[....] = Mew speaking telepathically

Ace hopped from roof to roof towards the sea followed by Mew who was laying lazily on a floating pink bubble. "So mind telling me what you are?" Asked Ace as he leaped towards another roof.

[I'm not sure myself,] said Mew telepathically. Ace was surprised to hear a childish voice suddenly speak in his head causing him to somewhat tense up for a brief second because of the weird sensation. "I see," he muttered.

Jumping from the last roof he landed on a harbor, the Going Merry slowly moving in the distance. Seeing the ship and Luffy leaning on the railing of it while laughing Ace smiled before leaping at the railing.

Seeing Ace jump towards the ship Mew sighed before also flying towards it, all this time he was in deep thought about something.

In a few seconds Ace landed right behind Luffy causing him to stumble backward, "Ace!" Said Luffy excitedly while looking at Ace whom was crouching over while on the railing. Mew arrived a second or so later, he could've arrived even before Ace if he really wanted but he was taking his time.

[I have something to tell you, everyone,] said Mew while getting off his bubble causing it to pop out of existence.

"What is it Mew-san?" Asked Vivi curiously, she wasn't the only curious one however, the rest of the crew also wanted to know what he wanted to say.

He was silent for a moment before taking a deep breath [I will not be following you in your journey to stop Crocodile,] he said, silence engulfed the whole ship, for a while all you could hear was small waves hitting the ship before it was broken by Chopper, "What?! why?!" he asked saddened.

"Yea why?!" questioned Luffy hastily.

[There's no need to worry I'm not leaving, I'm merely exploring the island while you guys defeat Crocodile. If things get too dangerous you can always call me through our mind link and I'll immediately rush towards your location,] answered Mew hurriedly.

"Oh," said Luffy and Chopper while sighing a sigh of relief, their faces brightened up, especially Luffy's, "that's right we'll beat the crap out of Crocodile, shishihshishi!" he said while showing a toothful smile. The rest of the crew were also smiling while Nami and Usopp were freaking out.

[Then I'll see you guys later,] said Mew before floating up into the sky, his whole body was covered in a light-blue glow. Back at the ship Ace who was quiet until now spoke, "what is it doing?" he asked curiously.

"Just watch, it's something cool!" answered Luffy excitedly, puzzling Ace even further.

Soon the glow dissipated revealing a large, orange, bipedal dragon with two turquoise wings on its back. The dragon also had two long antennas on its head. Its arms were a little on the short side being round with 3 claws for fingers.

(WHO IS THAT POKEMON!)

Seeing the dragon float in Mew's previous place Ace had a shocked expression on his face, seeing his expression Luffy couldn't help but laugh, "shishishishishi, cool huh!" he said receiving only a nod from Ace.

Mew took in a lot of air into his lungs before roaring, "DRAGONITE!" sending a small shockwave in a 5-meter radius around him.

He started flapping his wings at an extremely fast speed before flying high into the sky above the clouds causing a sonic boom as he flew. The sonic boom sent large waves in all directions.

"SUGOI!"

I arrived high above the clouds in only a few seconds which was pretty easy since Dragonite was said to be one of the fastest flying Pokemon in the series, Dragonite could circle the globe in a mere 16 hours.

I lied I wasn't going to explore the island, why would I transform into one of the fastest Pokemons if I could reach the island in my normal speed in no time? I was flying this high because I was checking If I could reach Skypiea or find other sky islands, I might try to visit space but that's for a later date.

You might be wondering why didn't I transform into Deoxys, the fastest Pokemon with a speed stat of 200, or Regieleki, well it's simple really, I can't transform into legendary Pokemon or above since I'm a mere hatchling.

I continued my search for a sky island for one more hour or so before giving up and flying back towards Alabasta, a lot is going to happen today, the battle with Crocodile and all.

You might be wondering why am I searching for a sky island specifically, the answer is quite simple. Who wouldn't want their own flying island as a base? I could make a new one by making an uninhabited island from the blue sea float with telekinesis but why would I do that? It would not only be mentally straining but also a lot of work.

Wouldn't it be better if I just find an uninhabited sky island, it would not only mean less work for me but also just like Tim Heidecker said, "It's free real estate."
