out a few more then... "Number Nine!"
Hitoshi steps up and takes it "Thanks"
Ida nods "You're welcome, Number-!" he continues
Hitoshi and Hitomi stand together while the rest of the class get their uniforms
"So how you liking the classmates so far?" Hitoshi leans against the wall
"Well... That Kaminari guy made it awkward to start with... Ashido was nice though and Ida set him straight"
"Ashido is the pink one right?" He looks around at their classmates
"Ugh! You can't say that kinda thing man! Racist bastard" She grins and bumps her shoulder into his!
"Awwww you already found a girlfriend? That was fast"
She blushes! "Shut up Washy!"
Mina comes over "Hi! I heard my name" she turns to Hitoshi "I'm Mina Ashido, you weren't here when we introduced ourselves"
He raises a casual hand in greeting "Hey... I'm Hitoshi Shinso"
Mina smiles! "Nice to meetcha! I love your hair"
"My hair?" He looks confused
"Yeah! It's all over the place and wild" she gives a thumbs up! "Cool!"
"Uhhh... Thanks I guess?" 'Should I give her a compliment back or...?' luckily he doesn't have to as someone interrupts
"Excuse me? Ribbit" the Frog girl Asui comes over holding her gym uniform "Sorry to interrupt... The other girls are heading to get changed now" Hitomi's snakes all stare at Asui and hiss hungrily! She gulps! "R-ribbit?"
Hitomi gives the snakes a round of head smacks! "I am SO sorry Asui...!" She bows! "They won't hurt you I promise they're just being rude"
Asui raises a placating hand "It's ok don't worry about it... It's because I'm frog like right? Ribbit"
"I think so..." She stays bowed
Hitoshi hides his laughter behind his hand!
Hitomi glares at him! "A-anyway let's go" she heads for the group of other girls!
Ashido waves "Bye Washy!" That slaps the laughter from his mouth!
Hitomi, Ashido and Asui join all the other girls and they head off for the changing rooms, all of them chasing off the little grape boy Mineta when it was discovered he tried to follow them!
Yaoyorozu groans... "He's in the seat next to mine..." That gets her a round of sympathy...
Uraraka pats her shoulder "It's ok... If he does anything creepy we'll all report him yeah?" They all nod
Hitomi shimmies through the group before reaching the invisible girl "Hey... Hagakure...?"
She stiffens and doesn't look! "Y-yeah...?"
"I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable... I've never really been in this kinda situation before..."
"No... it's just... How... How can you see me...?"
Asui cuts in "I was wondering how you can see at all? Your eyes are covered"
"Ah... My snakes" said snakes hiss proudly! "They have thermal vision and normal vision with a bit of color blindness and they share their senses with me so I can see all around me"
Hagakure finally looks at her "So you can see my body heat?"
"Yeah, but the sense is super advanced so nothing is hazy at all it's just interesting colors"
"I see... I'm sorry for being weird..." She rubs the back of her head "I'm just not used to being well... Seen..." She chuckles "Heck I can even strip off na-" she freezes and stiffly looks at Hitomi "S-so... During the entrance exam... Y-you could... You could see...?" Her cheeks start heating up! Indicating a blush!
Hitomi blushes in return! "Y-yeah... Yeah I could..."
Ashido griiiiins! "Ohhhh? What happened between you two in the entrance exam? What did she seeeee?"
Hitomi blushes more! "W-well... Um..."
Hagakure frantically waves her invisible hands! "N-nothing! Nothing happened! Nothing was seen! Right Sekizō!?"
"Y-yeah! Nothing" she nods!
Ashido keeps grinning like the Cheshire cat "Suuuuure sure, hey is Hagakure blushing tooooo?"
Hitomi looks at Hagakure and Hagakure sloooowly and stiffly shakes her head so the others don't see her collar moving! "Nnnnno, no she is not"
"Suuuuure she's not!" Ashido rests her arms behind her head and smirks
They spend the remainder of the short walk in silence avoiding looking at each other with Ashido looking between them like she's a cat that's found a new toy 'These two are gonna be fun!'
Upon arriving at the gym and entering the female changing rooms Hitomi realises too late that she has a problem she has never faced before due to her unpopularity at her previous school... She's about to be in a room full of beautiful undressing girls!
She was always pressured by the popular girls to change separately because she was a "Mutant freak" so she's changed alone for a long time... Never spending time around girls as mature as her in this environment... But now...
'Oh my God oh my Goooood! How do I handle this situation!? And why, WHY do they have to all be freekin' supermodels!?' she's facing the wall and has yet to start changing... She's way too nervous to do anything right now and she's trying not to "look" at the girls around her 'If they notice they'll get super uncomfortable and not want me around...!'
The purple haired girl Jiro notices her inaction "Hey... You doing ok? You seem really tense..." she unbuttons her shirt
'Oh I wonder why!? Why am I tense girl that is removing her clothing right next to me!? Gaaaah! I'm not equipped for this!' "Y-yeah! Just! Uhh... Bathroom!" She runs out!
The girl's share a look with each other and Jiro comments "I guess... She's shy?"
Ashido shakes her head "Yyyye- no, though that's part of it"
Yaoyorozu frowns "Part of it? What's the rest of it?"
Asui joins the conversation "She's gay right? Ribbit"
Uraraka and Yaoyorozu and even Jiro blush! In Uraraka's case it's a double blush
Ashido laughs! "Wow that's pretty blunt Asui!"
"Sorry... Ribbit... I've been told I should try not to be so blunt..." Her head and hanging tongue droop...
"Naaaah it's fine it's just how you are! And I mean none of us have a problem with Sekizō's sexuality right?" She gets a round of "No"s and the like in response "Then we just gotta work on helping her feel comfortable right?"
"Y-yeah! We gotta look out for each other" Uraraka pumps her fists!
They all agree and continue to change
Hagakure has remained silent the entire time as they changed... She looks towards the door Hitomi vanished through... 'I hope she's ok...'
